I love Dr. Miller! He takes time to answer questions and is very thorough. Instead of putting my corgi Zoey up on the metal table, he always comes and sits on the floor with her. He is also conscious about the financial limitations of his clients. He is very good at what he does and you can tell he cares a lot!

The whole staff has been amazing since day 1. I moved to the area about 3 years ago and this year took in a dog who needed some tlc. They took amazing care of Gizmo and soon I will be taking my cat in for her vaccines when its time. I love the friendly staff, and they are so great at helping me with any questions I have. They were also able to see Gizmo quick when he was having upper respiratory issues. Love them and will be recommending them to many more as I already have been ????

Find another Vet to go to. Recommended an expensive unnecessary surgery for my dog that another vet treated in in one visit. Complete misdiagnosis!

We have a five-year-old dog that hasn't needed much more than vaccines and annual check-ups. Then he needed a dental cleaning and mass removal. The staff did a great job communicating with us prior to the procedure and Dr. Miller stitched him up perfectly, with antibiotics and a cone to take home. He also informed us that the mass was cancerous and how to get a more thorough diagnosis from an amazing oncologist in Monterey. I was very impressed with Dr. Miller's expertise and the kindness of the entire staff at Soquel Creek Animal Hospital. Highly recommend.

Dr Jason Miller has been watching over Cabo since I had him. I got Cabo when he was already 5. He's been the best dog ever. Now he's almost 14 and has had several old age issues. Dr. Miller has been very supportive to me and watching us go through these difficult years. It's great to have a vet who is compassionate and kind and listens.

If it feels wrong, it probably is. My dog swallowed/ate a whoe hammock bone, they estimated $488 for xrays (1 charge to look at the initial, 1 charge for a consultant review and another charge to look again) & a $50 small bag of dog food - then charged me $48 for an exam. I paid $50 for an estimate...not only did I leave feeling taken advantage of, the THREE girls at the front desk were defensive and argumentative after I said I was going to call my vet for advice. ADVICE from my vet who I won't name: feed him soft foods (cottage cheese, boiled chicken, scrambled eggs, white rice) until he has normal looking stools. If he becomes lethargic, stops eating or has blood in his stool then come in. An xray is unnecessary at this point, we would not induce vomiting - it could cause more harm than good. I hope these folks enjoy their Christmas bonus...

BEWARE of getting vaccinations here! Both our cats ended up with major issues after getting vaccinated at this vet! On both my female cats right where they gave them their vaccines they developed a nasty scar/rash and started acting strangely. I took them back in to be seen and was told they had simply 'scratched it' ...except both areas were a perfect circle and right between their shoulder blades where they can't really reach. I immediately got a second opinion and the new vet is convinced these vaccines were expired and/or possible banned vaccines from China, harmful and 100% caused the sores and lethargy. The other vet vaccinated them properly for free and treated their sores and lethargy but unfortunately they said the marks/scar will never fully heal. I posted a photo on yelp of the area after 8 weeks of healing. :( Soquel Creek has done the horrific up-sell routine to me as well as charging me for things I never authorized before but we'd gone there a few years now and hoped those were one time offenses. I wanted to post this review sooner but I decided to wait until we knew they were both back to normal and would survive to post anything. I will never go back to them. I urge you and yours to steer clear as well.

MY CAT ALMOST DIED, THEY DIDNT CARE, AND I WOULD THINK TWICE BEFORE GOING TO THIS VET!!! Negative stars is an understatement. I took my cat to this vet to be checked up for urinating in the wrong places. After I did a search online, I learned that this could be one of many things, and that a trip to the vet was necessary. I took my cat to Soquel Creek Animal Hospital. I went in on a Wednesday, the vet said that they would take some urine to do testing and a culture for crystals, UTI, and I was told I would get the results on the following Monday. I was told Crystals would be dangerous, but not just how dangerous they could be, and how important it was to start taking the right steps. I left without any medications or any idea that my cat may die in the days following. I was informed a diet change would be needed if it was crystals, and nothing else. The following Monday, I was informed my cat had crystals and I could pick up the change in food the next day. I told the vet my cat had puked that morning and he said nothing new. The vet didnt tell me to bring my cat back in or anything to suggest that I should be more worried. I went home thinking everything was okay and a minor change was necessary. Well, I got home to a much different scenario. I walked into my house covered in blood. I dont mean just a couple of drops. I mean my entire dinning room, kitchen, hallway, bedroom, to the bathroom where I found my cat covered in blood. I scooped up my little baby and immediately went to the emergency vet. I told them I knew he had crystals, and they asked me what type and I didnt know (the vet didnt inform me that there were different types or what they meant). I learned later that it makes a big difference. My cat's kidneys were extremely elevated, and he was blocked by crystals. It wasnt clear if my cat was going to make it through the night. My cat stayed at the hospital for 2 1/2 days, and finally came home. He may still have some ups and downs but I am now informed thanks to the emergency vet and the proper procedures are being taken going forward. I called that vet, and I talked to the particular vet who saw my cat. I told him how upset I was and that I thought there was something they should have done between Wednesday and the following Monday where I came home to an almost dead cat. He was not apologetic and asked me what I wanted him to do. Im not a vet and I informed him that is why I took my cat to him because he is the professional in this field. I wouldnt ask my client to come to my office and tell me how to handle their case. After getting no where with the vet. I called the office manager. To my surprise, she handled herself much worse than the vet himself. She was rude, condescending, unprofessional, and again, asked me what they should have done. She then went on to tell me they did everything just like every other vet would have, and I wouldnt know because I wasnt a vet. I said I would look into that issue and talk to other vets, and I did just that. (look at yelp review for more details). What did I find out? Soquel Animal Creek didnt do things as every other vet would have done. In fact, they should have known my cat had crystals in 24 hours, and at most 48 hours, meaning FRIDAY (three days before I was told). I was informed antibiotics, and a stool softener medication was also a precaution that should have been taken when crystals were a possibility, meaning when the vet talked with me on Wednesday. Additionally, that had these measure been taken that may have prevented my cat from getting the blockage, and therefore, not ending up in the emergency vet for a life threatening situation. That a change in food was another simple change that could have been made that Wednesday. They could have also referred me to an emergency vet that could have had all the tests done and results back to me within the same day. My cat almost died because I trusted this vet to do their job and instead they want me to tell them how they should have done their job. Well, here you go! I will never take

Fortunately I haven't had to deal with sick animals much, but when "my girl " got really sick and lost 6 lbs, I was so relieved that Dr. Miller was there and so dilegent in finding the cause of this sudden illness. He and the staff were so very caring. I was very impressed with every one there.

Great people and great service! My 1 year old puppy got spayed and they took care of her like she was their own dog. They wrapped her up in a blanket and she layed under the receptionists desk until we got there. Definitely recomend their services!

I have found that the staff and Doctor really listen and help educate the owners. I really enjoy taking my dog there and will continue to as long as Dr Miller continues to operate the clinic. Best tech ever is Meg! She really cares about my dog and Marci goes out of her way to help you when you need it. Brooke has the sweetest voice and manner and we enjoy being greeted by her.

This is one fine vet who not only knows his cats and dogs (and no doubt other animals), but also (rare) knows how to run a great, efficient office and hire great human assistants. So what you have here is not just a friendly and expert place to treat your pet, but also a wonderfully welcoming office! Who’d want more than great people who share our love and concern for our pets?!
