I was in line since 5 a.m. and was passed up by numerous people who were never even waiting in the morning pre-open line. I had to bring it to their attention. My Corgi mix had symptoms of a broken leg and it was obvious because his paw stuck out sideways. They don't offer any payment assistance nor, do they ask for proof of low income. They vet recommended to just get pain meds and to come back if there's still an issue. $250!!! Nobody waiting in line for hours for vet care because of having low income, has $250+ just sitting at home! And of course, my dogs paw is still broken! I cannot afford to either go back, which I never would, or to get vet care somewhere else. I knew his recommendation sucked but, he threw in, "if it were my dog". Price's are no different than average vet. Save your whole day and go somewhere else!

They prescribed medication at the wrong dosage for my cat - called me the next day to tell me they’d made the mistake after he had already started to take it. Not really into reviewing places, but was researching vets after my recent move and was reminded of how icky this experience was. I think it’s important to pass this on - maybe it’s a fluke, but seems like the kind of fluke I would rather have on my car or my latte, not my cat. Wouldn’t go back.

Took my dog as a new client when everyone else was not taking in new clients since the pandemic hit. Very thorough and convenient.

We arrived for check for insurance, they made 3 shots and said it's too late, next time they said it's too early and reschedule our appointment, next time I had to explain everything from scratch. They didn't give any papers until I asked it by email.

Great staff, great vet! They checked up on a day later ro hear if the meds were working. Due to covid I didn't meet the vet in person but she called and took. Her. Time. Really listened. Answered all my questions. Send me an email with additional information. I trust them 100% with our cute pup

Expensive and the Vets here are inexperienced at giving correct treatments/diagnoses

I absolutely love Dr. Heim!! She took her time examining my dog to figure out what was wrong with him and even called us at home to check up on him to see how he was doing.

I know this is la and parking is bad, but I arrived 5 mins before my appointment and there was 0 parking. I ended up moving 3 different times, then finally called them and they didn’t answer. I waited on hold 7 mins before I hung up and tried again. I had to call 2 more times just to check in. At that point she wanted to put me on hold again. That being said the vets are nice. But I question their diagnosis. They wanted my 12 year old dog to get surgery, but while waiting to get a appointment his leg healed on it’s own. They also never called me back with results of his X-rays. I know people are busy but it gets frustrating.

In beginning they were friendly and attentive. Got my lil pup checked out and up-to-date on vaccines. Guess I will blame it on COVID and Holiday season why I could not get the monthly maintenance rx for my dog. Called, 3 times, Lvm and went personally and my presence was never acknowledged. I wanted 1 mo supply of Simparica trio but maybe I should have gotten a larger quantity and that would have been enough cash for a response according to other reviews on here?????? I am a senior and too much work for Me , so off to find another vet????. Shame, never got to meet vet in person during these no contact COVID guidelines.

Right now they have curbside drop off and pick up. Made an appointment and showed up. They asked you which number parking space you're in. They quickly came to get my pet. Only took about 15 minutes and the visit was done. They will email you a link you can pay while waiting. Will come back

My little pup had surgery yesterday and things could not have gone better. The follow up care, the instructions - we thank you BEST FRIENDS for your wonderful care.

These were my moms girls, Thelma and Louise. Best friends took care of them till they crossed that rainbow bridge at almost 20 years old. They were so kind to my mom about handling their remains.

I take both my wild dogs (Shih-tzu's) to Erica Hiem. She has resolved issues other vets never addressed before. She is medical genius!!! My only gripe is that quality care here costs a bundle, but seeing my dogs eye, skin & allergy issues disappear after years of hearing other vets say they were chronic conditions, makes the sacrifice worth it!

I've been taking my 14-year old kittercat to Best Friends for about a year, when I took her in for a regular check-up and discovered she has hyperthyroidism. My cat is a monster at the vet and extremely difficult to treat thanks to her hissing and spitting but Dr Hange - well, all the doctors - and staff are all very patient and understanding. Of course, it helps that they have me drug her up a bit so they can get the bloodwork. Still, they are kind and compassionate and always fully explain test results and options and answer all my paranoid furbaby mom questions.

I am really thankful for best friends animal hospital! I am a first time dog mom & have a 6 month puppy Theo... All the vets are understanding & compassionate when I’m talking with them on the phone. I never feel rushed with them & I feel they are truly listening and caring about each situation with theo that arises. They don’t run tests just to run them, or make any unnecessary moves which I really appreciate. They are honest good people who can tell how much I love my dog!! The whole staff gives so much love to my pup, they make me & him feel safe and at home. I’m really happy to have found what will be a long time vet for Theo!

They have a good team that listens and cares. I've been going here for years - for both wellness care and emergencies. It can be hard to find someone you trust with your pets, but when I come here I feel that they're in good hands.

I've been going to Best Friends for over 20 years. It has gone through different ownership, and it is in the best hands so far. An all-female vet staff, the BFAH are empathetic, responsible and honest. Dr Erica Heim is the medical director and has been my dog's vet for years. She helped him through immune disorders and skin issues with warmth and professionalism.

Today was my first time visiting Best Friends Animal Hospital and I'm so happy I made the choice to bring my cat in to see them. Dr Noda spent so much time talking to me which helped ease a lot of my worry. They gave me a quote of potential procedures, with low and higher prices depending on what they may need to do which was very helpful. Definitely plan on taking my boy back to them for his next procedures.
