I had a great experience today when taking my lab in for a hurt paw. The Vet shared her initial assessments and recommendations, and was very respectful in considering alternative treatment options with cost considerations in mind. I have a very nervous lab who hates the vet, and she came out happy and excited when all was done.

My cat had diarrhea because he newly moved to our home. The first doctor gave us the exam result saying everything is normal. We mentioned his diarrhea to a different doctor for our second visit, new issue - sneezing, just to give her some context, in case anything was missed. Then she told the insurance saying my cat has a pre-existing condition, diarrhea…. I’m like what??? We paid total like $500-$600 in this hospital, and they have diagnosed nothing but now my cat has a pre-existing condition, diarrhea???? Will never come back again.

Overall best service I have ever experienced with a vet. I usually leave with more questions than answers, and a thinner wallet. My little guy was having some issues, and also needed a few things taken care of. My previous vet and other locations didn't have any appointments available for over a month. This place not only had an appointment available the following week, they called me a while later to inform me of an opening the following day! Fast foward a couple of weeks later, my little guys issue was fixed and healed, and the dr. followed up with a call to see how he was doing. Nobody has ever done that. The price was surprisingly affordable, and their service is spot on. I have been singing their praises to people I know. I am very happy to have found them. Thank you!

This review is long overdue. I have a rescue dog for 3 years and I absolutely love this vet. They’ve always been professional, friendly, and extremely caring. My dog has seen 3 different vets here (due to various scheduling conflicts on my end) and they’ve all been wonderful. I am also part of their care club, which allows me to bring my pup in whenever I get a little freaked out or worried about his health, and the staff has always been encouraging and so invested in his well-being. I originally went to a different local vet but wasn’t impressed and switched to VCA and haven’t looked back. Every little interaction is great.

The service was nice, it was all very professionally handled and COVID safe. Absolutely no complaints there. I went in with a kitten for the first time, so it was a very basic experience, so I can’t speak on how serious visits or emergencies are. The appointment was free with an online coupon but I ended up paying 55 dollars for some generic ointment that can be found online or at Walgreens for 10 bucks. I know that if I would’ve asked what was wrong and what was needed, they would’ve provided me that, I just wish I got some understanding or some papers reviewing how the exam went.

Our senior cat has been seen my the team at VCA Lawrence for over a year now and we are very happy with the detailed, skilled care they provide. Lab results are received quickly. The Dr's spend time explaining the results and making sure there is a clear understanding of the options available for treatment. The curbside service is convenient and easy. Our cat is typically brought inside for care within 5 minutes of arrival.

I have had multiple dogs come to VCA Lawrence, and every time I was given good service. They did tests to help me figure out why my newly adopted dog didn't want to eat and couldn't pee, and were very kind when telling me how sick he was. I will always appreciate the kindness they had for me then. They sent me all of his records and x-rays so I could confront the shelter on the amount of care they give their animals. They have helped my pitbull through the long process of fixing a fractured front leg. They absolutely love her, and she always comes home with new fun designs on her splint. I used to go to a vet in San Jose that overbooked themselves to the point that I couldn't get my elderly dog in to get a cough addressed for 2 whole weeks. VCA is very accommodating when there's something serious. I wish I had been using VCA when my elderly dog got sick because even though he had a tumor on his heart and didn't have much time left, I'm sure I could have gotten him into VCA much quicker and gotten him some relief. The staff is really friendly and can answer questions you have. I'm very happy with VCA Lawrence.

Keep away if you have an overly exited, squirmy or skittish dog or cat. In my opinion, they do not seem trained to handle them or they will simply give up them. They want easy and well behaved animals or animals heavily medicated or sedated. So think twice before falling for their "careclub membership".

They were able to accommodate a last minute appointment for a ripped / bleeding nail. Gave us instructions over the phone on how to stop the bleeding and transport her over comfortably. Was able to be seen within 10 minutes of arriving. Prices seemed on par with other vets in the area. Our corgi was seen by Dr. Gera and Chloe, both professional, friendly staff that seemed genuinely concerned about the health of our dog. In contrast, we called our original VCA (one we've been going to for the past 8 years) and they didn't even check with their doctors to see if there was a last minute slot for us ????

Worst experience, walked up mask on sanitized hands and cage. Was greeted by Alisha, who with a very rude and condescending attitude barked to "please leave the building" we are not allowing people inside". This admin needs a personality check. She has just lost a new client because of her rudeness.

Really disappointed in how they handled our most recent appointment. First of all, I can’t say how many times I’ve waited well over fifteen minutes in my car, in hot weather with an upset cat in order to be seen at this clinic. We arrived ten minutes late today with our cat sedated and they’ve made us reschedule our appointment requiring us to sedate our car again. The one time we arrive 10 minutes late and they cancel ours. Really disappointed.

On Jan 10th 2020 we had a sad , but great exp. at the VCA Hospital on Lawrence. Our long time Sweet Man of 16 years, Sammy needed to call it a life. This little dog took care of us for all these years. But it was clear he was suffering and this needed to stop. Dr Alison Barnstable , Ashley and Staff . were incredibly compassionate, professional and made sure Sammy did not suffer. The VCA folks were as heartbroken as we were. We can't thank Dr Barnstable and team enough. Sincerely, the Hiett's

I took my cat here to get a check up and to renew her flea pescription and since I didn't want to go back to the Santa Clara site since it was a bit farther I came here. They offered a coupon since it was our first time here and also gave us a free dose of her flea medicine! They were very nice and professional and would highly recommend!

The only vet I recommend visiting here is Dr. Park. She is really good with our dog and cat and prescribed us stuff that actually worked. She also cared about a realistic price and never gave us overpriced medicine that only works for a couple of weeks. I don’t mind the staff or vet technicians, but the actual vets at this establishment are downright money hungry. One in particular prescribed a pet diet that was in no way positively affecting our cat and was heavily priced. This same vet also repeated information we already knew, so we were basically charged for a vet appointment that had no impact on our pets. If you are going to schedule an appointment here, make sure it is Dr. Park, she’s the best they got.

Very slow. Most appointments waiting for over an hour including just a routine tech appointment. They only brought out my dog after I called them to inquire why it was taking so long. Need better system.

I had multiple negative experiences at VCA on Lawrence Expressway and I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. The recommended prescription diets: Royal Canin and Hills (Royal Canin is owned by MARS/VCA and Hills is owned by …

They were so sweet and understanding while caring for my Gypsy girl. I am deeply grateful I took my fur baby here and would highly recommend them!

We have boarded our cat for 3 years in a row, but no more. He developed a kennel cough and they refused responsibility even though acknowledging he likely acquired it there. The contract I signed allowed them to refuse responsibility. …

This is a great vet. Our cat has diabetes and kidney disease and Dr. Barnstable and the rest of the staff is there to help any time. Whether it is a diabetic crisis, or just a stupid question from a nervous caretaker, they always have time …

Amber the groomer, Joann at the front desk and the Vets at VCA Lawrence have been SO helpful with our Yorkie in this month's horrible flea epidemic (April 2016).

I'm wondering what all the other reviewers are talking about. I brought my new puppy in for her 1st and 2nd checkups and exams. The staff are marvelous and attentive. Everything was explained in detail. My baby girl was very excited and happy to be with each and every staff member. As for the costs, they are very competitive compared to other veterinarians I have visited for my other pets. All costs were fully explained in detail before any procedures were done. Absolutely wonderful service! Highly recommend!

Found out they overcharge for their service, most veterinarian hospitals/clinics don't add to cost of service like x-rays, lab works and surgery. VCA tack on extra charges that most veterinarian hospitals don't.
