My kitty was very sick and they took her in on the same day I called. The exam fee was very reasonable and they were very gentle with her. Ceasar was professional, respectful and knowledgeable. He listened attentively to my concerns and they were all addressed during the visit. The doctor was great and very clear with the information and instructions he provided. My kitty felt comfortable with the way they all handled her. I would recommend this place to anyone that is needing care for your pet. After all, they are part of our family. I went to a different Pet hospital two days before and they sent her home miserable and she got worse. It took 3 days to get an appointment and all they kept saying was they were just so busy. They took 2 days to call us back with test results and still didn't help my kitty. She was so sick with diarrhea and dehydrated she lost even more weight, I was beside myself. When I got to Spruce Pet Hospital they were a breath of fresh air. I was so releaved to see how clean and well ventilated the place was and how efficient they did business. I didn't get that at the other place at all. Please. If you love your pet, take them here. Many Thanks to the staff!

Same-day appointment. The vet was dismissive and spent no more than a few minutes with us. Barely looked at my dog and didn't bother to do any vitals. Disappointing, won't return.

We took our puppy to this vet because all other places were booked out to get her vaccines. Our first visit went ok, but the vet did not bother to interact or try to get to know our pet before administering her first vaccine...he simply gave her the shot, did the exam, and left. The next appointment, the vet tech/receptionist there forgot that our puppy had an appointment and was about to close the place when we knocked on the door (not sure how that happens when they have an appointment book). The doctor was not even there, so the vet tech administered the second shot. I haven't seen someone who wasn't the vet administer a vaccine for any of the dogs I've had. For the third vaccine, I received a call the day of telling us that we had to reschedule our appointment because the doctor wouldn't be there (again?) and that he only works from 12:00-1:30. ***The doctor only works for an hour and thirty minutes? We couldn't come in because it was booked out for the day and our pet needs to be seen by the doctor. First of all, we should have been notified AT LEAST the day before so that was very unprofessional of them. Second of all, I asked if she should have been seen by the doctor last time and the lady said yes, and that she wasn't sure why the vet tech administered the shot, and that he recently quit. This place is extremely unprofessional and sketchy to say the least, and I will not be coming back.

Ohm is the current tech. I can’t begin to tell you how professional and caring and knowledgeable he is. After Dr Griffin passed, a lot of Drs came through and I had pretty much lost my faith but my mom who met the new current Dr and Ohm convinced me to give it one more try. I am so happy I did. This new dynamic duo ( Dr and Ohm) are amazing. Dr Griffin would be proud. Thank you to the both of you for all that you have done and continue to do for me and my family and our pets, Misty, Sadie, and Pepper!!! We are forever grateful.

I found a lost dog, and brought it here. They scanned him for me, and I was able to reunited with owner. The Dr. was awesome to let me in during closed hours and help me out. Very friendly man.

Went in for my new pet patient visit today, May 5th. I paid $50 for the Vet MD Rodger Claxton, to be short with performing an exam or even wanting to answer the health questions and concerns I had for my pet. He was extremely rude and seemed very annoyed with caring for my pet. What really bothered me was the fact that he was speaking, said "hold on." Walked out the room and never came back. The tech came back in to further explain my pet treatment plan. As I was walked out the room, I found Rodger bragging about how he was about to go to lunch. I immediately expressed frustration to the girl behind the counter. She had him answer the remaining questions I had. His responses still very short and rude. I asked how many times a day I should be giving my pet the medication he prescribed? His response was "you can read the label." He didnt even bother to explain what he was prescribing and how it was going to help my pet. The girl disappeared from behind the counter. Rodger goes "it that it?" Before, I could respond, he had walked out the door. The male vet tech came with the medication, cause like I said the girl disappeared. The Male vet tech, was nice, very informative. I wish I could remember his name. Thankfully for him he saved the bad experience with Rodger. He heard my frustrations, cause I definitely expressed them again. He remained calm, courteous and took the time to reassure and explained that what Rodger prescribed was safe for my pet. He told me to apply the prescribed ointment twice a day. That information wasn't on the label, like Rodger said it would be. My puppy is only 4 months old. He is my furbaby! I don't know what makes Rodger have a huge ego, and walk around like he is some know it all with out any facts to back up the responses to one's questions. I hope my pet gets better, cause I'm not sure if I'll be back here.

Dr. Bakhri and his staff are very sensitive and caring about our dog, as I'm sure they are about all of their patients; they are second to none.

The 1st time I took one of my fur baby's to this veterinarian The on call that was very friendly and helpful. We travel for my husband's work and we move around California. We just happen to be back in the area when our other fur baby got sick. They have an event Mary so instead of trying to find another vetinairy in office since we are not from here we took it to the same office. Not even 5 minutes in the office. The vet our Fur baby for 30 seconds And said She needs an x-ray and blood work He said He believes that she has a dangerous poison in her uterus. Has a wait minute I'm here because she was constipated and may have some teeth that need to be pulled but not for her uterus. At that moment I already knew I was being scammed at my for babies expense. What do you do with that moment when your baby's not feeling well and they need to be examined you go ahead and get it regardless of what the price so $580 later for the vetenary in to say no that's not what she has but will give her some antibiotic It's something for inflammation. Anybody know of a good veterinarian in San Francisco that's not out to become rich but really care about your pet

I've had a very hard time finding vets for my dog Loki as he was very badly abused and neglected before my boyfriend and I adopted him. This causes him to be aggressive when faced with situations he finds to be scary. But this Vet knew exactly what he was doing and knew that Loki was acting out of fear. Even though Loki had to be mussled for his procedures (for obvious reasons) this vet was very reassuring and only let out calm energy no matter how scared and unruly Loki got. Every vet we had taken Loki to prior reflected Loki's stress and made the poor dog more scared and stressed out. Loki successfully got all of his shots and his nails trimmed without any unnecessary injury on Loki's part. I 100% would recommend this place. I know that my baby boy is in good and understanding hands here. My only sadness is that this vet can't take care of exotic pets as I have rabbits as well.

The vet is very friendly and so far has been knowledgeable about the issues my puppy has faced. The receptionists are also very friendly.

how about some reviews on the new vet. they changed vets since I was there last. I find this place to be very cold and not very caring!! No one talks to you and act like you are not in the waiting room listening to your poor dog crying!!!!!!

I really like this place because my senior dog needs special attention. Daniel, Morty, and Dr. Frazier have provided excellent service towards both my dogs Bowie & Tito. Their hospital is cute, clean, and well organized. I really like the fact that Dr. Frazier provided a plan to prolong my senior dog's life rather than comfort him. I enjoy watching Daniel interact with my little Tito. She's so sweet towards all the animals that come in. I definitely trust them with my pets.
