Dr. Martinez has been treating Max for a very stubborn fungal infection on his back and leg and has been exceptionally thorough and unrelenting in seeking and finding the cause and cure for it. He has a great bedside manner with his patients and is very gentle in handling and examining them.

I have been with Buena Vet for 15 years. I have had old dogs that passed and new puppies that needed all their shots and chips. They are all always so friendly and dog comfortable. The vets are knowledgeable and remember past medical history on each dog.

Absolutely, and I ain't kidding, the VERY BEST IN VETERINARY MEDICINE!!! ANOTHER "Veterinary Clinic" around the corner on Telephone Road next to Napa Auto Parts killed our previous doggie, Champ. Be advised that "clinic" is NOT an "Emergency" clinic! Go to Buena Vet if you need a very good doctor for your pet and rest assured your pet is in safe hands.

I’m so impressed with Buena Vet! I receive appointments quickly by very courteous staff. I am most impressed with the veterinarians. I have experienced different vets and all of them are great. They have helped me each time. They have diagnosed, explained and treated my sweet standard poodle ! I have many questions and I never feel rushed or dismissed . I feel so lucky to have found Buena Vet!

I was happy to get on their cancelation list so my dog was seen later that day. Being charged $36 for service when my usual vet charges 18 was outrageous. 2x the cost for same service.

We had the best experience at Buena Vet! This vet came recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed. They got us in the next day with Dr. Heikes (super nice and knowledgeable) and the office staff was great. So glad we found a vet that will be a place we keep going back to.

I have been bringing my dog here her whole life 12 years! They will not see my dog that is not well, just say go to Emergency. It may not be one but they can't see my dog for a week! Ridiculous just demonstrates that they don't create about customer loyalty. They also most likely have commended a surgery that was 5K that was not necessary. Pay attention to all the upsetting. You lost me and I hope this review helps people to make decisions to find a better place. Check to see longeattenured vet????

Buena Vet has consistently gone above and beyond for my dog and me. The staff is friendly and the doctors are amazing. When I first took my dog, Zero there, one of the techs came out to make friends with Zero. She gave him pets and some love before taking him back, and he went in willingly. That was huge for Zero because he was terrified to go into the clinic at our previous vet. Zero has allergies and chronic ear problems. With the help of Buena Vet, Zero has gone the longest he’s ever gone without itching or ear problems. Doctor Lefevre made me feel heard, and the way she treated Zero made me feel like she really does love and care about her patients and their owners. And somehow, they proscribed more medicine/shampoo/ear cleaner for Zero and it’s somehow cheaper than the previous vet we went to. How does that work??? I’m not sure, but I know I can trust this clinic. I continue to be impressed by Buena Vet and I’m truly grateful for their help. I will continue taking Zero to Buena Vet as long as we live in Ventura!

Our family has been taking Abby Moran to Dr. Martinez since the fall of 2020 and we are so happy with his expertise and loving care of our baby girl. We have great praise for Dr. Martinez, his assistants and those who run the office.

Our visit was wonderful! Every employee we interacted with was so friendly and caring. I felt with 100% certainty that my cats were in good hands. Sara even went out of her way to get records from our previous vet when they were being difficult and Cindy (I think that was her name) was so patient and kind and I really enjoyed chatting with her and Dr. Heikes. Will be back and will recommend Buena Vet to all my friends with fur babies.

Very caring and compassionate care for my Senior Pup!

Buena has been our furry family vet for over ten years.. from cats to foster pups and now our service dog! Covid a lack of activity had taken a toll on our pup and he wasn’t himself back in January. The vets picked up on crystals in his urine and found he was having small stones! Wala a round of meds and he was right as rain..they even called me every few days to check in on him! So thoughtful! then flash to this month - we went to a dog park to meet up with some fellow pups and he caught kennel cough. The level of care professionalism and quarantining was that of a human ER! They made sure got care and didn’t affect other patients ???? once again we are headed home with meds and a follow on vaccination appointment to ensure we can still meet our friends without worry ????

We switched to Buena Vet after our other vet never seemed to be able to see us when we needed them. Dr. Heikes has been so helpful, patient, knowledgable, and loving with our big dog, and his staff is wonderful, too. I love that they call to follow up and see how our dog is doing after any illnesses. Highly recommend!

Best veterinarians I have ever had, Dr. Heikes and Dr. LaFevre are wonderful and treat my cats with such care. They always take such good care of them when I bring them in for a check-up and are very knowledgeable. They take time to answer any questions I have, and are very respectful of my pets and their health. Most cats don't like the vet but mine can't wait to walk in their doors! Thank you both for a wonderful job, and thank you for the care you have given my cats!

They really care about my pets. Having an pet is a big responsibility and not cheap. I’ve tried to ‘save money’ and try other vets in the area. To find out, Buena Vet is high quality at a reasonable price. I should have never tried other places. They all have a deep love and concern for all animals. So glad they are a part of our community.
