Thought my dog has gotten exposed to gopher poison. I called East Ventura Animal Hospital, and my dog was seen promptly. Thankfully all turned out well.

I've switched all of my pets over to this hospital. The staff is extremely efficient, kind, and professional. Dr. Lopez has been wonderful with all of my pets, very compassionate, knowledgeable and willing to come up with individual plans based on each animal's specific needs. I floated around trying to find a vet and I'm so happy that I finally found one that I trust and feel very comfortable with!

My dog is a 'nervous Nancy' but here they take their time with her, made her feel comfortable & work with her. They take such good care of her I won't go anywhere else because I trust them & I appreciate them so much. I just recently had to take my dog for ear infection & broken tooth. They explained everything & showed me how to clean out her ears. They ended up having to pull her tooth $$$ but you get what you pay for. Great quality work, caring & understanding people. The whole staff is amazing. I like their online booking appointments, nice & easy. I also like their renewal prescription for tick & flea medicine, they ship it straight to my door. During covid they even figured out how to efficiently help everyone get their appointments. You pull up, call them from your car, they come to your car & get your pet. Super convenient & fast.

Great staff and easy to talk to.

THE ONLY emergency vet who took in my sweet rabbit . Every other in Ventura refused or seemed unsure of taking "exotics" . I was in disbelief when I called several in Ventura to be denied even by my usual vet. They updated me as soon as she got to the doctor! She didn't make it she was very ill but they really tried for her and that was what we NEEDED so desperately. So thankyou to this team . I will take my others animals no where else now that I know this place actually cares and gives amazing service .

Although I miss being able to call and get a same day appointment when a problem arises with my dog, so far being put on a cancellation waiting list has gotten me assistance on 2-3 occasions. Once you can get in to see the Drs, the care is always exceptional and they take the time to listen. Since we live with our animals and know them best, I like that they listen to my concerns.

We've been bringing our pets here for the last 30+ years, and they've always been so amazing and care deeply about our fur babies. Dr. Pelayo sees my Blue Heeler, Scout, every year and she is so good to her. Dr. Bloedel also recently helped my elderly cat, Gus-Gus, who needed to have some serious dental work. He has since recovered beautifully and is feeling so much better! I also want to thank the staff, who are always courteous and work hard to get our pets the care they need. Your service is very much appreciated!

I have taken my dog here for over a year now and I love this place. The Drs are very patient and I never felt rushed through any visit. They have a great Paw Plan program that fits to your dogs needs that kind of acts like a pet insurance. Sometimes this place can get booked pretty far out so plan ahead!

My family has been coming here for a combined 23 years. While things have changed due to Covid, our faith in Dr Lopez and Dr Fowell hasn’t wavered. They are VERY excellent Vets who show great care and patience with our pets. We look forward to the day when both my wife and I can come into the office and not have one of us wait in the car (Covid safety but best for us all). We also find that Brandon at the front desk is an incredibly caring individual who cares not only for the pets but the clients as well. The paw plan is a good way to budget yourself, and a good value so you do not feel financially pressured to delay an office visit.

My fur baby had to have surgery here and I was a nervous wreck but the staff here was great! I have had to call the office several times with questions about the procedure and Ruby's aftercare, and the staff has been absolutely wonderful! They have treated me as if no question was a dumb question and have taken the time to really ease all of my fears and worrys. I am very happy with both the Dr Lopez and the staff here! Keep up the good work!

The veterinarian is great they keep you informed of your fur baby and give you estimates of how much it will cost. Due to the current covid time you have to wait outside, once you arrive you call up the office and they assist you from there. A associate will then take your animal in for its visit and depending what you drop them off for the vet will call you while you wait in the parking lot or have you go home and call you. Same as when you pick up your animal you call when arriving the vet will give you info about the visit then an associate will come out to take your payment if you don't do it over the phone. They do a very well job during these times and I recommend this place to anyone who needs to take their animal to the vet.

Dr. Lopez and the staff at this animal hospital are very knowledgeable and efficient and truly care about my dogs. Not only that, but the fee schedule is fair and affordable. I highly recommend this veterinary practice!

Quality, compassionate health care for my dogs.

The staff is courteous and so patient with my dog who was enduring an ear infection. Staff took great care in finding the problem and with the treatment, and sent us home with a goody bag and request for followup check up. There is ample parking here in the plaza and handicap accessible parking, with plenty of landscape in the event my pet needed to relieve himself. The phones were busy at time of check in, as we are to call when we are in the parking lot. The staff comes put to the car for check in and bring us and our pet inside. The staff also does check out and payment at our car. This is for COVID precautions.

I am very happy & grateful for this hospital. I drive all the way from Santa Barbara because they are not only there most affordable but the most professional & caring & they work with us. I’m appreciate the whole staff a lot, & I think Dr. Fowell is the best doctor/surgeon ever. She removed a mass from my pet rat Faithie, & Faithie is recovering very well. It’s nice to have a veterinarian that cares about our ratties & treats them gently & knows what she is doing. Thank you Dr. Fowell! ????

Were able to accommodate my very challenging dog with aplomb.

Dr. Lauren was very informative and we started with the least costly remedy first. My cat is improving. I highly recommend East Ventura Animal Hosp.

Dr. Fowell Is my go to veterinarian. She has so much experience especially with rabbits. She is so kind and sweet and she takes her time explaining everything. I can’t say enough good things about her.

We ended up with a rabbit that was left on the side of the road in a small cage. He is only 5 months old and needed to be neutered. We brought him here snd we’re treated so well. Loki is doing great! The best price as well. We look forward to Dr. Fowell being our bunny doctor for the future.

Dr. Lopez was great with Finn, and she was very informative and patient.

They are one of the few vets I have found in Ventura that sees rabbits ???? and that I feel I can trust. I think the cost is reasonable too.

Brandon was extremely personable and made scheduling an appointment for my new pup flawlessly easy. I’m looking forward to my first visit to this new vet because of him!

Staff is genuinely concerned about the well-being of animals in their care. Realistic approach to care balances a number of factors related to animal health and quality of life. They ARE NOT trying to upsell expensive services and procedures like large chain store vets.

I so appreciate Dr. Fowell’s wisdom, knowledge, experience, compassion and demeanor. Support staff is equally fantastic.

I’m very pleased any time I need to take my fur baby to this office. The doctors are caring and gentle with their care. They answer all my questions or any concerns I may have in a thorough manner. The office staff is friendly and professional. Always a good experience.
