It's been hit or miss for me lately getting super worms for my bearded dragon. They always have meal worms as a back up. The super worms from Kahoots are always gigantic and very healthy. Been a rumor that the breeding program has been having issues this year.

We came with a newly adopted puppy and were walked through recommendations from food to toys to crates. Despite our puppy peeing on the floor in the middle of our trip (sorry again!), the associate remained extremely friendly and helpful throughout. An incredibly positive experience!

Dropped my dog food right in my car.

The staff is so so friendly. They bring your heavy stuff to your car and load it for you. They are kind and considerate. Tonight a very not tall young lady helped me and a very tall man brought my stuff to the car right before closing. I didn't even realize they are about to close until just now as I write this review by my car they didn't hurry me or anything.

Absolutely would not recommend shopping here as there are so many other places that actually care about their customers. Today i read the new FDA report listing several dog foods that could potential cause heart disease in large breed dogs. I had purchased one of them about 1 week ago so i wanted to see if i could exchange it for a brand that i had used before and wasn't on the list. Upon arrival i said " hi, i don't know if you can do anything about this but i just read the new FDA report regarding" .....He cut me off and in a super passive aggressive tone said, "oh, you mean the one that says .00000000..........." i cut him off and said "well when you love your dog you don't take the risk" He scoffed at me and said this was done over a 5 year period and only 24 dogs have died on the brand i was referencing. Now i didn't even care about a refund as i had just gone in to find out if their policy would allow an exchange and if not no biggie i would buy a new one but the way this guy was acting was ridiculous. I said never mind and that i would shop elsewhere. I recommend Dexters in Del Mar. They are super friendly with great prices and 0 attitude.

I love this pet store! It appears to be family owned and the employees are extremely friendly and helpful. They have so many varieties of toys for cats that I don't see anywhere else. I'm glad to see so much variety for all kinds of animals here, even birds and small mammals. Prices are extremely reasonable and quality of products are good. Would definitely shop here again.

Whenever I'm in San Diego I seem to be near a Kahoots. I had some free time waiting to be picked up after lunch and went in to check it out. I got some nice treats for my sister's dogs and a cute toy to take home for one of my pups. He's still playing with it weeks later.

This Kahoots store was my favorite. Besides Escondido. They used to sell the most adorable rabbits! I would always stop get few things after trip to TJ Maxx.

My favorite pet store. Locally owned and operated from what I remember. Prices always seem less than the other largest chains. I love their brand of pet foods. We use a cat and a dog food with their name. They carry many other brands also of course. Caring, knowledgeable staff. Guarantee on their products. Samples to try it first. This one is near Marshall's, Staples and Discount Tires. Parking is good.

Clean, attractive displays, with helpful and pleasant personnel. Thankfully, no animals for sale.

Excellent customer service, and I mean it, the employees are really nice, and very easy to talk to, and I was able to find everything I needed, and they had pretty good recommendations too when it came to catnip.
