Tulare County Animal Shelter Visalia, California

We called about a stray dog that had 9 puppies, and made their home in our church yard. They made an appointment to meet us. Larry came out a few days ago set out a trap for the mama, and this morning picked her up and her babies. Larry and Paul did a great job making the mama and babies feel safe while capturing them. These guys were very professional and loving to the dogs. Great job TCAS. Orosi First Baptist thanks you for your compassion and hard work.

I have been looking up and down california for a shelter that has good customer service. Cared about their dogs that come in, and try their hardest no matter what. After trying for 3 months, I went to this place 2 times spaced out each time, they went above and beyond to make sure we were cared for and the animals. They know what they're doing and they love their jobs. Out of over 75 shelters I've looked at online and in person, this one is the best all around. Yes they are a county shelter. But Luke I said, they still try to go above and beyond, thank you to the workers for trying to make thelanimal works a better place

We picked up this little dog that my granddaughter watch a man through in the trash at our local park by our house. My wife took care of him for three days, because it was the weekend and he was very sick and puking blood. On Monday I brought him in and told them what happened and didn’t think that he would make it. My wife called and told them if the mans wife or kids didn’t call for him that we wanted to adopt him if he survived. He is now our precious little Curly! Best little dog we could have EVER OWNED!! Shame on the man that just threw him away!! Thank you Tulare county for saving his life!!

i had to take a little girl dog that was abandoned on my mom's street; turned out to be pregnant. if i didn't already have 3 pets of my own, i would've taken her but i couldn't. not even three hours after i dropped her off & i received a call saying she had already been taken to a foster home. i was surprised how fast that was & i was overjoyed that she'd be well taken care of. THANK YOU so very much to all who had a helping hand in taking care of her. God bless you all.

I called to remove a stray dog that had attacked my other dogs and after 5 hours and 4 phone calls didnt show up i called them since 11 am yesterday and had to force the dog to leave at 6:30 pm. They never showed up and I just wanted that dog to posably get a new home but no thanks to them poor dog couldnt.

They put down my dog dude I hate this place and only on the 4th day of being ther my kids and I cried so much knowing that we were only a couple hrs late they are murderers.........R.I.P KIA

When I went to go pick up my dog dam seems like in this place they don't feed the dogs nor give them water . My dog was hella skinnier and stinky they say it's care hah if it's going to be care make sure you guys take care of them feed them bath them not just have them locked up Dogs are meant to be out free not locked up .

I had a notice which was odd since I don't own any animals at all. I tried calling & they never answer the phone & when they finally did actually answer after a week of calling they to me I need to pay them to pick up someone else's dog that has been crying with no food or water for day's in there backyard. Then they told another neighbor next to us that I called & made the report, when I have a copy of a police report that was made by the owner of the property that clearly states they called due to the dog's breaking the frence on two side's of the property & barking none stop for a week & no one answers the front door. I can't believe my tax dollars goes to this kind of crappy ass place!

Cause we get our dogs back

This place is a God's gift to all animals and animal Lovers the personal who work there and their volunteers are.friendly very likeable.people. I never look anywhere else when I look for a new pet this place is a5+ stars in my opinion thanks to all of you who work or volunteer you all are Assume out there.YOUR DOING AGREATJOB!!!!

Valley ock is the best they have helped me and my dog coda d. So much wen we were homeless and I just wanted to say thanks to all their amazing staff love you guys keep up the amazing work guys

I had to pick up a dog to transport him to a rescue organization in Sacramento. Three of the staff came in on a Sunday morning to accommodate me. All were very friendly and very helpful. They'd been giving loving care to this great dog and made sure he was prepared for a drive of several hours. Note to staff: we made the trip just fine. However Toby had chewed through both restraints before Modesto! We managed, just meant I couldn't take a break -- was afraid he'g get out when I tried to get out/in the car. Toby is a wonderful dog, thanks for your loving care of him. Charlotte

Barking dog every morning! Office not open! No place to leave a message! When we called we were told they couldn't help unless the dog was still barking. Because it stops barking before 10 a.m., the animal control people are not willing to help. They need a message board where complaints can be left. We hesitate to call the police department because it is not a dangerous situation. The constant barking makes sleeping impossible!
