Park Animal Hospital Simi Valley, California

I live across the valley and I’ll drive to this pet hospital because of their caring and professional service. My doggy passed away in July and they were so sympathetic and caring about my loss. Now, I was given a new puppy and they welcomed my new fur baby with so much joy and congratulating me on my new addition. Such a friendly staff. My puppy will always be coming here.

They are so good here, very caring. Last week my pup went in to have her glands expressed and she came out fine, not anxious, and she didn't seem sedated at all.

I wanted to thank Dr. Sarah and the staff for all their support during a difficult visit. My cat had kidney disease for many years and it was finally time to make that difficult decision. They were kind, caring and patient. When you have to make a decision like this for a beloved pet and companion, they couldn't have been more compassionate and understanding and for that I want to thank everyone for their support.

Helped my pup when he had some severe allergies, they set aside some food for him when a shipment of sensitive dog food came in which was really kind. Will be returning!

Dr. Cohen performed Surgery on Littlebit around March, Rex and are so Happy She's Happy, I Cook Her Meals every night, And She's Gaining weight, I Keep a Very Close Eye on Her We Have Coyotes Up Here, And She Thinks she's TOUGH enough To Take one on, Anyway Thanks So Much For your Service And See You In January, ♡♡♡

Dr Sara has been incredible and I appreciate her willingness to help our sweet Bailey as she goes thru 2 unfair diseases.... myasthenia gravis AND Mega E........ She helped me navigate a new medication plan and her support means the world to me and my family. She is professional and extremely kind. I would highly recommend her as a vet to anyone looking for the best care for their pet. Thank you for everything Dr Sara!

Absolutely the best Veterinarian care I have ever experienced. Great location, plenty of parking. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Matt is Amazing. Performed my dog's surgery and she came through without any complications. I wish I had found this hospital years ago instead of wasting thousands at the "other place". This experience was like a breath of fresh air. I never knew that Veterinary care could be so enjoyable, instead of like a trip to the DMV. I highly recommend this vet, hands down the best Veterinary Care available.

Drove from Hollywood to this place and very happy we did. Pricing was reasonable, and when we showed up a little early for our appointment, they took us in anyway. All staff was smiling and friendly, and the Doc was very thorough and attentive to all our questions. Will be going here from now on, regardless the distance.

Our little poodle terrier Bambi was attacked by a coyote in our backyard on Sunday morning. We were turned away from 4 pet hospitals because they had no one to see her. Also We walked into Park Animal hospital before they were open, and they took her in. They were the first hospital to give COMPASSION!! I burst into tears. They were so gentle with her and gave her so much love, affection. Kept her calm and comfortable which made me feel calm and hopeful. I recommend them to EVERYONE I see!!! This place is awesome. I was worried about my cat Jack, I thought he might have an obstruction and this was my first ER visit with him. For some reason I went to 2 different Vets before this one and they both said they are booked full and couldn't see me. I came here and they also told me they are booked but they still made time to see me, and not only that but it was super quick. And the doctor and everyone was very very friendly and helped to keep my calm and just made this whole thing much easier to deal with.

I had to put my dog down the hardest thing ever to do in my life and they were excellent they were so awesome and caring and walked us through the whole thing it was just amazing how these people are I was very impressed with their professionalism

I had a minor emergency with my puppy. Every place I called was booked for the day and couldn't see her. Park Animal Hospital worked her into their schedule and saw her right away. I live in Camarillo but would travel to Simi to use their services again. Friendly, helpful and accommodating.

I'm revising my original rating from 5 to 4 stars. I've been going to PAH for about 8 years now. It's been my experience over the years that PAH provides good veterinarian care. I feel that most of the DVMs at PAH are good at what they do. I decided to revise my rating because, where PAH provides quality care, I do think PAH has lost some of its personal touch that it has had in previous years. Two years ago a lost my sweet Retriever mix to cancer. He was being co-treated by both Dr. Hana and Dr. Rasmussen (both, no longer with PAH). When I had to let my sweet guy go, Dr. Rasmussen reached out to me to express her condolences by phone and by a nice card. Likewise, Dr. Hana also reached out to me regarding the loss of Brownie. Recently, I noticed my sweet, 9-year old Black lab mix had swollen glands in her neck. I brought her in to PAH where one of the DVMs suspected lymphoma, which was then confirmed from a biopsy. The DVM recommended an oncological consult. Those of us who have been in this difficult situation know the costly expense of oncological treatment for canines. I had to make the heart breaking decision to make my sweet girl as comfortable as possible for her remaining days. I notified her DVM of the decision that I had made. My sweet girl has been gone for 2 weeks now. About 5 weeks went by from the time of her diagnosis, to the time she left me. During that period, it would have been nice if PAH had reached out to me, at least every couple of weeks, to touch base with me regarding my pup's status. I know it's a business, and the DVM's and staff are extremely busy, but I personally miss the PAH of the Dr. Hana era.

my dog had an infected ear and I had taken him to his regular vet who never seems to be there anymore i was not allowed in with my dog because of covid except they could not explain their reasoning. They called me in my car and said they wanted to put him to sleep to clean his ear. She claimed that three trained techs could not hold him. They also put a muzzle on him. this has never happened before. I said bring me my dog and leave him alone. I went to Park Animal Hospital and they were amazing. Beautiful waiting room and sweet and helpful front office staff. Dr. Kang allowed me to hold my dog while she cleaned his ear. We were given some meds and ear drops and on our way. I had my file transferred to them from my vet of 20 years. Outstanding place of business. Kathie Hockenberry

They have always been there for my extended family. They handle animals with care and are clear with communication and planning.

Caring folks here. First time with Dr. Mat and really liked him. He's good with my pets.

This place used to be absolutely amazing. And to a certain degree they can still be good. After going here for over 10 years, had my first emergency where my dog could not walk, wasn’t taking fluid or food. They would not take us, rather they kept to the script of “I’ll refer you to emergency clinics” (that don’t open until 4!) No understanding, no care, no compassion. I read other reviews about how new patients get in last minute but guess if you are an older patient, your animal is expendable. I was so frustrated I dropped the F bomb which I regret but they have now already lost my business anyway. So sad, this place used to be so good under Dr. Hanna, when they actually cared about animals. Well I found another vet at the corner of Erringer and Royal, who was also booked but after explaining the situation they said he will find a way to see my dog today. Only come here for routine things is my suggestion. Because if it is an emergency, you will not be seen.

We have been going to Park Animal Hospital for about 15 years. When it was owned by Peter Hanna. This was the best place to take your pet. They had the best service and everyone really cared. Now that it is run by a corporation they have high turnover and the service is horrible. For example, last Wednesday I had put in a request to have my dogs insulin prescription ordered. Still today (Monday...5 days) it has not been ordered. Luckily Walmart said I had one refill on a prescription from Dr. Hanna years ago but they said they would fill it. I am so unhappy with this place now. Will be looking for a new vet for my dogs.

We love the whole team at Park Animal Hospital! We have bringing our cat Neko (and now Puppy Groot) for probably 7-8 years, and every experience has been warm. Everyone on the staff is kind, patient and never rushing through anything, no matter how busy the place seems. We recommend Park Animal Hospital to all of our local pet owner friends!

My dog Lucy woke up unable to open her eyes, lethargic and not wagging her tail (which is not like my Lucy). Was referred to Park Animal Hospital by my friends at All Pro Bicycles (fantastic bike shop by the way!). From the beginning the staff was so very helpful. They came out to my car and took Lucy inside to examine her (still being Covid cautious, which I appreciated). Received a phone call from the doctor, who was very patient explaining her diagnosis. Price for visit and meds was amazing as well. Best of all Lucy didn't want to leave! When does that ever happen when you take a pet to the vet! I am as picky with vets as I am people doctors, and highly recommend Park Animal Hospital. Thank you so much Park Animal Hospital!!
