I shop here multiple times a month with my dog and by myself. No one ever greets me or us. No one ever offers assistance. Always shortstaffed. Cashiers are incredibly not helpful- my dog was getting antsy waiting in line so when it was finally my turn he was pulling. This is something I'm working on with him. My reusable shopping bag got twisted with the lead so i was only able to place one item and I worked on getting the rest of the stuff out. The cashier said the total, without ever really looking at me or what I had. I was clearly, embarrassingly, struggling. I should've just walked out with the rest. I corrected him and placed the rest of the items out on the counter. He did the transaction, asked if I needed a bag. My reusable shopping bag was open on the counter, visible and within reach. I said no thanks I have a bag and he proceeded to stare at the line behind me. While I was doing what I needed to do on the pin pad he could've placed the items in the bag, if he was that worried about the line forming. Anyway. It's never a great or good experience here. I shop here solely out of convenience (its on my work route). I go out of my way to shop at the Golden Valley Petsmart.

I only shop at 582 for convenience because I live close. I worked there many years ago. The store really went downhill. Absolutely no customer service! The employees look at customers and walk right by. I've been disappointed every time I go in there. Customer service used to be number 1 when I worked there. I worked there in retail for 7 years and it takes a lot for me to leave a negative survey but I'm tired of begging for service.

all right. Petco needs to staff better at the register. On multiple instances i've been there there has been 4-8 people in line, cashier calls for back up... no one showed up.

For live crickets, ask an associate. All the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.

Brought out husky for a bath and comb out and they did a very good job. As for grooming a husky, I'm impressed.

Our tour guide was informative and funny. We really enjoyed the tour. He was also very kind and helpful...my husband has mobility issues and was using a motorized wheelchair. He only recently started using it and is still learning it's limitations. Unfortunately the hill there was a bit too much. Our guide helped us get the chair down the hill and then arranged for us to be driven back up while he walked the chair up. He took it all in stride and never made us feel like we were a bother. Oh....and the coffee was GREAT! Loved it!

Little pricier on some items than buying them from Walmart or even your local grocery store, but it's where I adopted my baby kitties from 3 weeks ago, and for that, I love this Petco!

Super friendly staff, clean store (posted 4 years ago) Edit: I dropped 2 stars off my previous 4 star rating because their flea & tick medicine near the register is such a mess all the boxes were in the wrong place the cashier and I ended up scanning all the $30-40 single dose boxes and they kept coming up at over $50. The cashier said they must all be in the wrong spot, so please get it together because I walked out without buying any. It shouldn't be so disorganized that every box is in the wrong price spot, unless you're intentionally trying to mislead the customers to spend more money under false pretenses.

It was easy to do pick up but it was a bummer that I couldn't use manufacturer's coupon. They have reasonably priced items. They would sometimes have sale priced items so take advantage of it. I purchase their generic brand pet food “Wholehearted” and price for content is awesome. When you purchase online and pick up at the store, they sometimes have deals like 25% off of all purchased amount. I recently used “Spend $50, get $20 Egift card” deal. Also they give you discounts if you do scheduled delivery to your home.

Friendly, quick, easy and so very convenient. I feed 2 wild squirrels and it is so hard to find raw peanuts that I can go and pick up. Thank you for being a GREAT pet store.

I work at a local store and we have a "mascot," Daisy a 5 year old Red Eared slider. Well came into work yesterday and saw that her tank was leaking! So me and ten guys at yeh shop strated looking for tanks to replace the leaking one. That was becoming a bit of a pain as the ones for the personals were either too big too small, didn't have a stand or too far away. So with that I decided to look at retail stores. With that I went to Petco to see I hat they had because I knew how far away they were from the store. I saw a tank with the best gallon amount. I then, because Petco listed all the spec's for the tank, was able to measure my existing base and got one that fit and only had to drive 20 minutes from the store to get it. I have been to this Petco quite a bit over the years but I just run in, grab what I need and run out! But because some one had to stay at the store and work on the leaking tank. So I decided to use the "puck up order feature." One of the other guys went and picked up the tank. I have not done this before, so ordering was surprisingly easy. But I was a tad uncertain about having someone else pick up my order. But three was an actual feature for that! So with that my co-worker was able to pick up the tank for me was I was at work. He said that was easy. But when we got the tank it had a crack in it. I called about the crack, and had the tank switched out for one without a crack and no headache at all! My co-worker did not have a receipt, the CC the tank was purchased with was with me at the store and Jessy made it easy! We got the new tank, got it set up and Daisy did not have to spend the night in a oversized Tupperware container! Thanks for making this potential disaster not a disaster!

This store is well organized, the staff is courteous and professional, and the one time I was there when the checkout line started to get a little backed up, the cashier called for assistance and another staff member came in quickly to assist. The only difficult thing about this store is the parking lot, which is something that Petco unfortunately has no control over.

Sam (cashier) was very helpful and informative. Excellent customer service. Always a great store to visit. Lots of options for dog/cat & fish supplies. Always stocked, great customer service.

Puchased food and shampoo for my new Shih Tzu puppy. Everything went well. It's a big store and have plenty of choices around. They have nice customer service rep who assisted us chose the right food for this new pup so no hassle then. ????????
