All of the staff are carrying and professional. We couldn't ask for a better vet than Dr. Allison. She not only takes care of the animals she takes care of us too. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this clinic

I cannot say enough about the care my Simba was given. They took him in on emergency for the second time and saved him both times. The devotion, dedication, care and sacrifice is more than you can ask for. Thank you ♥️

Dr.Pillsbury cares so deeply for each and every animal. She’s available 24 hours a day for emergencies. She’s saved the lives of 2 of my dogs and I am forever grateful to her

Once again, Dr Pillsbury performed surgery on one of my critters. I completely trust her with diagnosis and treatment suggestions. Nice to have peace of mind whilst my babies are in her care. ????

We had our new member of our family (Revy) get checked out by the staff at Acorn Hills. Everyone cares about you pet/family member there. Great service. I will say, don’t be in a hurry because they take the time to get to know your pet and make them comfortable. Your pets health is not just another $ale. Over the years we had 3 dogs that were quite mature in age, and when it came to that day we all dread, the staff was so compassionate. Later we received a letter that a donation was made in the memory of our loss to help future pets, which the donation was from Acorn Hills Animal Center. Wow! Thank you to all the staff at Acorn Hills Animal Center!

Dr Pillsbury is the best she has done so much to keep my 17 year old Eddiehaskel comfortable in his later years, and has been wonderful with my German Shepherd pup Trucy. The staff is wonderful and can’t not be replaced. Eddie is a frequent flyer and they always accommodate and get him in or make sure he has his medications.Eddiehaskel has says thank Acorn Hills ✨????

OMG don't call them after 3pm Monday through Friday. Whomever the receptionist answering the phone around that time is extremely rude. I thought this was an 24hr facility with normal working hours M-F 8am to 6pm. Additionally their fee's are ridiculous! Shame on you for treating Amador county residents poorly and charging them high fee's.

Alison is always thorough and listens. Recently I thought my cat had hair ball issues. Stats were fine so changing what she ate and adding some supplements has already helped And the cat likes the new food which helps with dental tartar. So we are set until the next time.

The Animal Center, with 6 other ER patients and a full regular client schedule, agreed to provide ER care for my cat. Despite their full and stressful day, they were positive and kind. My cat received excellent care. Two days later I again needed ER help for a cat for whom I was cat sitting.. Acorn Hills found time to see him. This cat had a very serious eye injury.. Dr.. Pillsbury saved the eye! I highly recommend Acorn Hills and am most appreciative of their professionalism, quality care, and positive attitude.

First of all everyone is so polite and so knowledgeable …you feel comfortable …they even tell you things that you didn’t think you needed to know! Dr. Pillsbury was amazing… she is such a wonderful doctor! I have a French bulldog, she’s a bit high maintenance ……took all the advice Dr. Pillsbury had to offer and happy to say Macey is doing well!!! I appreciate the wisdom and the knowledge Dr. Pillsbury had to share …..she really took the time. I never felt rushed ….she was there and definitely in the moment…. something so many lack these days. I am new to this area of Amador …..I did my homework and I am happy to say, I chose the best thank you Dr. Pillsbury and staff! Denise Deatrick

We just experienced our 6 year old miniature Schnauzer having a severe attack of Pancreatitus. We brought her to Acorn Hills not realizing how critical she was. Dr Pillsbury and her wonderful staff knew and immediately went into action to literally save our dog's life. We cannot find enough words to thank them. Acorn Hills is the best.

They really care, worked my dog in ASAP for an emergency even though they were booked solid. They are passionate about what they do and the animals they help and that gave me peace of mind that they would take care of my baby. Thank you!

Best vet that I have ever been to. Always available and always very complete care. Over the years have been to many vets and by far they are the very best. My Labs only go there.

Acorn Hills was the only vet in our area that cared we were having an emergency situation with our Momma dog and her 7 puppies. We first tried our “regular” vet and they turned us away and said we needed an appointment. Dr Pillsbury and her staff brought us in right away and truly saved all eight dogs lives. We are grateful for Dr Pillsbury and the staff at Acorn Hills. Each question and fear was met with kindness and understanding.

The lady who answered the phone was rude and jumped to conclusions on what she thinks is going on with my dog which I no was not correct! They are not excepting new patients either.

Called due to a very sick kitten, they wouldn’t even see him with out 215$ up front. I understand this is a business but as an emergency I feel they could have at least checked him and billed me. I pleaded with them, even stated I get paid this week, and they said they couldn’t do anything.

We just love Acorn Hills Animal Center. The care and concern for our dog, Coco has been outstanding. Even with all of the COVID restrictions, the operation of the clinic is like a well-oiled machine — everything functions with efficiency, taking into consideration the health and well-being of their patients, pet-owners, and staff. Our dog Coco had a mass removed May 2020 which was scary and stressful. Dr. Pillsbury and her staff took us through the process with professionalism, tact, and understanding. We were given a few treatment options to chose from and once we decided how to proceed, the treatment plan was clearly communicated to us. They have exceeded our expectations at every visit since then. We recommend Acorn Hills to all of our family and friends because we know that they provide phenomenal emergency and general animal care.

Acorn hills Animal Center only cares about their money not about the well being of animals!! My friends dog has a prolapsed uterus, and was dying and all they cared about is money up front. Sadly the dog did pass after going to another vet. If they would have treated her. She would be alive. I do NOT recommend going to this vet

We have found Acorn Hills Animal Center to be extremely caring and compassionate when attending to the needs of your pet. Acorn Hills treats your pet as a family member; and nit just your family member, but one of their own. Superb medical service provider...
