Maranda Ranch Kennels Sonoma, California

The staff is incredibly friendly, there's animals to look at- a pig, chickens, cats, ponies, alpacas, and depending on the timing, you may even get to see new puppies waiting to go their new homes...if you need to leave your dog somewhere for a little while, I recommend the ranch...friendly staff and competitive pricing! Beautiful location just outside Sonoma, in the green hills.

I’m not gonna lie, back in March, I hated the idea of putting my little man in a kennel. But Maranda is different! He has so much fun there (pictures to prove it) and gets excited pulling up to the check-in area. Thanks guys for taking great care of Leaf and giving me the piece of mind an anxious dog dad has!

My dog's 3-day stay was a horrific experience! (Photos below). Her paws were so infected and swollen she could hardly walk when I picked her up. And she was so heat exhausted I had to stop the car on the way home to make sure she was still alive! When we got home she shivered for over an hour. It cost over $100 at our vet, which included having to give her antibiotics for a week. And, my dog is super-sweet and mellow but her brand new canvas bag that had her stuff in it was ripped and the handle torn off -- which no one told me about when I picked her up nor would they tell me about it later when I asked. The only thing they said when I picked her up was, "Bring more food next time; she was hungry". They only feed once a day (!) so I brought her extra meals but no one bothered to call me to ask about feeding her more (I would've been paid extra) because they were perfectly fine with her going hungry!?!  THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR DOG, only about your money. Maribeth the owner said she would call me back and she didn't even when she was told our veterinarian was concerned. My dog's favorite thing in the world to do is to go for walks, but her paws were such a mess from being there she didn't want to go for a walk for three days. Three days!  She was traumatized and I was so upset it ruined my vacation. This kennel needs to be shut down!

Excellent boarding spot for locals in sonoma ????. They feed your dog once around noon time unless you specifically tell them otherwise. No need to bring your own dog food! Your dog will have fun and be well cared for here. My dog loves coming here and never comes home smelly like other places. Military discount available!!!

The absolute BEST home away from home for your fur baby! The babies get private space, communal space, love and care in an animal lovers setting! I wanna stay there! And everybody there is warm and wonderful and genuinely cares about your pet. Love them!

My boys loved it there. They stayed for 17 days. And were well taken care of and cared for.

I was nervous about leaving my dog at a kennel for the first time, and to make matters worse she had to have a minor surgery the day before my trip! Maranda Ranch assured me that they could removing her bandage when needed, administering all medication, and keeping her resting while she healed. When I picked her up she was completely healed and a happy pup! I would absolutely recommend Maranda and I definitely trust them with my pup's safety and health :) Thanks so much for taking care of Kula while I was out of town!

Our dog gets excited every time we even drive by Maranda Ranch! The team there are so wonderful...it’s great knowing that our pup will be treated like family and come home happy and tired when we get back from travels!

Entirely comfortable leaving the pups here. They are pretty active Aussie Border Collies and receive excellent care at Maranda Ranch. Lovely staff too! A+++

Friendly staff who really cares about dogs. Also they have just done a big remodeling project, giving the dogs a much larger play area.

Our vet recommended Maranda Ranch, and we could not be more grateful ! They warmly and efficiently care for the unique needs of our arthritic old lab, as well as our "crazy" young boxer. Our dogs can have time together there, but also space apart from eachother, and our boxer can run out his energy playing with the other dogs who are staying - so we found him a LOT less stressed out than he was after staying at other facilities in the past. I can bring in my own food with the dogs, but find it convenient that they will feed their own high-quality food at no additional charge. Plus, we got a small discount for boarding multiple pets at once. If that's not enough, it feels great supporting a local family-owned business.
