We've been taking our pets to Caring Hands Veterinary Hospital for over two decades. We've had great experiences with our pets there. The doctors take a personal interest in the animal they are treating. We trust them.

We have been taking our dogs to Caring Hands for over 15 years. We have always received the best and most compassionate care for our dogs. Dr Betty is amazing and everyone on the staff is gentle and loving. I would not take my babies anywhere else and recommend them all the time!

I have been taking my dog here for years. Everyone is very nice and helpful. They take very good care of him. And he is not scared to go into the office.

I usually have nothing but excellent support for Dr Betty who has treated my 7 dogs over the past years I have been a loyal customer until today. I am in full support of the limited hours due to COVID but when I call and make arrangements to drop off my dog via phone call at 8am. For her to be seen between surgeries, and to drop her off at 12 noon. Was told would receive a call back by the doctor. When I came to do this was turned away, as I was working and if told ahead of time to make arrangements. And the doctors instructions were not being accepted. As a LONG time customer this is disheartening as then was told to call back daily for cancellations. Really where is the customer service, why am I not getting a return call like in the past. Have been forced to seek another Vet

Dr Koss and his team are exceptional. The care and service that they provide as well as not doing un-needed tests is wonderful.

I highly recommend this vet!! Our dog was very ill and close to death, Dr. Koss saved our dog! The staff was amazing, this is the only vet I trust with my animals. They are honest, caring, and compassionate!!!!

I took my dog in to get updated on his vaccines and they had a clinic from 8am-12pm for vaccines so the price was extremely reasonable. The staff were all very caring and friendly, they were so gentle that my dog didn't even notice he was getting shots, and they were also able to recommend a groomer who has great reviews. I could definitely see myself coming back here.

Our dog, a Pomeranian was very sick with shaking and panting in response to a medication that this doctor has prescribed to her few days ago. My Wife was up all night monitoring the dog. She called the Clinic early morning asking to speak to the Doctor, they said he is busy and just bring the dog to the clinic to be seen by him. I took her to the doctor and dropped her off, ( since she could not drive she had a cast on her right injured foot). After more than an hour I returned back to check on my wife to see if everything is OK and find out that my wife still waiting to be called. I asked his staff if she would be seeing soon and the staff reply was I don’t know we are booked today & we will try to fit her in when we can. I immediately went online to find another clinic close by and brought the dog there where they took us in immediately. My wife has given this clinic thousands of dollars over the past year. This establishment has been very unprofessional and my wife didn’t deserve this kind of treatment from them.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR BELOVED PET TO THIS VET CLINIC. They absolutely over charge for services not rendered and worst of all they gave us FAKE Amoxicillin! I will be filing a complaint with the veterinary board and the better business bureau!

I would absolutely recommend this place. The staff, especially Rosanna, are caring and welcoming; even when it's really busy they always have time for you. Dr Betty looks after our two boxers, i have so much confidence in her; she common sensey and does what's right for the animal. Five stars all the way.

Dr. Koss, Thank you for your absolute wonderful and professional care of our dog Lucy. Diagnoses are explained in understandable terms and questions are welcomed. Your follow-up calls are appreciated. Your office staff are well trained and pleasant. I highly recommend your office and services.

We’ve been taking our Shiba Inu, Dion, to this facility since late 2010. Dr. Koss has been seeing her since then and we have experienced excellent service from him and his staff. Just this September, Labor Day weekend, our fifteen-year old Shiba suffered either a minor stroke or had Vestibular Syndrome. It was an extremely scary experience. We first took her to the VSEC - Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in Thousand Oaks (will review this facility separately but they were pretty good) as Caring Hands Vet Hospital wasn’t open on Labor Day. The attending Vet diagnosed her as having Vestibular Syndrome and prescribed an anti-nausea medication. VSEC forwarded their results of the examination to Caring Hands and we got a phone call from Dr. Marilyn Studnicka the next day (Tues) asking us how Dion was doing. We gave her a summary of her condition and symptoms and she suggested (we would have anyway) come in Thursday for a follow-up examination. Dion was still quite disoriented (dizzy) and uncoordinated (couldn’t stand and when she could, she staggered like a drunken sailor with the worst hangover ever). They examined her and took blood and urine samples. They prescribed another medication for both the nausea and dizziness (which worked quite well). Based on her condition and symptoms Dr. Koss stated that Dion could have also suffered from either a mini-stroke or maybe even had a brain tumor (cancer). However, without an MRI it was impossible to know for sure. He gave her a steroid injection, which had a positive effect on her condition several hours later. To make this narrative shorter they discovered issues with her liver and bladder for which they prescribed additional medications a couple days later after getting the lab results. We revisited the office seeing either Dr. Koss or Dr. Studnicka several times during the course of Dion’s illness. In every case they treated Dion with care and discussed carefully their diagnosis and suggestions for treatments and care at home. The staff was likewise very friendly and competent. Dion hates (really, really hates) going to the Vet, but the staff treated her well especially when we had to leave her for nearly a whole day for them to perform the ultrasound and biopsy of her liver. On her last visit in late October we again had blood work done to see if her urinary infection was gone. We decided to leave her there for a medicated bath as she suffers from a rash on her abdomen. We had never done one before, but we were very pleased with the results and now five weeks later her rash is nearly gone. We plan to have another one done when we bring her back for another check-up. The total cost of her treatments wasn’t inexpensive, but we found the services reasonable especially compared to what we had been charged at another veterinary office. Dion is much better now. Unfortunately, she still walks with a stagger, which likely will never go away, but she is alert and tries to do everything she did before. We are thankful Dion was her for another Thanksgiving and have nothing but praise and appreciation for the doctors and staff of Caring Hands and we have no reservations about recommending them to friends and neighbors when asked.

Dr. Betty and Dr. Ron, along with all of the staff are the best Veterinary group i have ever had the pleasure of working with.. I have 2 doggies who love to go to the Vets' office! That tells me a lot about their care and treatment of my doggies when i am not there!! I like the management of appointments and the smooth operations of the visits when we have to go. I just had the experience of stitches in one of the dogs face for running into an aluminum corner. The entire experience was so easy and painless. He is all fixed up and ready to do something ridiculous again. As i am sure he very well may. I do know i would not hesitate to recommend them for anytime regular visits or special pet problem moments! Care is excellent,, As for pricing and time frames i will let you decide! I would say EXCELLENT on all points!! I just love going to them for the past several years! I truly appreciate them all!!

Our family has been taking our 3 dogs to Caring Hands for the past 10 years. They have been very helpful and kind to our animals. Just like their name says it is so true. Dr. Koss will call you and follow up to see how our animals are doing after a procedure. I won't of any where else.

Dr Koss and staff have been outstanding in their treatment of my adopted dog. He was referred to me by Tiny Loving Canines rescue shelter, he takes care of their rescues and thought since he already had treated my dog, I should continue. He performed major surgery, dental cleaning and treated a bite wound. They were able to see my dog on short notice-emergency- The staff and Dr were very empathetic and caring to both human and pet. The waiting room was clean and comfortable. Extra leash was provided in case you didn't bring your own. We were helped promptly with minimal waiting time. Even though I have to drive 40 miles to see the Vet, I prefer him to vets closer to my home.

Moved to the area recently and my boyfriend brought in our lab to have some shots and a check up. When we walked in the staff gave us dirty look and the place smelled like poop. At least get an air freshener. Anyways we continue to go through the exam and I wont mention the doctors name but they barely looked at us in the eyes and didn't even know our dogs name when he walked in and kept calling him something else. Little did they know I was vet tech for 15 years and know how this stuff goes. They then continued to order many unnecessary tests that I know he didn't need but tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because I am not a doctor. Anyways long story short we over paid and the staff and doctors were not nice at all. If you need food or inventory here it seems fine but DO NOT trust the doctors.
