During a weekend trip to Tahoe, my partner and I wanted to go skiing but realized we couldn't leave the dog in the cabin for that long. Luckily I found Tahoe Best Friends and the great reviews did not disappoint. I called on a Saturday and was able to get my dog, Kodi, in the next day. The $50 price tag was super affordable and the employees were incredibly friendly. If you're taking a trip to Tahoe and need a dog day care, call Tahoe Best Friends!

We took our big guy Castle there Saturday & Sunday over MLK weekend and he had a blast. The location is really convenient if you’re staying in South Lake Tahoe and skiing/snowboarding nearby. It’s also a great price at $50 for 1 day of daycare. He loved all the furniture so he could hang out and relax and he felt right at home. The staff were super kind and seemed really attentive. After his first day on Saturday he was so excited to go back on Sunday to play. He was thoroughly tired out afterwards and we all know a tired dog is a good dog!

They were able to take our dog on a Saturday for doggie day care with a 2 day notice. Super friendly people and staff. We will definitely be back.

If you wish for your dog to be stressed out and overwhelmed with sadness, then go ahead and leave your precious pup here. They’ve got to be violating some kind of laws in the open space dog to caretaker ratio. We do not love the idea of keeping our beloved pet in a kennel, but this situation is just mayhem madness. Steer clear.

Employees were nice and it was fun to be around the dogs but the boss/manager could of handled the situation better when told I wasn’t interested in working there anymore.

Highly not recommend this job or taking your dog there worst work place ever. The manager aka the “BOSS” is very rude and does not handle situations like a boss should. The “BOSS” should also be a whole lot more respectful about people quitting consider what they have done for her and what she has done for them.

I love how open and free the dogs are. My dog never wants to leave. They seem to really care about these animals. It's nice to have a trusted place to leave my dog when I'm in town.

We were planning on traveling to lake Tahoe and found this place. We called to inquire about availability and the lady was very rude on the phone. I was simply trying to discuss the setup over 4th of July as my dog get anxious under loud noises like really any dog and we said she may need a retreat. They lady on the phone kept saying my dog was aggressive and asked me what conditions she aggressive under and she told me if my dog bites another dog I would be responsible for it. I kept telling her my dog was not aggressive and she kept insisting that she was. We told the lady that our dog was a Shiba Inu and I believe this lady may have had a bad interactions with a Shiba Inu in the past because she kept insisting our dog was aggressive. She said "I know what a Shiba is". I told her you keep insisting that our Shiba is aggressive and she is not she plays with other dogs, we take her to the dog park and she is very friendly. I asked her to stop insisting my dog is aggressive and she raised her voice and said "you know what we don't need your business here!!" And then she hung up. Very rude!! Horrible customer service. And so uncalled for. Wow really taken back.

I don't recommend leaving your dogs overnight. They don't feed them the food you bring, you don't get back your remaining food or bowl. And their groomer left my dog's toenail untrimmed and now it is growing into the pad. My chihuahua, that has food allergies had flaming infected ears when I picked her up which tells me she had food other than what I brought, in addition to the above. I believe they mean well, I believe for daycare it's okay but not boarding for 2 or more days. Very disappointing ????

Awesome cage free environment with a great group of caregivers. My dog loves it there.

Ok so we didn't end up getting their services but I was really pleased with our conversation over the phone. They were super helpful and answered all my questions. I felt that the services they provide are excellent. We just ended up taking our cat on vacation with us instead. But I highly recommend.

Dropped our dog off here for two days while we were skiing. Amazing staff and our pup had a blast!

We loved this place, but not as much as our dogs. We’ve used other all day play places and our dogs never acted this excited. The atmosphere and staff are amazing. Great place to drop the dogs off for the day while you do explore. Will use them again

Boarded our lil pup for 2 nights and were very satisfied. Were able to call to check in on her and got to see daily pics of her on FB. Staff took great care of her. Thanks guys!

Thank you so much for taking care of Rushmore for the day. It was his first time at a doggy day care and I was so nervous that he would hate it. The staff was very friendly and made me feel at ease. Rushmore had the best time and was so tired when he got back home. The next day he honestly thought we were going back to Tahoe Best Friends because he got up and was so excited to get his leash on and get in the car. Next time I’m in town he will be back. He loved it!!

These people are amazing. They always take great care of my little pup. I recommend them to anyone and everyone. Paige and Drew both consistently handle my little monster with expert care. Thank you for all you do!
