Though it was for sad reasons, that I last went here, I have to give them credit for their understanding of my pets last moments. My 14 year old cat's health was failing fast, and just couldn't suffer any longer, because of me. The morning that I just knew, I called them up. I live on a limited amount of money, and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to pay. ($126.00) . That was for euthanasia and cremation. They also offer your ashes back and a plaster paw print also but that wasanother hundred dollars.I was able to get her in that day. Even though they were busy, they were able to fit me in. They have a special room, that has an outside garden, so you can pick which spot you wanted to say good bye in. I picked the garden. The vet came out , gave her a sedative , than the other also went into her i.v. It was very quick. Painless. They give you as much time before and after. Made the sorrowful event a little easier.

Nicest staff. Super experienced veterinarian, really knows how to take care of and handle my little Ricky.

They saved a TJ puppy brought in a South Bay parking lot. It was too young and showed Parvo the 2nd night. Don't make a parking lot purchase of a pet.

I had called nearly every vet in town after my own vet ignored all of my calls for over a week. The soonest appointment I could get was a week out at Cuyamaca Animal Hospital. I booked it on the off-chance I couldn’t see a vet sooner. Turned out, nobody could see my cat for that whole week. I’m so glad, because I have found my new vet here. My cat was angry and wild the morning of his visit, wanted no part of the carrier or car ride. I warned the doctor, but he gently got the cat out of the carrier, and my cat was instantly calm and comfortable for the entire visit. I believe Dr Kanholm is a cat whisperer! He also relieved my worries about the cat, treated him and now we are both feeling much better!

Excellent service excellent performance the doctors are great the veterinary hospital is great I have nothing More to say.

THE BEST. They love our family members, they sent us a sympathy card when we had to put our sweet cat down. They reach out to make sure all is well after vaccines, etc. I couldn't pray for a better facility for my cats!

Very professional and kind staff. They always treat my dogs wonderful, even when I could not go in with them because of covid, they had no issues handling my German Shepard who is sometimes skiddish. Also, they always call to follow up on your pet after a visit.

Dr Martin, and everyone on staff is amazing. I am very grateful to everyone who has helped take care of my cat. The hardest part of owning a pet is making the decision to let them be free of there suffering and Cuyamaca Animal Hospital made me feel supported in that choice. Everyone was incredibly sympathetic, compassionate and thoughtful. I will never take a pet anywhere else. Lola and I were Always shown the upmost respect, and everyone took time to explain situations, and just give a personal touch to every interaction. Thank you very much to everyone for everything they’ve done.

Excellent service! They really love what they do and it shows. Dr. Kanholm checked out our elderly pug today. Couldn't be happier with his dedication to our little guy. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone in need of quality care.

Dr. Lori Martin has significantly improved my cat's quality of life. The previous vet was unable to diagnosis and treat her as effectively (my kitty has a very uncommon medical condition). Dr. Martin specifically went out of her way to do additional research and provide exceptional service for my cat. Additionally, every staff member I've encountered at Cuyamaca Animal Hospital has very friendly, attentive, and compassionate both toward both me and my cat. The artist who painted cats and dogs throughout the facility also did a fantastic job in creating a cute and welcoming environment. Attached is a photo of my precious baby trying to hide behind a monitor in the vet office.

Tommy found the entire visit to be calming and all the humans very pleasant. His owner felt the same, with Dr. Kanholm and staff alleviating his concerns about Tommy's condition.

Dr Martin is the only Dr. our Dogs go to been going at least 25 years. Great caring Staff.

Great anamial care. They listen to all your concerns and are very caring, gentle and knowledgeable. Let's face it I know it's our dog but it is no different than a small child where I expect the same care and and they provide the best. Please don't go anywhere else.

We have been taking all of our animals, dogs and cats, for years. We love all the vets, all the team members and the facility. Every vet trip weather routine or unscheduled has been great and beyond our expectations.
