August 1,2021 Also as Sally Burnett I paid the ladies $400 to bunny-sit for my Bunny while I was in the hospital. Now they won't give her back. They gave me a written promise to return her when i was ready. They were Konnie Olsenin Frederick, CO, who owns the 'sitting' part and Eliza Loovis in Broomfield, who helps with transport. This isn't an adoption in any way, just a sitting job for a customer at Konnie's home. I am 78 years old, I have owned Bunny for 2&1/2 yrs and she is so beautiful, loving and intelligent. I want her back . Medium sized white bunny, dark brown markings. The markings on her back look like a cross or a tree. It takes some really bad people to steal an old woman's pet and take her money too. Sally Burnett -Aurora, CO 80011

A wonderful experience working with these amazing ladies to find our boy a soul mate. A great stress free process that they offer!! Would highly recommend to anyone! They truly care about all of the buns here. They are so knowledgeable and won’t adopt to just anyone and make sure to educate you before sending you on your way. And I love that they rescue so many buns and find them great homes. Thank you again HRS! :)

They have a wonderful little shop with very reasonably prices bunny toys made by volunteers. You can also get hay, pellets, etc. This is a very well organized rescue and their buns get the very best care. Check out their website if you want to adopt or learn about what it's like to have a bunny in your home. Replies might take a bit since they are super busy caring for buns.

They truly care about all the rabbits. They are all highly educated in rabbit husbandry. They knew the answer to every question ive asked and if they didn't know, they knew someone who did know. There adoption process whent smooth and as planed. Also great for rabbit supplies. Would highly recomend for anyone who seriosly wants a bunny. If your not serious about loving and taking care of a rabbit then you shouldnt have one at all.

No kill shelter for rabbits, all around rabbit experts, and they offer grooming and supplies. All around wonderful place that cares deeply about their cute little charges.

The adoption process went smoothly for us. My daughters and I visited nearly once a week in the months leading to the adoption, and all the people there were gracious in letting us have a peek at the buns when we didn't have an …

Great place to adopt a pair of bunnies! We had to give up ours for adoption, and we're positive they will get the care they need until somebody takes them home.

If you're looking to adopt some bunnies, this is the place to go. They take great care of those in their charge. They take the time to match the right pair of bunnies to each other and to you.

This place brings me so much sadness. I understand what they are trying to do, but it has become so over strict, under staffed, and disorganized. And it’s not fair to the bunnies. I just moved to the Arvada area and I am an proud owner of a single fixed female house bunny. I applied to adopt over 3 weeks ago now. At first I didn’t hear back. I saw on their Facebook page that they are open to the public on Saturdays from 10-2pm. My BF and I got in the car and made the 40 min journey to their facility. It was pretty cool at first. When we drove up we saw an outdoor inclosure that had ample space for those bunnies to run, jump and enjoy their outside lifestyle. Once someone approached us we explained we are looking to adopt and wondering if we could apply in person due to not hearing back online. They informed us they had no applications to hand out and told us to send an email again. Okay...we come to a rescue/adoption facility and you don’t have applications. (Red flag #1) As we enter the facility my nose burned. The urine/ammonia smell was unbelievable. They seem to be over run with rabbits and very unstaffed with volunteers. Urine coated the floor and My pants as we walked through visiting all the bunnies. When we tried to ask volunteers about them, no one had any idea what was going on. As a house bunny owner and advocator, walking in to this “House Bunny Society” made my blood boil. I understand recuses have limited resources and funds. But they don’t seem to be adopting out any rabbits. Just hoarding them. Most of their residents have been there an average of 2 years or more! We finally received an email back with the application. We filled it out and was told it wasn’t sent back in a DOC format so it couldn’t be read. ???? We sent a PDF due to having apple computers. Who cant open a PDF? So my boyfriend had to get on his HP work computer and send it back in the correct format. After a week we hear nothing back. Very frustrated, my boyfriend and I reach out again. Even trying to call the facility to no avail. I decide to comment on their Facebook post, a couple of sister buns looking for a new home. Saying we are very interested and still waiting to hear back. FINALLY we receive a email back saying she could meet with us any time at 3 o’clock this coming week or we would have to wait till the middle of August. My boyfriend and I both work. So 3pm in the middle of a work week wasn’t going to work for anyone and the middle of August was still the same times. We emailed back explaining our situation. Thinking it wouldn’t be a huge deal since a lot of people work during the week. Instead we get an email back saying those are the only times she has available. Not showing signs of wanting to work with us at all. So with an extremely heavy heart I’m writing this review. Sadly we won’t be able to adopt from them. Hoping it will change something in the way they run their rescue. Attaching pictures of my fur daughter Miss Bunn❤️????

Awesome place. This organization is 100% run by volunteers. For those out there that gave negative reviews I want to point out that if you do not like their process for adopting out the rabbits they have decided so graciously to take care of then you probably shouldn't be allowed to adopt from them in the first place. To the person who said the cages are unsanitary I know for a fact that is not true. All cages there are cleaned at least once a week. Yes the cages are older but the rabbits are all given exceptional care and love. Honestly if you think things could be better than I would encourage anyone to volunteer their time helping. It is very rewarding to help the cute bunnies and they are always grateful.

If you are heading here for the first time there is no sign for the rescue along Lowell, you turn at the sign for the Bloomfield vet clinic. The first door you come to is for the bunny barn, where all the rabbits are, the door at the far …

What an amazing rescue. They were able to pair up my male lion head with a female, and he is so much happier. They are so very nice and informative there, and made me feel welcome. I would recommend this rescue to anyone looking for help with bunnies. They are next door to a vet who specializes in rabbits as well as a cute little rabbit related shop that has wonderfully hand made toys and treats for your bunnies at decent prices. Only negative part is that the shop is only open on Saturdays 10-2 .

Very large selection of rabbits. That's about it. Entirely volunteer run, so you may get there and no one is there. And when we were there, we were treated like incompetent fools and talked to like we were idiots. No one answers phones, responds to emails, nothing. The adoption process, understandably, is very long and they also require you come back months later for a training seminar. Quite an inconvenience if you have previously taken care of several rabbits... also another very big bummer is that this place supposedly never adopts single rabbits. Not all rabbits necessarily need to be bonded if you give them the required attention. The cages were arguably very unsanitary... for a shelter all about rabbits, they don't seem to keep them very clean... overall I feel bad for the rabbits here as they probably never get to go to truly good homes because the overly strict requirements drive off people who would actually take good care of them.
