Buster is the best dog we have ever owned. His temperament is amazing, his hips are healthy and he has quickly become our family‘s best friend. Also, the expertise from Sterling breeders was unmatched. They were so helpful in guiding our ownership of our new puppy. We would definitely do business with them again!

It’s is going to be January and you STILL haven’t told me the the puppy I put a 200.00 deposit for last May is not available.Provided a 200.00 deposit in May still waiting for a puppy. Not even sure that there is a real pregnant English Labrador. Really disappointed ???? Sure hope that the AKC catch you. I want my 200.00 BACK You are lying and you know it. I placed and deposit for a promised puppy for October 2021. Look at your own contract and website. Unfortunately you are dishonest and not to be trusted

It's a big deal dog ownership, a commitment for several years. We just picked up our English Labrador. He is a beautiful dog with a block head and has a wonderful temperament. He took to his crate the first night and picks up on potty training so quickly. Mary Anne is wonderful and very professional, providing you with pictures weekly after 6 weeks. Ron is great too, giving you detailed instructions at hand off on vaccination requirements and feeding/care. The hand-off process and quality dog you will be getting is well worth the price. Thank you for our new family member! He's so loved ♥️.

Harley is 8 years old now. I would recommend Sterling Labradors. Beautiful breed puppies. Loving family.

I can not say enough good things about Mary-Anne, Ron & Sterling Labs! We got our first chocolate male pup 7 years ago, and I can honestly not imagine a better dog then Toby. He was our ring bearer when he was 2, and my wife and I got married, he was there through the birth and raising of our now 3 & 5 year old boys, he is great off leash and still a stuning dog. So when it came time for our second, I didn’t even thing twice. So I called Mary-Anne. She really takes the time to answer all your questions, and walks you through the different litters they have currently and plan on having, to help you pick out the perfect pup for you. I told her I wanted a black female this time, and some of the qualities I was looking for, and told me she had two pups she wanted me to look at. So I took the family up to Yuba City, and Mary-Anne & Ron met me at the front gate and invited my wife, my 3 & 5 year old boys, and myself, in like we were family. We got to meet the pups she was talking about, along with others. We also got to meet the parents of the pup we were thing about bringing home. This sealed the deal with Toby 7 years ago, and it did again this last trip with our new pup. If you are thinking about getting an AMAZING Lab, and you would like to raise it from a puppy so it’s part of your family, give them a call. We love Sterling’s Labs! We chose them because they are a family run business and it is easy to see how much Mary Anne and her family care for their dogs. They are also very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. Our puppy is adjusting well. He is so smart, handsome, and has a wonderful, even temperament. He is nine weeks old and quickly learning basic commands. He is already so loved and we know he will make a great companion and family dog. Professional, knowledgeable breeder that seems to have expanded since we were there last. Raises puppies with little kids around which I like a lot. Our English yellow lab, Wally, was born here in August 2008. He’s now 9 and around 85 lbs I think. When we arrived that morning in 2008, there was a litter of 8 or so little puppies. After meeting the owner, we were welcomed to just sit down in the yard as long as we liked and observe/hang out. After an hour, our favorite emerged: the puppy who kept climbing in my lap and wanting to interact. As an adult, Wally is a sweet, patient, mellow dog whose been ideal with rambunctious kids - he’s like a third son. Playful but also mellow and snuggly when needed. Extremely trainable because he is eager to please and reasonably intelligent compared to other dogs I know. Example: before I answer the door he is required to sit down 8 feet back and not get up until given permission. It takes work to achieve this kind of thing but why not enforce good manners like we do with our human kids?This way there is no rushing the door or jumping on people. I can’t stand that! And he still guards the house with a badass bark ;-)). Can’t speak to ability to win prizes in the ring. Had him fixed and never showed him. Can’t speak to hunting/retrieving ability either. Chases squirrels and retrieves balls. Square head per quality English labs. He’s gotten chunky with age but that’s on us not him. Don’t choose English labs for their lean silhouette in later years.
