Took my 6 month old bulldog in for an emergency which I called in before hand, showed up and checked in an was told that someone would be out in 30 minutes to do an exam by the receptionist with colorful hair(who was chatting it up with other co-workers by the printer 90% of time) only for FOUR ALMOST FIVE HOURS TO GO BY WITHOUT ANY VET TECH COME OUT AND DO AN EXAM. AFTER COMPLAINING TO THE OLDER RECEPTIONIST SHE GOT US AN EXAM FOR US TO BE TOLD THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING FOR HIM AT NORTHPOINT.

My experience here was easily 5 stars. I had a cat that got sick very quickly. I did lots of research and talked to family members who worked with Veterinarians and one who was a Vet Tech. Trying to get her back to health myself, she began to get better, but then got worse one day. I called VCA and was able to bring her in an emergency, to most likely put her down. The Dr. took her time and did her analysis confirming I was correct in what I did. The few people I spoke with and was dealing with here, were kind and helpful. I'm grateful for my experience with the crew and how they handled everything. The emergency pricing was also less than what I expected. Thanks team for your caring patience and professionalism.

I feel the staff is very rude and the wait time was Ridiculous After sitting there for almost three or three and a half hours I got upset because of a rude comment that a nurses gave us and we walked out with no vet to see my dog with a bleeding eye

If i could give negative stars i would! I have never had such a bad experience with any other vet ever! My year old GSD had damage done to her paws and we were taking her here to have her bandages done, the employees were always very short and rude and always sounded as if they were annoyed by me taking her there, they were very short and snappy with my dog while she was there because she would bark from anxiety, her paws were not healing at all in the couple weeks she’s been going there and one of their extremely rude employees came at me very rude blaming me for her not healing, I have been doing everything and anything i can to help my dog as someone that’s not a vet and she did nothing but sit there and tell me that it’s all my fault. She lied multiple times on my dogs appointment notes saying i was doing things that i have never done and that i refused certain things that i have never done. I was going to leave it alone and continue taking my dog there when she basically made it to where we couldn’t bring her anymore and are making us go to a different vet. Now my dog who has veryyyy bad anxiety has to go to a different vet that she’s not used to and be treated by people she doesn’t know after she just got used to the people at north point. The employee i’m talking about it alicia. She’s extremely rude, has no care for my dog and and her well being at all. I will never go to this vet again!

I am a veterinary professional. I chose to get an OVH for my dog at this hosp. I, in my 17 years, have been paranoid about not being my around during my pet’s anesthesia. I’m usually there participating. But I was able to breathe deep and trust. I let these *strangers* go near my precious doggy woggy wiggle giggle boo boo (I dont actually talk like that but still idk- she’s hella special. Whatever. You get it. BUT Let. Me. Tell. You. This incision is gorgeous and there’s NO bruising! Not on her linea or her ceph vein cath spot. She’s in absolutely no pain. The wound doesn’t bother her, it’s not sensitive at all. I truly gotta respect surgery/anesthesia game where my dog came up smooth and her pokes and slices look beautiful! She cut the straightest line and ligated so well there’s almost no evidence anything even happened. Even the incision looks like a deep scratch. I gotta respect game when I see it. Reception was nice. Comfortable environment. But I’d would go to a busted up yurt that was vacant of chairs if I got surgery that looks this good. Good job everyone! Respect that game, guys! Thank you deeply! Taffeta Punk

We decided to take our animals to Northpointe yesterday to get our new puppy established and vaccinated at a clinic and set up our chihuahua for a neuter. our appointment was at 4:40 we were finally able to leave at 7pm. It took forever for a few shots and a exam. When it came time to pay they recommended all these expensive tests ( our dogs are completely healthy no health issues at all) our bill went from 220 for exams and shots to 600 with all these tests they recommended. When we questioned it they said oh it can wait if needed. We said to take them off completely not needed at all. They couldn't even schedule my chihuahua for his nueter. The receptionist was very rude and seem very impatient with coworkers arguing about the scheduling. I finally just threw my hands up and said just give me a quote I will schedule this later I am exhausted and have been here long enough. Got out to my car with the quote. I couldn't believe the quote said it was for 600.00 dollars for a nueter!!....absolutely ridiculous. We called another vet this morning they quoted me 150 for my chihuahua and can get him in right away and same day give my new puppy her vaccines she will need at that time. This company is in it for the money.

Last night our cat was very sick and needed to see a vet he was bleeding from his behind and his urinary tract. He was throwing up blood. My daughter called to get him in and they said they had no vet available to see him because no one was on call. That's the second time we've tried to take a pet there for an emergency and they say they have no vet available on call. Why do you say you're 24 hours when you never have anyone available? Very upsetting!

We have tried this place at least 3 separate times for dog emergencies and have always been told that they are not taking dogs at the time. They are overpriced and useless.

My kitty had been hit by a car, and had dislocated her hip. The socket was fractured in two places, and surgery wasn't a guaranteed fix, so we decided to put her down. The doctor was very kind and the whole process was peaceful. Thank you for helping us with this sad moment.

We called here in a dire emergency and this is our local emergency vet (still 45 minutes away) and they told us to not come here for any reason. I told them my dog is dying and was told that’s a shame but do not come there. This is a emergency room for pets but don’t come here? My friend was also told to find somewhere else to go on a different occasion. Our dog was bitten by a rattlesnake and they are the only place to have the anti venom in stock within 2 hrs of our home on a Sunday morning. They didn’t care and were very rude. I asked do you have the anti venom and they said yes but they are really busy right now and do not come there. I said I am coming and they said “ your coming for nothing we won’t help you. They can go straight to hell! Don’t support or visit this place as they were willing to just let our dog die!

This may be the hardest review I'll ever write, but I feel this needs to be heard. One day I came home to see my cat (Rorschach) basking on the lawn, but with a broken leg. I don't know how this happened but learned her exact situation was not uncommon. I called around to no avail and my only option was northpointe. The receptionist on the phone was insensitive and just plain abrasive. I can tell she was prodding looking for an excuse to hang up. I ignored all the patronizing talk in hopes my cat can be seen. She gleefully told me the Dr is not in until 8 and I'd have to go to sac or Roseville to get help. It made sense to just wait until 8 rather than drive the hour to wait atleast 3. I told her thank you and Rorschach gave out a single meow and she was quick to tell "you better go somewhere quick your cats NOT SOUNDING TOOOO GOOOOOD!!" I mean, what does she know? She's not an Dr. And if she could diagnose my cats condition over the phone by ear then she should've been able to diagnose &check her attitude before coming in to work. I made the mistake letting my guard down in a cold world @ a place that seemingly would be warming by nature. I digress, apologies. I called back at 7pm and talked to a sherry I believe. She was nicer in the way only someone's who an elder, but still a stranger could be. She informed me that the Dr. Is coming in 30 min early and it's essentially a first come, first serve deal. I got there 15 min after I hung up. Checked in and delivered Rorschach to their care really fast. I slept in my car for hours before I got their call on an update. It's hard to wake up and having to come to the realization just how much money things boil down to, money I haven't cooked up enough of in this stage in life. I had to come to the gripping conclusion Rorschach would have to be put to rest. This crew was extremely sensitive to my feelings, probably because I shielded them after that initial phone call. The Dr. Came in with my rorschach so carefully wrapped and with a soft voice told me to take all the time I need. The moment before that door opened, I was either going to explode, or pour out a river depending on how they were going to present my kitty to me. I was flooded with tears in the Dr. presence. I held rorschach without wasting a second and it seemed like an eternity. She was still herself until the very end. Her strength in it all brought out the weakness in me. Her strength began to wane and I quickly called for the Dr. Aid. She came In with the euthanasia dosage and explained to me exactly what the procedure was. She pet rorschach with me after the dose was administered and wrapped her with such a deep reverence. That Dr. Humanity helped me not feel alone in that room, for that I give her the highest praise for being genuine, and am immensely grateful for extending those courtesies unto me. I hope that Dr. Knows this.. I'd like to leave a few vids+pics of rorschach on here if that's appropriate. My advice when dealing with a place like this is the same when dealing with the world, reserve your emotions until you evaluate and find the place that can receive them with care. Treat these kind of places like a courthouse. An institution full of vultures with their own agenda. Your distress can be a nother person's moment of bliss. Don't confuse the vet with anything different. But I believe all vultures were born as doves, and you'll find when you dig deep enough you'll find those doves in the form of the fresh-eyed,young public defender, or a caring Dr. Who still has the passion for her work and compassion for who that work brings. I hope these words incite a new perspective on the first line of workers @ Northpointe, and I would recommend this place to an stranger with the grain of salt as of now.

This is the worst experience I've ever had at a vet hospital. The reception staff are rude (especially, Sharry) and unorganized. Kyle and Rose have been the only nice staff. However calls are ignored and charts are updated saying they've called when they haven't. Vets seem fairly knowledgeable however the staff overall are so awful, I'm completely disgusted with this place. Worse of all, they have the audacity to treat customers so poorly when we've spent thousands of dollars at their facility. Shame on you, Northpointe.

Have been sitting here for 2 hours. Every dog or cat that comes in has a high priority then my dog. He was here two days ago and they did not get all the foxtails in his mouth. He hasn’t eaten in two days. We are obviously very low priority. I will not bring my pets here ever again

My cat his name is “Come Here”(Kameer) he got really sick and we thought we were going to lose him he had crystals in his bladder blocking him from urinating we took him in and it was serious and we thought we couldn’t afford it. Not only did this vet care about us in general but money wasn’t the most important thing to them we were shocked because it’s about 300$ each time to bring him in but our cat is one of our kids a member of the family we were financially strapped with COVID and everything going on there a few vets that seen him honestly they seen my cat like 6 times and the few times that they seen my cat and didn’t charge us anything was the most critical ones I can assure you he wouldn’t be here today they have my upmost sincerity and respect I can’t thank them enough for everything they have done for us and they didn’t have to they did not know us personally if your animal ever needs a vet trust me this is the one for you no matter what is going on they have a lifetime member here for sure THANK you from me and kameer we love you

This is the first Veterinary that I've taken my dogs to, where they aren't nervous or anxious. I really appreciate how the vets interact with them to make them feel comfortable. The fact that they can get after hours emergency care is also a plus. My latest addition will be meeting them soon.

I can't thank everyone enough for helping me and my cat, Kitty. I want to especially thank Dr. Padilla & Dr. Augustin. I had the hard decision of euthanising my cat or a long recovery. Dr. Padilla was the one who was there when we took kitty in on an emergency. We assumed she was attacked by another animal, but only she knows, and unfortunately lost her front leg. It has been a little over 1month since we 1st brought her in. She is still going through regular bandage changes every few days for a back leg wound that was tore open, but the Dr's and myself can see she's doing great. This is the first time I've ever had to go through something like this and everyone so kind, especially the lady who comforted me when I cried, didn't get her name sadly. Thank you!

If you have nothing but time and money, this is the place for you. I took my pet in for a emergency visit, sat and waited patiently while someone who walked in 30 minutes after me, for the exact same reason, got right in. They didn't even look at my pet to see what kind of condition she was in, until I spoke up, nearly a hour later. We were there over 3 hours and left without a answer as to why my dog is limping.

PLEASE BEWARE! THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME MY DOG BECAUSE I DID NOT ALLOW THEM TO DO OPTIONAL ADD ONS. BRIDGET AUGUSTIN, DVM and I spoke about my animals exam and I refused all ADD ON treatment from HER. I advised I would bring my animal to a Vet of my choice. She later DOCUMENTED that I said I would not bring my animal to a vet whatsoever. BRIDGET AUGUSTIN, DVM advised my animal was going to be leaving with us pending a wrap on his paws ($300) I respectfully declined and advised I would buy all the appropriate material to wrap my animals paw (gauze, elastic wrap, animal wound disinfectant) which was on hold at tractor supply and she was made aware. She said I COULD NOT WRAP THEM, Because A VET WOULD NEED TO. I called her bluff and she stated “we can do an X-ray while we are here”. Mind you he was not there for anything more than a superficial wound, as described by her. Annoyed with the sales style games and after learning my animal had a injury that did not require any further medical treatment, I demanded my animal and to pay for the services. I was told “not unless you sign a refusal form and we may call animal control” I said “I will sign the form and I don’t care who you call I will pay for the services she performed and to BRING Me my dog, SHE HUNG UP ON ME! It should be noted that I told her I would get my animal the best treatment he could get. I advised her that I did not trust her opinion therefore I’d bring my dog elsewhere. She refused me of that! In short We were told we could not have him unless we accepted an OPTIONAL SERVICE. The bottom line is I said NO to an X-ray from BRIDGET AUGUSTIN, DVM and I would get that opinion from another vet. I said No to wrapping my dogs feet because I already purchased the materials that BRIDGET AUGUSTIN, DVM told me she would use to treat him. And I HAVE THAT RIGHT. SHE TOLD ME I DID NOT AND THAT I COULD NOT HAVE MY DOG, UNLESS. 25 minutes elapse and animal control arrives. He informs me that BRIDGET AUGUSTIN, DVM told him my animal was in serious/fragile medical condition and I refused any vet care, vet care that if left untreated would likely result in death. I informed him that was not true which he later learned from BRIDGET AUGUSTIN, DVM. BRIDGET AUGUSTIN, DVM Advised ACO that my animal would at the most need wrapping to his paws. I refused and she then stated that he would need to leave with prescription pain medication from her, I refused as it is my right. Animal control then advised me I would be arrested for misdemeanor “failure to provide vet care” to my animal if I did not get the prescription medication and follow the recommended serving timetable (half a pill every 12 hours for two weeks). IN SHORT YOU CAN REFUSE SERVICE. You are allowed a second opinion and common sense would tell you that a superficial wound is not a life or death situation. After agreeing to leave with a prescription from them they finally decided to bring me my animal TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATER. I read the form “because of the serious or fragile medical condition of my pet, the doctor(s) at this practice........” I refused to sign the paper and another Vet worker pulled back on my dog as he was now in my arms. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE AND I AM SURE MORE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY THIS AS WELL.

Our 14 yr old dog had a sudden change in behavior and was getting sick often. North point quickly diagnosed him with an inoperable tumor. They recommended euthanasia without any doubt. I felt as if they had his best interest at heart and didn’t think dragging it out was appropriate. I am grateful for their professionalism and support on that awful night.

We have switched back to another vet. The wait time at Northpointe is always horrible, their prices are higher and they misdiagnosed my animal's issues. On the good side, their vets and staff are friendly.

They are money hungry!!!! I will never ever take my animals there ever again. Unfortunately we left without our dog because this horrible vet tried to charge me $3,000 due to my dog having low blood sugar! And they refused to let me take her with me and threatened us with the authorities. This place needs to be shut down!! So unprofessional and careless!!!!
