The staff is very warm and welcoming which helps for the sad reason we had to go there. The staff including Dr. Oakley were very informative explaining what steps were next and what we could expect, and then what options were available to help us to make the best decisions for our furbaby and budget. They genuinely care for our 4 legged family member and the rest of us too!

I'm so happy to have found Dr. Christina Oakley and her entire staff. Everyone has such a wonderful bedside manner, and they were so patient and informative when I decided to go through with chemo therapy after a tumor removal surgery with Dr. Sara Faraci (her amazing regular vet). Whenever you go through something scary, like finding out your dog has cancer, you hope to seek professionals that are good at what they do, and care about your pet. I couldn't recommend this group more, they're amazing????????

Everyone who works at VCG is a saint. My fur baby, Kali, was diagnosed with lymphoma in 2019 and fought a long, hard battle against cancer with the help of Dr. Wiles and her staff. Because of the effort and expert care of the VCG team, Kali lived for 20 months, far longer than the average life expectancy of a lymphoma patient. I will forever be indebted to them for the genuine, personal, and heartfelt care Kali received. Everyone from the front office (Carrie, Alex) to the techs and assistants (Stephanie, Manny, Devon), and of course Dr. Wiles herself, are such amazing, compassionate, competent people. Chemotherapy is not an easy thing to go through, but seeing how relaxed Kali was as she was carried out by a tech at the end of every treatment really put my mind at ease. They even sent me videos and pictures of her having a fun time with staff in the back while she was waiting to be seen! I appreciate VCG so very much and would recommend them in an instant. Thank you, VCG, for being heroes every day, and taking such good care of our furry little loved ones.

I had a truly poor experience at this location. I went in for a new patient consultation since my cat recently had two tumors removed. I waited about an hour for the vet to call me which was no big deal especially during the pandemic, it's a pretty typical wait time. She told me about the possible line of treatment and diagnostic testing they would want to do. She said they probably wouldn't do any work today since my cat seemed to be upset and they didn't have the equipment to do an ultrasound so they didn't want to split it between multiple visits. I was told I would be called about an estimate shortly. I waited about 30 minutes and then called the office to see what was up since in my experience estimates usually don't take that long. The receptionist told me that they were short staffed and the wait is a bit longer. I should be receiving the estimate in an email and then someone would call to talk to me about it. Not that much of an issue, I understand a lot of places are short-staffed due to COVID. I received the estimate in my email and was waiting for a call to talk about the estimate. I waited for about 30 additional minutes and then tried calling but it went straight to voicemail. I tried calling two more times and went straight to voicemail both times. Almost two hours from the first phone call is when I finally received a call back. I was expecting to just pay the $181 consultation fee and have someone TALK to me about the estimate for the diagnostic work, like I was told the subject of the next phone call would be. Nope. She said I needed to pay $800+ dollars for work that they had done WITHOUT my approval, verbal or written. I couldn't pay it even if I wanted to. I didn't get paid until the next day and it's simply not in my budget for this month. Not to mention it's all work she had done about 3 months prior. I was absolutely shocked, I have NEVER experienced anything like it. It is so beyond unprofessional to perform medical work on a pet without the owners approval, regardless of how minimally invasive it is. I also was upset for having to wait almost 4 hours. My appointment was at 3:30 and they didn't call me to check out until 7PM, the last I had heard from them was around 5:20PM, almost 2 hours with zero communication as to what was going on. My first warning should have been when they told me my cat needed to be sedated. At her regular veterinarian she has had bloodwork done multiple times, x rays, and all sorts of physical exams with no issues. Last time the vet tech who brought her out even mentioned how sweet she was! Needless to say, both me and my cat had an exceptionally bad experience and we will not be returning. And I will not be paying for medical procedures that I never approved of being performed on MY cat. My cat was also left with a weird white kind of flaky substance on her head that looks like flaky skin but is really hard to get off of her fur. I have no idea what it is, nor have I ever seen anything like it after her getting previous bloodwork done. I've attached a picture. Not a huge deal just figured another thing to add to the issues with miscommunication this practice seems to have.

Poor Quality, Poor Value, Not Professional, Not Reliable and if you dont take the staffs abuse or humiliation, they threaten to kill your animal. I am sure the docs are great... ITS THEIR STAFF!!! I had to file a complaint with the medical board. RUN!!! GO to culver city location... not this one!

Our Monte just lost his battle with lymphoma today. Dr Wiles and the entire team were ALWAYS kind, knowledgeable, honest, responsive and compassionate throughout his illness. At each interaction, they made us feel like Monte was the most important pet there! Thank you VCG!

Because I wasn't able to say goodbye to my cat before he passed away!! And I can't get over that, let alone not be able to have time to think about whether I wanted to keep his ashes or not. It was horrible that day!! I don't know when I'll be able to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. I don't know. It'll always give me a reason. Yes this coming May will be his anniversary. I don't know what I'm going to do. I've been going to a pet shelter every weekend. Since. Last year. I'm kind of horrified. just like that day.

Everyone here is wonderful! Given that most people are taking their pets there for an unfortunate reason, it really helps that the people that work there are kind and sensitive. We had two doctors during our two years going there and they were both kind and very knowledgeable.

Dr. Wiles treated our dog Maggie for the last year of her life. We were told she probably had six months, and we got a whole beautiful year with her, thanks to Dr. Wiles and the rest of the team at VCG. Dr. Wiles was so understanding and sensitive as we all, together, worked to find a way to give Maggie as long as possible without impairing her quality of life. And as a bonus: our extremely vet-averse Maggie truly loved Dr. Wiles and every single person at VCG, and would wag her little tail as soon as she saw them. Thank you so much for all you did for our girl.

Went here for a second opinion on my Chowchows cancer. The doctor that assisted us was so compassionate and candid. She gave us our options and waited as we weighed them out. Thank you so much for helping us in our time of need.

Dr. Wiles is truly a blessing for dog owners that ever have to deal with a cancer striken animal. She practiced patience with every question and offered comfort in the darkest hour. Our Goldie suffered less and got to live his last days with ease and comfort. A big thank you to you and your staff for giving so much grace and compassion.

Very knowledgeable and caring staff and vets. I messed up on giving the meds to my dog, but no one chastised me or anything, they just helped me get back on the right track. My dog would no longer be with me if not for these wonderful people. I highly recommend the Veterinary Cancer Group to anyone who wants the best oncology treatment for their pet. These people really know what they are doing, and they really care about your pet!

It sucks to review a place like this, but they did everything they could for our fur baby. You absolutely will not find a better veterinary oncologist than Dr. Wiles. We looked, got second opinions, this is LA, there are options. Well, she is decidedly the best. All our love to Dr. Wiles, Tom, and Meghan.

Dr. Wiles was so helpful, and compassionate when we brought her our cat to look at. She's a wonderful human being, in addition to being a great doctor. There wasn't a lot she could do for Tyler's bladder cancer, but she answered our questions and returned our calls and went out of her way to be helpful. Annie and Charles Clark

I made an appt for the San Fernando Valley location. Someone made a mistake and scheduled us for Culver City. I offered to leave the Valley office and drive to Culver City, but they said they were too busy. They were not very nice about it at all. The receptionist in the Valley didn't even ask the vet if they could squeeze us in for a consult. They already had xrays from our referring vet. We are seeing another oncologist tomorrow.
