I've been so grateful to Sunland PMC, where I can usually get a sick pet seen in a reasonable time, before it gets worse and becomes an emergency. The staff have been kind and efficient, and I have confidence in Dr. Afshar's advice and treatment. The extra miles are well worth it, saving me time in the long run and giving me peace of mind. Ya gotta love a place for that.

Absolutely amazing!! The staff and Dr. Afshar are one of a kind! They are animal people and you can tell they love what they do. Dr. Afshar goes above and beyond and her compassion for her patients is unmatched. She treats them like her own! Thank you all!!

I Love Pet Medical Center! I had been going to a low cost clinic that was only open 3 days a week and of course my kitty, who has CKD, was in need of fluids on a day they were closed. Pet Medical center was the ONLY clinic that would take her in to receive fluids without doing VERY costly unnecessary tests, I had one clinic quote me $2300. That was about two years ago and after the quality of care my baby girl recieved I now only go to Pet Medical center. Am I paying a little more for her care? Yes, but not that much more and the quality of care is much better. They have always been kind, caring, compassionate and informative. I book appointments with ease, usually within a day or 2 which is fine since the are not an emergency vet but have been able to get same day appointments in the past.

These reviews are laughable. Certainly purchased or solicited. They administered the WRONG DOSAGE OF MEDICATION to my puppy even AFTER I warned them. A total disaster best describes this place. During weigh in the vet tech Joanna announced my puppies weight at 34lbs. A few minutes later when administering the meds she mentioned 44lbs so I asked her if she was sure as at the scale it sounded like she said (and i read on the screen) 34 lbs. She said she was sure she double checked and it was 34. A TOTAL LIE! I asked her to look at his hind legs and see if there was an issue and her response WITHOUT looking at him was yes it looks like it but I cant tell, you have to come back 6 hrs later for the vet to look. Mind you the vet is behind the counter so I said any chance she could glance and just tell me if there is an issue, if so I will return. I just didn't want to drive 30 miles to come back for someone to tell me there isn't an issue. Of course they said NO. I get home and weigh my puppy and sure enough he is 34 lbs. I called them back and spoke to the vet who was totally UNAPOLOGETIC that they had given my puppy the wrong dosage of meds instead telling me my opinion of her vet tech who is a "trained" professional doesn't matter and that everyone makes mistakes. Further, the techs administer the vaccines and the vet signs off on it. I wonder if its legal, will find out soon when my attorney reaches out and begins to depose them. All in all, stay away from this place if you dont want them to kill your pets.

I am on a fixed income and we have 3 cats. Just like everyone, even though I don't have a lot of money I wanted the best care for my pets for a reasonable amount of money. I found that with Pet Medical Center in Sunland. My cat had infection in both ears, was given an antibiotic cream that goes on the outside of the ear and is absorbed through the skin so I didn't have to get him to take a pill, or liquid medicine. He is doing so good now, and back to his happy self. Pet Medical Center in Sunland is my new vetinary, and I'm very happy with them. Deborah Bunt

I've been coming here for 30yrs. I've always received consitant quality compassionate service. I doubt you could do any better anywhere in town. It's also a plus there connected with Chatoak pet hospital should you need it.

We needed a new vet after our former one became part of a chain and lost its warm, personal atmosphere. We chose Pet Medical Center - Sunland because it was in our local area, and are extremely pleased with them. The staff members are unfailingly pleasant, obviously love animals, and made us comfortable in trusting our dog's care to them. The vet, Dr. Afshar, is wonderful - calm, competent, open, warm, and patient, taking her time answering questions and explaining things every step of the way. We wholeheartedly recommend Pet Medical Center - Sunland for your animal companions' care.

The staff here does NOT care about you and your pets, even in an emergency!! I can no longer trust them. My dog and I had been patients here for over two years and on Monday afternoon when she had a medical emergency, we were turned away with no regard and NO efforts made to help our situation. I was standing INSIDE the EMPTY lobby holding back tears with my dog who couldn’t walk well, was drooling on herself, and couldn’t open her eyes, and I asked the staff for help. I was told they were booked and that we couldn’t be seen. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS AN EMERGENCY! It was the most stressful and scary time I’ve had with my dogs health, and our own vets office TURNED US AWAY!! They didn’t even bother to have the vet come at least LOOK at her. I am so upset with the level of care we received that I refuse to come back here and will be seeking another vet instead. I ended up instead having to call around in my stress and panic and finally found an emergency vet 25 minutes away in Pasadena, and had gotten my dog in about an hour after bringing her into pet medical center. She needed immediate fluids and had to spend the night monitored in the hospital. The emergency vet ended up costing me $2500!! My dog could have been seen by our regular vet and it would’ve ended up costing me much less, but they refused to help us in our time of greatest need. That tells me that the staff and doctors here do not care about you and your pets, even in an emergency!! So I can no longer trust that we are receiving the best care we could be. So so disappointed and disgusted.

Great place. I feel like the whole staff really cares about our pets and the pet parents. Have been going to PMC for 25 years or more. Long time member Jamie always happy to visit with old friends. Love them all!

Dr. Afshar is a true angel. She is the kindest soul to treat animals. She goes above and beyond and selflessly devotes herself to her art, her skill of healing our priceless fur babies. I will forever be grateful to her and her staff for being so generous and kind, so professional and caring. For contrast, I had gone to a vet only 2 days prior to visiting her and that vet (it's a disgrace to call him that) was ready to put my baby to sleep. Dr. Afshar remained, calm, collected, positive and took action. You will not regret taking your best friend to her.

I have been going to Pet Medical Center in Sunland for over 6 years now, What can I say except I would not trust my beloved pets with only Dr Afshar and his crew, Jaime, Martha, Ally, Savannah, Kim. They are AMAZING, so caring and thoughtful, always accommodating and extremely professional. Highly Recommend Pet Medical Center. I dont know what I would do with out Dr Afshar and his amazing team.

EVERYONE here is AMAZING! So kind and thoughtful. I’ve had pets my entire life and out of all the veterinary offices I’ve been to I’m very happy to have found this place, I don’t feel like I’m getting the run around and taken advantage of as I have felt at other places.

The most caring staff! We have a few animals with them and we always receive exceptional service! Recently our young kitten was sick and the staff stayed late on a Friday to make sure we could pick up his meds. Wonderful practice, wouldn't take my pets anywhere else!

Dr. Ashfar and staff are great. A friend of mine recommended I bring my cats to her. I live very far from the clinic - but was assured it would be worth the drive! They are great, very knowledgeable, and affordable. Definitely will be bringing our pets here from now on!

Been taking our husky to Pet Medical Center since we adopted her and have been so happy with our experiences there. Not only is Dr. Afshar a consummate professional who is so kind that she eases any anxiety my dog has, but she and the rest of the staff are also very patient and responsive. Highly recommend this practice to any pet owners!

Wow! After reading the reviews online I brought my pup in for his first visit with Dr. Afshar since moving to the area. I was blown away by her professionalism and bedside manner. My guy has never had such a calm and easy vet visit in his life. The doctor was incredible and made it so easy for my dog who usually cries during exams and snarls when vaccinated. We’ve seen many highly trained, brilliant veterinarians but Dr. Afshar is the best I’ve met. Her staff is also very kind. Highly recommended!

Love this vet office! They are always very kind over the phone and in person. That doctor is by far the best she explains everything to me in detail and makes sure I understand any procedure my dog may need to have done. The prices are great ive been to other vets and the office visits alone were way too much, here I feel at ease bringing my pup in.

I recently took my Cocker Spaniel in for an office visit. My boy can get very anxious and much to my surprise he handled the visit well. I also had him shaved down which I have had done a few times. It was time for an update on his Rabies Shot. He was sent home with ear drops for an infection with instructions and follow-up. The office staff are all wonderful to work with and it's great to know my boy is in good hands.

We love this veterinary clinic! Dr. Ashfar, Jaime, Allie, and the rest of the staff treat us and our six cats like family every time we're there. Benjamin and Christopher were in for teeth cleaning last week, and they called and checked on both of them the next day following their procedures.

Our dog unfortunately passed away this morning and I called savanna and she was able to help me. The entire staff is very professional and also the gentleman working in the back was able to help us with our pet

This is a wonderful office. Compassionate, thoughtful, professional, and just plain good people. I moved out of the neighborhood years ago, and still choose to make the trip to this office.

This vet office is truly crown jewel in our neighborhood. I've been coming here for years. I had a free coupon for spaying my pitty puppy yet chose to have Dr Afshar do the surgery. So glad I did. The very next day my pup was in good spirits and clearly not in a lot of pain. So from the front desk to the great Dr Afshar you just cant go wrong.
