It has taken me months to even be able to visit this site to write a review. If there were a zero star option, that would be too high. This 'so-called" vet saw all 3 of our animals, and on more than one occasion we heard 'hmm, I'm not sure' or 'I don't know'. YOU ARE A VET how do you not know? She had to refer us out to other vets or specialty clinics because she was clueless. As a result of her lack of knowledge, we lost our sweet Blackjack:( because she (Dr.Kizer) had given him the worse medication possible for his diabetes. Save your money, but more importantly, save your pet. Look for a different vet.

This is a nice small town vet, I like the way it is set up,as a well as conveniently located between Loveland and longmont, and easy to get to,my kitty likes her Dr. And is very well behaved for her. They also are set up to come to homes ,if your pet is too emotionally high strung to ride in car.

We have recently Moved here from Northern Virginia and had not needed the services of a vet until our Westie developed a quick growing lump on her snout. On the recommendation of a friend, we made an appointment with Dr. Kizer. When I arrived I was a little skeptical because of the size and informality of the office. I learned quickly it was the way the team operated and they did a great job. I found it to be an efficient, professional, comprehensive and most of all caring. Dr Kizer was very kind, knowledgeable and honest in her assessment of what was going on with lump. Her approach to dealing with the lump was reasonable and not overly aggressive. After a course of antibiotics and observation, the lump was biopsyed and removed. It found to be benign. We like Dr. Kizer and her team and will be returning when we need other health care for our dog.

These guys were awesome. My baby boy has a serious issue with riding in cars so getting to the vet office is a problem. The doctor and vet tech came to my house and really helped put him at ease. We ended up needing to go into the office after all but seeing them in his home really helped put Toby at ease. They were very understanding of his mental state and really helped keep us all as calm as possible.

For those of you who have spoken badly of Dr. Kizer in these very few reviews obviously don't know her. Most of you who have written these negative comments about Dr. Kizer have no idea what a wonderful vet she is and its sad for you and your pets for not giving yourself the opportunity to get to know her before your quick judgement. Dr. Kizer has been there for our family and animals for over 25 years. Dr. Kizer is everything many spoke very passionately about in these many great reviews about her because they took the time to get to know her. Dr. Kizer has gotten us through the good times and bad times with all of our babies that have came and gone over these 25 years and I can tell you she cares more than she will ever let you know. We have had a few situations where Dr. Kizer had to be creative and I knew she had spent many hours researching to find us a good resolutions. Dr. Kizer is very knowledge, resourceful and compassionate vet. I couldn't imagine having anyone else care for my babies. So don't let a moment in time or an inconvenience define who you think she is.

Dr Kizer has always gone above and beyond in the care of our animals. Highly recommend.

I agree with all the one star ratings regarding this business. We attempted to establish a relationship with this Vet when we brought our 8 week old Schnauzer puppy home. Contrary to the position of the owner, the COVID-19 procedures were not explained to us. When we arrived for our appointment and opened the door to inquire, we were greeted with rudeness and disrespect by the Vet herself. She could possess the best Vet skills in the area, but we will never know because establishment of trust and caring between patient and doctor should be the first step. That didn't happen in this case. We have made an appointment with a Vet clinic of about the same size in a neighboring town. The clinic has similar COVID-19 procedures but, in this case, they were explained to us complete with what procedures to follow when we arrived. That's a good first step, and we'll see how it goes. We have had 4 Schnauzers prior to our new puppy, and they each lived 12 - 13 years so we are looking to establish a positive professional relationship with a good Vet over that period of time. If you are looking for the same, my opinion is that this clinic (Animal Health At Home) is not for you. Keep looking.

The staff was very conscious about COVID safety. They were great with our not-really-social cats and we appreciated everyone's helpfulness.

I brought my 8 week old pup in, and because we have to wear masks, we have to make appointments and they come outside. My appointment was at 4, and we didn’t know they were running so behind. It is hot and my poor pup was so hot. They didn’t tell us they were running behind. The dr was really rude to me and when I asked that my appointment was at 4, and I thought it would be at 4 or a little after, she said no. I won’t be back.

We have been taking all of our pets to Dr Kizer for years. She has always treated our pets with compassion (and us too!) When we had sick and aging dogs she did a great job of guiding us through things and looking at all our options. We wouldn't go anywhere else!

Great first experience! Dr. Mary and her assistant were amazing with my Chinese Shar-Pei puppy for his first round of vaccinations. I also love the option for the “at-home” visits too...we will certainly be returning!!!

Thorough, thoughtful, great vets. They have helped me through some difficult pet issues, and are able to do housecalls. All of my pets have been calmly euthanized in the comfort of their home when their time has come.

Wonderful Dr. Office visit 50$, definitely doable. They also called to check up on my pup a week later.

We had to make the difficult decision to put down our beloved dog of 13 years. She was unable to make any kind of car trip so we call on Dr Kizer for help. She was kind, caring, informative, and above all empathetic. I don't really know how she is able to do what she does. OUTSTANDING and recommended without reservation.

I didn’t end up taking my cat here, and I’m glad I didn’t. My cat was extremely sick and I was rushing to find somewhere I could take her right away. I walked in to ask if they took walk ins, and was ignored for a couple minutes until finally an older woman asked what I was here for, and she extremely rudely told me they didn’t do walk ins and basically laughed in my face. She was VERY rude to me, didn’t offer any info or where I should go. I wouldn’t want to take any of my animals here ever. I’m glad I didn’t.

The staff is very friendly andaresponsive! Both of the doctors in this clinic are very knowledgeable and extremely kind. My dogs just love everyone in this clinic and they are were so patient with us. They are very reasonably priced as well and I don't have to stress anymore when it comes to getting my animals taken care of!

I have never met someone with such poor bedside manner and so disrespectful in someone else's home. I will not be recommending her services to anybody in the future.

Dr. Kizer and her medical assistant came to our home to inspect our cat's teeth. He was chewing oddly. Our cat responded amazingly well to her soft approach and cat conscious attitude. And our cat is a real 'scaredy cat' but with a Big Head and Big Teeth - an almost 20 pound Tabby. I was so happy to be able to have an animal health care professional come into our home without having to freak out our cat with a car drive and smells of a doctor's office. I highly recommend Berthoud's Animal Health at Home! and The Price is Right!!!

Had a great experience with my 5 month english bulldog Toretto. Had an emergency visit on a Saturday a half hour before closing. Toretto had got a fish hook stuck in his lip and was taken care of quickly and very reasonable. I live in Denver and will be using them as my regular vet for my pet Toretto.

Dr. Kizer and Dr. Hiatt were terrific in diagnosing and treating my cats. My youngest cat,Timbre, has inflammatory bowel disease. The plan devised by the doctors literally saved her life. We couldn't be more grateful.

Dr. Kizer has been lovingly taken taking care of my pets for 13 years!! She is amazing. Elmo, my oldest dog loves her!!
