The Barkley Pet Hotel and Day Spa Westlake Village, California

We have our pet sulfate staying there. We wanted to give the place another shot. Since we are going away and we have nowhere else to go. It is only night 1 of his 4th unsatisfying stay there. Granted he is not a typical pet, but we ask the simplest things. We ask that he just stay warm and stay covered at night. The day before our trip, we will be looking for a different spot to try for the next time we go away. These people are great at telling you want you want to hear, but not caring about our pets (at least my pet). We pay so much money for him to be cared for and we don't get the support we need from them. This is not what we want from a company.

Clean. Friendly. My dog likes it there!

The staff is great (5 stars for them). The problem is they are expensive and close Sundays, which happens to be the day most people come back from a trip. Because of this you're required to board an extra day and since they are closed the dog camp isn't available. If you don't want your dog in a cell all day you'll need to buy an expensive play package. Odd how they have staff to do the play package but not for dog camp or to allow pick ups. They used to be open on Sundays but say they aren't able to staff now due to COVID. That excuse might have made sense months ago but not anymore. I think they found a new way to take profit. Kinda sucks if you ask me.

Great food! (I screwed up, I was tired and read this as Arby's. This place does not have great food. They however have a great pet boarding service, you should check it out!)

Our Bella recently stayed at The Barkley for Memorial Weekend and was there for 8 nights. She has never boarded anywhere before I felt so nervous and and bad about putting her in a kennel for so long. The Barkley was great and they had so many options for playtimes and ice creams and even do text message updates. I got different pictures and videos of how Bella was doing everyday and it really put me at ease and I could tell the workers gave our Bella lots of love!! We will book again this summer!!

Little Lucy loves the place. Though she's tiny, it doesn't stop her from socializing with other dogs and great care by the super friendly staff.

They were Outstanding took My Lil Penny for the first time and she came out Happy and Satisfied ????????????she already has her next appointment booked for her Paw Day

Gave best care for to my pups! They were boarded for 6 days and were in best shape and spirits when picked up. Both pup were happy to come home but missed leaving the Barkley and special care they received!!

I been taking my browny almost every month or so for grooming there and they are doing good

This place is great and the first place that I’ve felt comfortable and relaxed leaving my dogs at. They helped socialize my dog who hated other dogs and not sure what they did but within a couple of hours being there he was romping with the others. They gave us updates on how they were doing and how the staff loved them. Definitely the only place I’ll leave my dogs going forward. The staff is amazing and can’t be beat.

The employees seem to care for the pets to an extent that even overlooks the management's issues, which is one of the few reasons people like me will go back. Thank you for the workers and their tireless efforts.

These people are the kind of people you want taking care of your animal during a pandemic. They are compassionate and they explain everything to you, clearly...great caring people.

Actually I was at the VCA WESTLAKE VILLAGE ANIMAL HOSPITAL which is right next door. A tragic accident killed our family dog, a tiny chihuahua. The doctor did everything possible to see if the dog could be revived. Their understanding and compassion is unrivaled. They are amazing people.

Elaine, my mlni schnauzer's groomer, is amazing. She always takes great care of her and keeps me informed of her progress. The front desk is great/helpful. When she had stayed the night, I loved the fact that the day care had cameras so I could view how she was doing. I felt like I left her in good hands with a staff that cares.

We've been bringing our dog here for years. It's definitely not as nice as before. The old staff is all gone and the new staff doesn't quite know what they're doing. Even the dog is less excited about his stays.

I took my pup there for a quick bath... Everyone in the lobby loved him and we super sweet to him. He was finished early and came home squeaky clean.

Excellent Veterinary services, open late, great Doctors and staff.

Beware . This is a disgusting place & the crew do not care about the health & the well being of the poor animals, it is all about money as they keep the facade modern but when you go inside their back yard, it is infested with dog urine for days. Horrible sanitation.
