We got married in October in Temecula and chose Melinda to help with our dog Lucas during our wedding. I can not express how amazing and helpful she was! Being an out of town bride, I was a little stressed and nervous on who to reach out to for pet services (especially since this was our first pet sitting experience) so when I did my search I was instantly impressed by all of her positive reviews. We had a couple of phone calls beforehand and she sent us some of her client reviews which made us feel confident we were choosing the right person! We set up a meeting when we got to town so she could meet Lucas beforehand. She was super organized and detailed in getting the information she needed about him, and although things were a little hectic around us, she made sure she took her time. She even asked what kind of attire she should wear during our wedding, which was really nice of her! Lucas warmed up to her in no time! We ended up booking Melinda last minute during our rehearsal day so Lucas could get more familiar with her before the wedding. She had various clients that day but was able to still fit us in to watch him for an hour or so, we definitely appreciated that!???? The day of the wedding was smooth sailing! She helped guide our dog during our wedding photos and ceremony and later took him to pet sit him the remainder of the night. She made sure to send us progress photos and videos of him as well. My husband and I are so happy we chose her! She truly went ABOVE & BEYOND and Lucas really took a liking to her so who can ask for more! ????She even mailed us a little gift after our wedding which was incredibly sweet! I highly recommend her to anyone considering pet services!!

Melinda took care of our Cat for 4 days while in Vegas and we couldn't have been more pleased. Very caring and professional. Will use again and highly recommend!!

We have had a few pet sitters over the years, they either decide not to drive so far or will set up a date and cancel the last minute leaving us struggling to find someone for our 3 goldens. We hit the jackpot with Melinda. She came over, completed forms about each of the dogs, came prior to our vacation to meet them again and if any changes. I was so happy to get updates 3 times a day from her, plus pictures so that we could see how happy they were even though we were gone. Think they were sad when we came back. I have used Melinda now on 2 different occasions, cannot say enough good things about her - has even sent cards as a thank you with their pictures. She should really become a pet photographer too - she is great and I would definitely recommend her highly as does Dodger, Puna, and Maggie.

Melinda was very professional and reliable caring for my cat while I was away. She came by my house every day while I was gone, text me when she arrived, and would text me pictures of Lucy. She went above and beyond what I expected by also watering my plants, taking out the trash can, and befriending Lucy. I highly recommend her services.

If you're in need of pet sitting we highly recommend Melinda with Stay and Play Pet Sitting! She's very dependable, caring and goes above and beyond when taking care of our cats! She lets us know when she arrives and when she leaves our house. She spends the whole time playing with our cats and makew sure they are happy and content. She also sends us a daily picture and sometimes a video of our cats. Melinda truly cares about the animals she takes care of and that we're happy with her services. We never worry about our cats when we're away while under Melinda''s care. Melinda has become like family to us! We won't use anyone else!

After much research and deliberation I chose Melinda to watch my fur babies while I left town for a week. I have 4 cats all with very different needs and personalities. I have so much anxiety revolved around leaving town and leaving my cats alone, so I was very lucky to have found Melinda. You can tell that she genuinely loves animals and enjoys her job sitting. She was very communicative and sent me lots of pictures and updates on my babies. I have one male cat that sprays and has to stay separate from my other 3 female cats. He lives outdoors and has very different needs that my 3 indoor cats. She paid them all equal attention and fed/cared for them accordingly. She listened to all of my instructions and carried them out like a pro! She cleaned 3 cat boxes, picked up their toys, cleaned up accidents and even took out my trash and watered my plants! She is amazing!! I was very skeptical about letting a stranger into my house and around my animals, as I'm sure most people are at first, but I assure you that Melinda will give you the peace of mind you are looking for in a pet sitter. I can't thank Melinda enough for the wonderful job she did. I highly recommend!

We were away for 2 nights and had our 2 dogs looked after at home. One requires medicine and eye drops and both need a lot of attention. The service was excellent and we were notified of every visit and several pictures were sent. This made it easier to relax on our weekend away. We would definitely use the service again and would suggest it to others.

We could not be happier with Melinda's care and compassion for our golden retriever, Gracie, our cat, Scooter, and our home - inside and out! She was extremely organized, prepared, and took extra steps to make sure our pets and home were well cared for and safe. Daily photos and texts with each visit were a comfort when we were away. It was obvious our pets were happy and that took worry away from us - we knew Melinda was extremely capable and really cared about Gracie and Scooter. I highly recommend Stay and Play! I have two senior cats on CKD diets, one of which is also on a daily medication. Boarding is not an option for us as one of our cats becomes stressed and fractious in new environments. It has been such a blessing to find Stay and Play Pet Sitting to give us peace of mind while we travel. Melinda is incredibly professional and thorough and has done an excellent job with our kitties for two trips now. Stay and Play will be my first choice for pet sitting for all my future travel.

Melinda is nothing short of amazing! It was first time I left my dogs, chickens, turkeys and ducks with anyone besides family. After a meet and greet I felt so comfortable and confident that Melinda would do an amazing job. While on my trip she sent me text and video updates. I've used Melinda's services for almost a year now and she really cares about your fur family member. I needed her services last week last minute as I was getting induced for labor. She made no hesitation to come by my house twice a day and I ended up staying in hospital longer then I had planned and she came by to take care of my dog an extra day. She truly cares for your animal. Melinda let's you know when she arrives at your house and leaves. She also takes pictures of your dog so you can see your dog is doing great and is comfortable too. I highly recommend Melinda as I would not want anyone else to watch my dog. I even received a valentine's card with candy for me and treats for my dog.. she goes above and beyond.

There is a good hearted loving spirit that Melinda brings to the attention of our three dogs. She has become quite intuitive to their needs, affections, and provides some detailed insight that also helps us give them additional care: treat suggestions, allergy information, tips and tricks that we are not aware of that is good to know. We anticipate when its safe to travel we know that Melinda can slide right into our home and continue to keep the routine of our dogs. We have one dog that is blind and needs limited supervision inside the home and definitely supervision while outside, one dog with one eye that is not as trusting and the other with a loving and sometimes grouchy disposition. Melinda with Stay and Play pet sitting was wonderful. She was respectful of our pets and our home. It was nice to be able to leave our pups where they were comfortable in their own home instead of boarding them. Her rates are very reasonable as well. This is one of those reviews I (secretly) hate to write - because I want Melinda and Stay & Play Pet Sitting all to myself!! Seriously the BEST! Melinda was so wonderful for us and our 3 cats. We needed a sitter short notice and she was able to step in and be there. Our boys can be a little needy at times and two of them have daily medications. Our oldest, Zeus, who is 19, is always a major worry of ours when away, and Melinda really calmed our nerves and was so sweet with him. She is experienced, not just as a sitter, but in pet CARE as a previous veterinary assistant which I loved about her right away. I trust her to know what to do in any situation with Zeus's health. She was able to not only administer medications, but provided his fluid therapy while we were gone which is a big help. She also continually goes above and beyond! She doesn't just come, check the tasks off her list, and leave. She spends time with our cats letting them stick to their routines, and giving them attention and play time. She cleaned up the messes they made (which she did NOT have to do) and was sweet to send us daily reports, pictures and videos. Yes, she is more expensive than your neighbor. But - * She offers varying levels of care * She goes above and beyond * She is more than qualified * She is 100% WORTH IT I highly recommend Melinda and Stay & Play Pet Sitting for so many reasons!

Melinda has been wonderful sitter for our pets. One of our cars is extremely skittish and boarding her is a nightmare. With Melinda we can safely leave our pets at home where they are most comfortable with no worries. We get daily updates and often pictures. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. That's been my husband and I's motto. Unfortunately, our last pet sitter experience prior to Melinda was a horrible one and we should have remembered our motto - -because it was at a cheap cost in exchange for very poor, horrific service to my dogs and my home. Melinda's professionalism and great attention to detail, her genuine care for our most beloved senior dogs enabled us to trust again. She stayed in our home for 7 days and sent constant communication, pictures, and video to keep us informed how our boys have been acting while we were away (they could be very nervous and restless). We were completely at ease knowing Melinda was there and she stuck to our detailed, meticulous routine which was of utmost importance. She even did a special video and gave treats to one of our pup's on his birthday! THANK YOU MELINDA! We can now travel stress-free. You've got a very pleased first-time client here and will definitely see you again soon!

Melinda is great with my two dogs...they are older and need meds. Remy doesn't warm up to new people easily but warmed up immediately with Melinda. Her pics and notes are wonderful...she really knows and loves them like they are hers. :-)
