Wonderful and clean facility. Large play yards and all day play! Heated kennels for overnight boarding. Was recently purchased by the lead director of the Humane Society so ran with positive reinforcement and enrichment.

They do not let the dogs have water. Also they are very rude people. Especially Stephanie. I talked to other people who saw them being abusive. This place should be shutdown!!!

We went for an evaluation and the dogs loved the place. I found the staff and the director to be exceptionally professional. We had to postpone our trip so boarding will happen later but I doubt my opinion will be changed. I'm confident the dogs will get exceptional care.

Shadowed there 1 time. Awful place. They use shock collars and will tie dogs up for hours at a time with NO WATER. They carry heavy chains around and if the dogs make a noise they hit the metal fence

Heaven on Earth for dogs and their owners. The staff shows great care for our dog and the training we received is priceless. Olivet Kennel has been our go to destination for all of our dogs and their needs from training when they were a puppy, to day care, and boarding when we go on vacation. This is the only place that I trust with my dog.

Just be careful of the use of bark collars and not letting owners know.

READ THIS If your Dog is IMPORTANT and CONSIDERED A FAMILY MEMBER!! I have been a customer of Olivet Kennel for well over a year. I am not being paid or endorsed to write about Olivet Kennel. I am merely writing out of gratitude for Outstanding Care for my dog. I was faced with boarding my Labrador due to my work schedule. I am gone for two straight days per week, every week. I have no alternative to keep my dog other than to board him. I didn't want to face the idea of having to give him up, and find a new home for him. I researched all of the kennel options in my area, Windsor Ca. Based on reviews, I took my puppy to Olivet for a pre screening which I felt was completely appropriate based on my concern about leaving him in someone else's care. I was worried about him being with aggressive dogs, or unattended dogs etc. He was evaluated and deemed a good fit for their care. I am probably considered "over protective" to say the least. After touring the grounds and seeing the exceptional grounds and cleanliness of Olivet Kennel, it was an easy choice. Over the years he has ben regularly boarded at Olivet Kennel, I have been nothing less than extremely satisfied with his care. The entire staff, as well as the ownership has proven to be "above and beyond" my expectations. Sapir, the owner, has not only helped me with several dog owner questions, but has gone the extra mile to always make my dogs stay the best in class. It is not often you find this kind of service or comfort when leaving your loved one in someone else's hands. I can say that I recommend Olivet to everyone I come into contact with that owns a dog. The entire staff from the front office (Stephanie and Sheila) right down to the grounds keepers, are amazing. I am given a report on my dogs health, stay, etc. before I leave. I know my dog loves being there because he pulls my arm off when I drop him off with the excitement that he is happy to be there. I leave feeling 100% assured he is in the best care away from home that I can provide. I even hear about his best friends that he's made. I feel honored to have my dog cared for by such caring people. It is clear that everyone there has a love for what they do. Thank you for reading this short story, but I feel that giving recognition to those that care for my beloved family member while I am at work is the least I can do. Olivet is truly a first class facility, and I feel lucky to have found them.

Olivet Kennel & Dog Training is truly a wonderful place to board and place your dog in daycare! We have worked with many kennel facilities around the Bay Area and the facility and staff is 5 star. From the moment you walk into their facility you know your pet will be taken care of by employees who truly care about your pet while you are away. Olivet Kennel also gives back to GGLRR by holding free training so the volunteers and adopters can make better pet owners.

I have been taking my doggies here for 23 years! I have done the training with Sapir for two of my dogs (Weimaraner and a Vizsla.) It was the best thing I ever did! I trust them completely with my babies. Now I have s little 4lb rescue Chiahuahua and after taking her once a week for three months- through socialization with the best trainers and dog lovers/ she is so much more adjusted and trusting. This IS the BEST place to bring your fur baby!! Stephanie, Wendy, Sapiir, Jane -everyone there - I love you all! Thank you for being so kind and caring and simply DOG lovers!!!!!!!!!

Today I brought my 2 dogs to Olivet Kennel for a boarding assessment. I was greeted immediately by Kendra who gave me some literature to review as I waited for a tour of the facility. Stephanie showed me around and was very helpful, answering all my questions. I left 'the girls' with the Olivet team for a few hours so they could get a sense if the dogs were good boarding candidates. When I returned Stephanie shared their assessment with me and, as it turns out, boarding is not the best situation for my dogs. Stephanie was direct, but very polite - I felt like she was doing me a favor. I want to commend Olivet on their approach to dog daycare & boarding. They are not all about the money, which I found very refreshing. They are truly interested in the well-bieing of the dogs. If you need daycare or boarding for you canine family member, Olivet Kennels should definitely be on you list of places to look at.

We used this Kennel twice. The first time that we used them we had a great experience. We have two german shepherds. Like most german shepherds, our dogs have allergies and stomach issues. It was made clear to the staff that our dogs had to be restricted to the food that we brought and no other. Our second time leaving the dogs at the kennel, we were told that "the dogs were great dogs...they had a great time...love them". One dog was thrilled to see us, my other dog they had to lift and put in the back of the car. I asked about this because I thought it odd and was told he was just tired from racing around. On the way home and not 30 minutes from the kennel, the dog in question threw up white foamy stuff in the car. I pulled over at a park and got him water and tried walking him around. He wanted to drink water but immediately threw it up. He also had no desire to walk. I lifted the scruff of his neck and it kind of just stood up. I called the kennel and spoke with an employee that was of no use whatsoever. "He was perfectly fine while here..." I got the dog into the vet that afternoon. He was "extremely" dehydrated. An ultra sound showed that there was zero trace of food or fecal matter in stomach or intestine. Furthermore, his colon was inflamed and showed signs of blood. My dog was brought over to pet emergency hospital where he stayed for 2.5 days. Our bill was over $2000. I spoke again with the kennel. And relayed the fact that the dog had to have been throwing up there and had to have had bloody stools there but they held fast to "he was fine". I also shared that both dogs were dehydrated and that the sick dog required multiple IV hydration packs. My husband and I had planned on going away and leaving the dogs with the kennel. After talking with our vet, we decided we could not risk jeopardizing the health of our dogs. We called to cancel. Admittedly, I was a few hours past 24 hr cancellation policy when I cancelled. And, yes, we had cancelled another time due to my having an MS relapse. However, we made it clear that we were cancelling due to their error and not ours. We never once asked to be reimbursed for medical costs--obviously the dog ate something bad while there and did not get proper hydration and had been vomiting and had loose bloody stools-- yet, they dinged us with a cancellation penalty and we lost our deposit because "policy is policy and we hold to that" . I would not recommend this kennel.

Every time I have to leave Red at Olivet he gets really excited as soon as he recognizes the place. It is a bit of a drive from where I live in San Francisco but it is completely worth it. It is affordable and they are very particular about my dog's needs. They do absolutely everything they can to make him comfortable. They are very aware of the whether or not your dog likes to play with other dogs, gets nervous around certain dogs, etc. Red is a young lab who has not been fixed yet. He has an enormous amount of energy and needs a lot of attention. He needs a lot of work. At Olivet that is not a problem at all. They pay close attention to him, match him with other dogs who have the same energy level and like to play and they make sure he gets a lot of time to run around. Jane and Sapir are wonderful people who live for all of their dogs. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and clearly every one has a passion for dogs. Red is returned to me clean, healthy and happy every time. There is not another place on the West Coast that I would trust with my dog over them.
