Was referred here by my vet in Newbury Park after my Corgi's lameness wasn't improving. Dr. Campbell did the surgery and was extremely knowledgeable in his craft. CT scans showed an incongruity and what turned out to be bone fragments in my dog's front leg joints. They are still observing COVID protocols and do not allow people into their practice; you call and they come out to collect your pup. Kimberly was amazing in our phone call interactions as well as the rest of the staff I dealt with. Waffles was a hit with everyone and it made me feel good to bring my boy there for his procedure. He's now healing at home and I'll be returning again on the 27th to have his staples removed and joints examined. I didn't seek a second opinion but it was a relief to be informed by two well-respected veterinarians that VetSurg IS the second opinion. Their reputation precedes them. I tried calling a couple places in LA and it was a nightmare. Thank you everyone at VetSurg for making this process easier.

They gave us all the information we needed concerning our Mia. She will need surgery and we have chosen Vetsurg to take care of the problem. They were very informative, kind and thorough with what we asked for. We trust that our Mia will be in good hands with them.

My Italian Greyhound broke his front leg in April and since I was in Ventura, at the time, I ended up taking him to an Emergency Vet there. I returned home to Los Angeles only to be told the soonest surgery consult appointment, for many LA surgeons, was 3 weeks away. I couldnt believe it. I called Ventura emergency back and they recommended Dr. Holsworth at Vet Surg. I called and they said I could bring him in the next day, so I drove out to Ventura for my dog to have surgery. This ended up being the best thing that could happen to my dog. Despite the drive, it was so worth the level of treatment my dog received. Dr. Holsworth is really the best surgeon you could get for your pet and the support staff is amazing. I recommend him to anyone looking for a veterinary surgeon (even if outside of Ventura county).

Our 100 pound lab tore his ACL. Dr. Hollingsworth and team are the best. We drive 150 miles round trip, worth every mile.

Front desk was rude and showed no compassion or empathy, Kim gave me the worst experience laughed at me because I couldn't pronounce a bone correctly by farther the worse experience I've encounter with a front desk receptionist.

Dr. Ian Holsworth is one of the best board certified surgeons in all of the Los Angeles / Ventura California area. For innovation, the latest methods, and a creative surgical team that solves problems quickly, this is the guy you want.

My puppy got injured and our vet recommended Vet Surg. We had a wonderful experience with their whole team. I could not be happier with our experience, our puppy's healing process, and reliability of their team. If we have any issues in the future I would not have any hesitation to go back there. Kimberly and Dr. Holsworth.

Our German Shepherd needed major surgery and we were referred here by her regular vet. The staff and Dr. Campbell were not only very professional, but compassionate with both us humans, and our pup. They guided us the whole way through the process, from surgery to recovery. If any concerns came up, they were always very responsive. Surgery is never easy, in all aspects, but VetSurg made this experience as tolerable as possible.

Steer clear it's all about the money yes it's a business but it's not as it seems they push Campbell's publicity but I'm the type of a person when it comes to my family member ( pet) that actions speak louder than words seems to me that all training centers turn out this way Horizon is also Affiliated to these guys this is why you're told while you're waiting if an emergency happens take them to Horizons this is truly a vicious cycle for our poor loved ones also some of the male staff become argumentative after this place gets paid insult to injury good luck to you and yours just a kind of warning

The one thing I'll never forget is the fact I was given false hope. After surgery and other tests I was assured my dog would be ok. This was the best news to me I remember even crying because I was so happy. Then a few weeks go by and I'm back where I was. I understood that in our situation there wasn't a way to know 100%. The fact that the doctor gave me hope when in reality there wasn't any, is what breaks my heart.

Baxter broke his ulnar and toes. The surgery was successful and the post operative follow-up/communication was exceptional. I followed the recommendation to give supplements to aid in the healing process. I also added cheese which is high in calcium and protein and sadines and salmon which is high in the omega 3 fatty acids to Baxter's diet.

Surgery on my dog went ok, but at out first follow up appointment to get her staples removed, they didn't take out allall staples, which we paid a ridiculous amount for. When I called the office I was pretty much told it wasn't a big deal and to take her to another vet where I'll be charged for something I already paid for. The staff just didn't seem to care which is mind boggling considering what we had to pay.

Dr Holsworth and crew are the best. He is a world class surgeon( teaches procedures internationally) and his love of dogs shines through in his sunny demeanor with them. He has done 2 TPLO’s on our boy and they healed perfectly. He is an asset to Ventura’s animal community.
