Arroyo Vet Clinic is one of the best vet experiences I have had in a long time. The staff is outstanding, and they really go above and beyond. I highly recommend them.

Arroyo is absolutely amazing. I have been working with Dr. Hart and Dr. Amaral for several years now and now Dr. Fallon. I am a breeder and words cannot express my gratitude for Arroyo! They always find a way to fit me in and they are extremely thorough in their practices. Because I am a breeder I work with many specialty vets and I must say that Arroyo surpasses them all! All the vets and staff are extremely thoughtful and competent! I HIGHLY recommend Arroyo vet! Love and hugs, Stage Gulch Goldens

I just found an insight into thistle company. Please have your employees get their education and certificate prior to working at this facility. Terrible place if you need proper care.

Quality of Care ___ Could be better, could be worse. I was told useful information that another vet hadn't suggested. But then I also had to ask that my cat get looked at more thoroughly. She's older and has a variety of health issues, that I was thorough about mentioning prior to my visit. I wasn't given a daily or weekly regimen for my cat's teeth care, just offered an oral injection or told to help her thyroid in preparation for her being able to handle teeth cleaning under anesthesia in a month. I also wasn't told what food ingredients to look for or to avoid. Just to give kitty what I had been giving her, over the counter senior food, and feed her when she wants to eat. But hyperthyroid cats apparently have different dietary needs, I learned later via research. I did ask about supplements and fish oils were suggested, but my cat won't eat them. I am still left with unanswered questions. Response Time ___ The front office gets back to you typically within 24 hours via email. The vet took about 1 week via email, then 1 day. But after that, no response. Ease of Communication ___ You can reach them via phone or email. I felt very comfortable speaking to the vet and people in the office. However, my appointment felt rushed and ended up needing a follow-up call. Prior to my appointment, I was very clear that I had several concerns re: my senior cat's health. Due to Covid-19, I wasn't in the exam room, so speaking with the doctor happened the first time when I was in their parking lot, via phone. I was told that they were running behind. So the other half of my vet appointment happened after my cat was home, later than anticipated due to the vet being busy. I tried to get the main concerns mentioned in the first call. I did feel overwhelmed, just from all the health issues, and went with the vet's suggestions about what to do that day. Handling Pet ___ My cat didn't seem startled or scared after her visit, so that's good. However due to Covid-19, I wasn't in the office to witness any encounters. This office does see both cats and dogs. Appointment Availability ___ I had to wait 2 weeks for a cat appointment. They seem extremely busy continuously. Friendliness ___ They seem friendly, kind when you speak with them on the phone. Follow Up Communication ___ This is where things got frustrating, via email. The doctor responded after ~7 days. Then 2 more emails took place after that, but my concerns were not resolved. Topics were mentioned re: diet and oral health but they didn't go anywhere. I am unsure about what I am supposed to do on a daily or weekly basis. I learned on my own that iodine can be bad for a hyperthyroid cat and that fish foods have iodine, so poultry is better. Also, fillers in dry cat food can aggravate cats with this condition, and it's best to avoid carbohydrates and plant-based protein. Cost ___ The main exam was $56 as opposed to another vet office that was $98.

Took my cat here 10d after an emergency visit to an overnight hospital. I ran through a list of questions and Dr Fallen added a test to diagnose. This was good the follow through was exceptional. She called me twice to talk through the results and recommended solutions specific to my cat to help bring him back to full health. I’m taking my new puppy there next week and look forward to a long relationship with AVH.

It was very clear about the process to take with the dogs and they were very sweet with them. Speaking to the Vet was good too and follow up was prompt. Thank you!

Two years ago I had to say goodbye to my best friend of almost ten years, Dr. Amaral was beyond kind and did a home visit for the procedure so my dog could leave us in the most comfortable place she could. She was an absolute angel and just sat with us as we said our goodbyes, no rush, no fuss, just compassion and love as we sent our sweet girl off. I couldn’t ask for a better vet for my girl, they are worth every penny and have real love for their work. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Such a well run veterinary service! Everyone is compassionate and caring. Dr. Stallings and Dr. Hart are very knowledgeable and conscientious, making follow up phone calls to clients, providing test and treatment feedback. Best veterinary care in Sonoma.

Thank you for seeing my outdoor cat and discussing essential care and tiered care for her when her chin was severely swollen. Dr. S was SUPER and gave info and care promptly and clearly. Also, all the COVID-19 precautions you have in place are very professional and appreciated!

From the first time I took my new rescued dog to be checked out they were the most caring staff! Test results indicated my dog had a serious infection. My vet called me with the results. We were in the middle of a major rain storm. The vet didn’t want me out in bad weather and instead dropped off the medication supplies to my home! That’s the kind of attention they give to all their fur clients (and humans alike).

Do you have a dog with separation anxiety? If you do, I highly suggest you see Dr. Hart. I have been so impressed with the level of care from Dr. Hart. Our dog has a very tough case of separation anxiety which has been treated unsuccessfully by other vets over the past 2 years. He had become frantic every time we left the house. Other vets shamed and blamed us, as if we somehow caused this to happen. Then we met Dr. Hart who dove into our case history and has made numerous calls for consultations with pet behaviorists and to us to try to resolve his anxiety. She has been extremely flexible and supportive in her approach, and has been adjusting medications with us and monitoring his progress over the past year. Dr. Hart gave us our lives back and Woody is a much calmer dog now who is enjoying his life much more. He is still anxious, but not to the same degree. She is the only doctor we met who really cared and understood our situation. Thank you, Dr. Hart, and the entire staff for everything you have done to help us! We are forever grateful. :)

I have to say I am very happy and impressed with the level of personal care and attentiveness. Our pup cut her front paw pad open and needed to be seen immediately. They fit us right in and let me stay with her during the exam and suturing. I would highly recommend Arroyo.

I am so thankful for Arroyo Veterinary Hospital! They really saved the day yesterday. Our pup ate some fertilizer and we were frantically looking for a vet open in the area to help with the emergency. Even though they were super busy, and even with quarantine, they were so accommodating and helpful. They helped us RIGHT away. They took precautions to keep everyone safe during quarantine and made me feel comfortable leaving our dog in their hands. They called us to update us from the car every few minutes, they checked in to inform us of pricing and get permission to perform procedures, and they were so professional. They even called today to check up on our dog and make sure she was doing well. Everyone was exceedingly kind and overall, I was just so grateful they were able to help our pup get through her mishap! Thank you Arroyo Vet!
