Alta Pet Center Upland, California

Been taking my 2 year old labor doodle Willow there for almost a year and have been satisfied. However, had to take her to the vet today as her ears have been bothering her. Found out that the groomer was not cleaning her ears for at least 6 months. I bring her in every 5 to 6 weeks. The vet said she had hair and gunk all the way down into her ear canals. Also mentioned her ears smelled like stinky socks. The vet was so mad that you pay good money and they don't do their jobs. I suggest not going there unless you want a $200 vet bill.

They make sure your pet is comfortable while being groomed. .They quote an estimate prior to serving your pets needs. The charge reasonable and fair prices for all there services . We have had all our Perisan cats groomed there every 3 months over the years. We have always been delighted with the spectacular results. You will be totally and completely satisfied. Bob G

They're great folks and the grooming of our dog is extremely predictable and she is super happy every time she is groomed. :) However you need to make an appointment ahead because they are very busy these days.

They are very busy. They may not always be the nicest to people to people, but this is the only place my dog seems fine with getting grooming at. They obviously treat her very well, and the price is very reasonable for the work.

I groom my Yorkie-poo here with Doña! She is Amazing and im a super picky dog mom.

We brought our dog Fiona here for quite a few years , including through her cancer diagnosis. The staff is always kind and and excellent with our fur baby , even through her sickness. We lost Fiona recently . My mom called to tell the staff, but ,they took the extra step and sent a sympathy card to our home for Fiona. You can tell they really care bout what they do and our pets. if I do get a new dog I will continue to frequent their center and will recommend to friends. Thank you.

Awesome experience. You guys exceeded expectations both time with BENJI ..You must give this place a shot. We have been here twice already and continue to bring him every 4 weeks. I'm very particular on who does my dog. How he comes out. And customer service . And they exceeded it all. We thank you guys so much. From the 2 gals up front who have helped and to the 2 owners. The husband and wife do a phenomenal job. Thank you to everyone at the facility.

Nicely groomed my male Rag Doll the first time. I don’t know what happened the second time but he was traumatized. He hid under a chair for a day and the other cats spit and hissed at him for two. Rag Dolls are easy going so you know that something serious must have happened for him to hide.

We LOVE this place!! We have taken three dogs here and continue to drive 40+ minutes to continue to take our dog here (sadly, two have passed away). We have an Aussie and they do such an amazing job on him! Highly recommend!!

i have been bringing my dogs to Alta Grooming for approximately 15 years. They are knowledgeable and professional regarding my dogs and how to take care of them. Plus my dogs look fabulous after the day at Alta. A big t h ank you to Shirley and the entire staff. Keep up the. Great work.

Consumer Warning! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS TO ALTA GROOMERS! I have gone there 4 times, and two of those times have been disasters. First time, great. Second time, dropped the dog off at 9am, went to get her at 4 pm, and had to wait another hour before she was done. 7 hours to groom a dog. Shirley, the manager said her groomer had poor time management skills. She offered a free cut. I decided to pay for it, in cash to the girl behind the counter. (It was never rung through the register). This time, asked for an all over including face #3 cut. I told the receptionist exactly what I wanted. Picked her up, and it was not the cut I requested but the one before. When I talked to her about this, she said I was not explicit?!? enough. I was speechless. I got the dog home, started looking her over: hacked hair, totally uneven cut, ragged nails, her face was not washed. I seriously do a better job with my beard clippers on her in the sink. I called Shirley back and wanted my money back. She would only redo the dog. I was even considering that until she called me a liar about paying before. Her employee obviously pocketed the cash, and never rang it through. I have a witness who was with me that saw me give her the cash. If you want a headache, this is the place to go.

Our chocolate lab, Della, can be quite a handful at 7 months old. Not so after a day at Day Care with Alta! We have taken her twice now and this normally rambunctious, hyper dog is so tired that she can barely keep her eyes open on the way home. SUCCESS!!!! Thank you, Alta Staff, for such a nice experience and for absolutely exhausting this otherwise never-ending brown ball of energy!

I feel very comfortable having both of my dogs groomed here. My golden retriever puppy also stays at their daycare on many days when I have to work. The prices are reasonable and she just loves playing with the other dogs there. The owners and staff are clearly dog lovers.
