We brought our rescue senior dog here and everyone was professional and caring. Great service. Dr Wong is fabulous, consult/analysis on our dog's health and services very informative and helpful. We would definitely recommend this vet clinic. They did a great job for us. Thank you so much!

Dr. Wong is so caring and considerate. I appreciate the front desk staff as well, they are so kind. This clinic is a little bit out of the way for us but because Benji was taken care of so well - we'll be back!

Dr. Linda Wong is the best bet I've had. She's compassionate and thorough.

Amazing service. I needed my cat to get all her vaccines and this was the only animal hospital that could take her in within a day for a VERY reasonable price. Not only were they gentle with her, but got her out within 30 min. They also do follow up check ups to see how your baby is doing. This will be my go to animal hospital moving forward.

Dr Beam and the staff gracefully treated my feisty cat, something other vets have not been able to do due to his being a “difficult patient.”

It was our first time there. My cat fell and I needed to check if she had anything broken or wrong. The place is in ok condition, although, I expected it to be newer just because it’s in Walnut Creek Area. It smells right when you come in, I did not experience that in the last two vet clinics I used. It was super noisy when we were in the exam room, right outside the door there was a dog (or maybe even a couple of those) crying. What I mean by that is the dog was moving somewhere in the hallway, back and forth. Someone came in with a child who was screaming, I do not blame it on the clinic but I feel like there got to be some boundaries set. It’s an animal clinic with animals who already struggling and anxious. They do not need others to create more chaos and noise... For the clinic, pretty rude staff. The person to check me in confused my name (we had a first-time appointment) when asked me to fill out forms. Then the other technician (if she even was one) came up to me and asked what my cat’s breed was and I replied: “I do not know, I got her from the shelter.” The response was “Well can you guess? I need to put something in computer” in a pretty rude tone. I don’t know what her problem was but do not come to work if you can’t interact with people properly. Do I look like a breeder to guess cat’s breed that I got from the shelter? So I said “I don’t know. Tabby?” (which is totally not true), I was later corrected by another technician that she is domestic shorthair (which is whatever to me). Overall it was good of an experience for emergency (in my case) but I will never go back unless I will have no other options.

We took Lola to see Dr. Wong. She is so kind and careful with our cats. She explains things and is very concerned. I highly recommend her and YAH

My husband and I have 2 cats and 2 dogs and we have been going to YAH for 2 years since moving to Pleasant Hill. The location is clean and has ample parking. The exam rooms are spacious. One thing I appreciate is their precautionary measures: they kept our pets for a few hours’ observation, just to make sure everything was ok. The team here is caring and knowledgeable, and I completely trust their care for my pets! Dr. Wong and Dr. Beam truly care for our pets’ wellbeing.

I am originally from southern California but we were travelling in northern cali when my dog Mateo who fell sick while on vacation. I am very particular about who takes care of my dog and went to check out few different vets in the area. I came to Dr. Sandhu based on recommendations and I am just so glad that I found him. I really appreciated his honesty and his work ethic. It is hard to trust people and even doctors these days as it all seems a business just to make money but I appreciated Dr. Sandhu going over everything in details and explaining what was needed. I felt good after the visit because I felt like all my concerns were answered, My dog was doing much better. It was nice to go a place where they care about your pet and not just your money. I would highly recommend Dr. Sandhu and his team to anyone who is looking for a honest and ethical doctor. Mateo te da las gracias!!

i came to Ygnacio Animal Hospital right after i adopted my sweet dog Venom from the Martinez Shelter a little over 3 years ago from a list of Vets that offered free checkups. i have never had to look back. i cannot say enough positive things about them! i don't trust my Venom's health to anyone else. The Doctors there are fabulous-- knowledgeable and experienced, extremely caring and gentle in handling Venom- as is the staff. They take the time to listen and look into all my concerns and questions with patience and explain options and the science behind their recommendations. They do not rush through appointments, and getting an appointment right away has never been a problem. They are thorough without pushing unnecessary and expensive treatments or tests and respect your decisions. Their follow-up is stellar and whenever he's been hurt or sick they call to see how he's doing afterward- not to mention reminders for preventative and wellness issues. They may not be the cheapest- but they are affordable. And they detail everything so i can make my claims from my pet insurance. My Venom actually likes going to the Vet! Keep up the great job! ????????

The staff at YAH are great - welcoming, professional, helpful, and knowledgable. When our dog was there for his annual exam we learned he needed dental surgery. While we have been taking our pets to YAH for many years, Dr Wong was new to …

I have been here twice. The first time was years ago and the Dr., who is also the owner, was very nice, but the rooms were very dirty and I was not comfortable there. But since this is the closest place to home, I thought I would give them a second chance. The first red flag was while I was waiting for my appointment another customer remarked that there is always someone different working at the front desk and the person responded that they have high turnover. The second red flag was was the surprise extra $100 on the bill that I was not warned about ahead of time. The third insult was the voicemail I got about someone elses pet. Ultimately I had to call THREE times to get the results of my cat's tests. The last call was after I got a voicemail of a minute and a half of distorted music from their number. The final nail in the coffin was the doctor I spoke with who swears she called me back in the morning. Funny, when I called at 11:00 the receptionist told me she was not available and had my message to call back. The same doctor swears she called at 14:00. She mumbled and fumbled around for my information and had the gall to raise her voice to me when I called her out. There is no call on my phone log at the time. Does she not get how cell phones work? I emailed the music message with a request to speak to the owner. But after all this, I never go here again.

I've been taking my dog here for 9 months. First visit was to get her spayed, which was not a successful surgery. She went into heat 3 months later due to the vet not removing all of her reproductive organs. Despite the blood spots all over my floor, and the fact that she was trying to mate with every male dog she saw, they "weren't sure" so they charged me $329 for a blood test that eventually confirmed she still had some reproductive organs and was in fact in heat. It was no mystery to anyone with or without a medical background. They refunded the $329, but to even make me pay for it in the first place was beyond insulting, not to mention the week of waiting for the results while she ruined my carpet. More recently I made an appointment to get an international health certificate for travel to Mexico and was told it would be $55 for the visit. I found out during the visit that it would actually cost $205 total - $55 for the visit and $150 for the certificate, which is a PDF they print in the office, stamp and sign. $150 for that. Since I was leaving the next day, I really had no choice but to pay it. Any other vet charges under $100. Literally every visit has been an expensive and frustrating experience. I will never go back here.

The staff is very knowledgeable. Services are excellent and affordable. The vets remember everything about my dog even when the visits have been far between. Most importantly, they have suggested innovative long-term solutions and tips for my dog's medical issues that have helped me avoid additional vet visits. I have been to multiple vets for the same recurring issue, and not a single one has ever helped manage the problem long term. These people are awesome.

I recently relocated here from Seattle. I have found the Ygnacio Animal Hospital quite helpful since our arrival. They are friendly and responsive to our needs in a timely manner. I love that they are open 7 days a week. The doctors are kind and personally follow up with a phone call with any test results or questions we might have. I love this place !
