I have taken my babies here every time I have had to leave town. The detail of the application and the owner’s knowledge of guinea pigs always makes me feel safe leaving them in the care of Cavy Care (even more so than with a friend). The cages are well kept and spacious and my piggies have always come back groomed and healthy. Care here is extremely affordable and the owner has always been professional and easy to reach/ make plans with. Extremely convenient with the lack of guinea pig boarding anywhere. Cavy Care is a lifesaver!

We board our guinea pigs here whenever we fly out of Denver. Our guinea pigs are so well cared for, the prices are RIDICULOUSLY good for what you get (you don't have to provide your own food or cage!) , and the best part is that you know the owner actually knows how to take care of guinea pigs. 10/5, highly recommend.

So thankful for Cavy Care. Was a life saver and the only reason we were able to travel. We live in rural Wyoming and there is only dog or cat boarding. I didn't want to leave our little piggies with people unfamiliar with GPs. Prices are a steal, level of care incredible AND a free nail trim! Even offered to send us pictures and updates. 10 out of 5 stars

This place is amazing. They provide an "essential" service at a reasonable price. They run their business with great intentions. I am so thankful they exist. It may feel like they are strict, but I believe everything is to ensure you both have a good experience. They seem to work very hard to ensure things go smoothly while they are caring for your little ones. If you are reasonable, you will absolutely be treated reasonably in return. Our girls always come home happy.

This place is amazing! Boarded our two girls here for almost a week during a trip to Utah. The forms are very thorough, but it is all in safety and care for the piggies. They are also very each to get in contact with whether it's through phone, email, or text message. The prices are very reasonable as well! Shannon is the sweetest lady you'll ever meet and is very knowledgeable and you can tell the team is genuinely compassionate about guinea pigs. When I brought my piggies back home, they were already fed and were much more relaxed than they have ever been since we've had them. We will definitely return!

Had a wonderful experience having my girls stay here while I went on a short trip home to visit family. Always received a response to emails when I checked on them, and when I had confusion about my pick up time due to losing my phone and calendar on my trip they were very helpful in letting me know when I scheduled my pick up. Everything was straightforward from scheduling to pricing and during drop off you could see how much they cared.

When Milt showed up in our backyard 5 yrs ago and no neighbor in the area said it was theirs (one person lied about having cavies, so we suspect he was placed over a fence), CCI had him checked out, tried to pair him (unsuccessfully- a bit of a loner until 2 years later) and gave great advice. CCI will be missed as a cavy rescue.

Even though they no longer adopt out guinea pigs, it is done with selfless thought to those pigs, understanding the level of time, money and most of all care that is needed. Shannon & crew are still awesome people, great resources, and will give nail trims to the wiggliest of pigs. If you have guinea pig questions I advise you send a message. They aren't vets but have a wealth of realistic knowledge and know a network of reliable, cavy savvy vets. Plus, they have the cutest guinea pig crafts and gifts!

The Guinea pigs are very well cared for and potential adoptees are professionslly screened in order to ensure that they continue to be well cared for.

My wife called to ask for questions as we show interest in adopting; no one answered so we've left a voicemail. Got a too straightforward and abrupt text a couple minutes later, which sounded mean. Went to a pet store instead, who's more …

Cavy Care is such a great rescue, can't say enough good things about this place! Super clean with plenty of space for the pigs and Shannon is super nice and knowledgeable about guinea pigs. I adopted a buddy for my pig from Cavy Care in early June and she even gave me some natural tips that helped my current pig with a arthritic leg he has. Shannon is so, so kind and helpful. You can immediately tell that she really cares about these pigs and making sure they all find good homes. Again, can't recommend Cavy Care enough if you're looking to adopt a guinea pig! :) (Still a bit bad about learning to stay still for the camera, haha but here's slightly blurry a pic of the new pig, Wrex)

I have been to this guinea pig rescue two different times to spend time with these wonderful animals. Shannon is a wonderful caregiver to the guinea pigs. I am not in a position to adopt right now but if I was, Cavy Care would be the place I would adopt my guinea pig from. There is no one more knowledgeable or loving toward these little guys than Shannon. Five stars! :)

The boarding manager is super sweet, knowledgeable, and cared for our piggies like they were her own. Love that they get their nails clipped for free! Our girls were definitely treated like queens while they stayed with Cavy Care

Our piggy was treated very well. She was well fed including fresh veggies and hay, bathed, and nails clipped. Cage and bedding were clean and comfy. She also has pigs for adoption.

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience at Cavy Care. We were looking for a friend for her recently "widowed" guniea pig. Shannon was very helpful when we were introducing potential new friends. (We brought ours along.) She helped us …

Surrendered my cat to this woman, who was adamant that she would take care of her, regardless that she was not a cat rescue. Ended up getting a call from The Dumb Friends League about 6 months later. They found my cat covered in sewage, had …

Very disapointed when our application was denied with no specific reason or explanation except our dog barks at squirrels in the back yard. Glad they want good homes for their piggies, but this seems like a poor reason. …
