BEWARE! I brought my dog who is super sweet but unpredictable with other dogs and has a history of getting into fights with other dogs here. Before I booked the appointment I made sure to tell them that she would need to be kept separate from other dogs for everyone's safety. They told me that wouldn't be a problem. However, when I picked her up she was with all the other dogs. She was clean and seemed happy so I chalked it up to a one time mistake/miscommunication. I brought her back a second time and this time was super adamant that she shouldn't be allowed to roam free with the other dogs. AGAIN when I picked her up she was. Thank god she was ok and as far as I know the other dogs were too- but this company is playing russian roulette by not listening to owners.

Best place to take your dog for nail clipping they only charge $5 but I give them $5 plus another $5 for tip.. all staff their are super friendly.. they also do other stuff to i would recommend this to whoever needs animal baths nails trims grooming for their animals .....

Were sweet people that loved on and cared for my cat. They got him in and out much faster than i planned. I am definitely bringing my cat back again.

My dog is a rescue. He has complete meltdowns over nail trims. Barbara had him done in 10 minutes with very little fuss. I can't even say that about my Vet's office!

I love A-1! I was recommended to them and I've been pleased ever since! I have a very old Cockapoo at 15 years old, with extreme separation anxiety. They assured me they would give her frequent breaks. The fact that let the dogs free roam and mingle really helps her remain calm. However they do have maybe 4 kennels just incase. Everytime I pick her up she's in a corner on a nice bed sound asleep. I can tell she had a relaxing time, and I'm happy they have a safe spot for her. They also do a phenomenal job! The cut, wash, nails, gland cleaning, everything is top notch! Highly recommend these ladies!

A-1 Laundromutt mistreats dogs. The groomers there cut and burned our dog severely. We trusted the groomers there to give our dog, Odom, a standard cut and wash, something you would expect most groomers to be capable of handling. When we picked him up we were horrified to see his body was covered with patches of seared skin (photos included below). We saw blood beneath his hair, raw flesh exposed, and a change in his formerly trustful demeanor. Odom is a very mellow, senior dog. He is completely cooperative with strangers so there is absolutely no reason for these allegedly accidental injuries. The groomers at A-1 are negligent to the point of bodily harm when brushing or blow-drying dogs’ hair. Additionally, the amount of blood that was most certainly shed during this mistreatment is a serious red flag for the sterility of this place of business. It took months for Odom to heal from the injuries inflicted by A-1 Laundromutt. The wounds on his neck became infected and required medical attention throughout his months-long recovery. Perhaps even more heartbreaking than these physical injuries was the emotional toll of the situation. Odom was uncomfortable and ashamed as he had to wear a cone for several weeks to prevent him from scratching at his wounds. Our once friendly family member became withdrawn and lethargic, uninterested in moving because of the pain it caused him. When confronted with the photos of Odom’s injuries, the owner of A-1 tried to quell our anger by quickly offering that his next haircut would be free. They were disillusioned to believe that a discount would make up for the terrible abuse our defenseless dog endured. We found it extremely telling that there was such an established prescription for responding to complaints of injuries inflicted by groomers. Even more telling was their failure to acknowledge the injuries on their own regard. We are posting this review to ensure that no dog ever has to endure this abuse. We feel terribly guilty for unknowingly subjecting him to easily avoidable pain. A-1 Laundromutt does not deserve anyone's business.

Great friendly service. Pups are allowed to roam free indoors/outdoors while they wait for their turn. Staff is knowledgeable and communicate clearly on what services you're getting and what you should expect when you pick up your pup. Easy downtown location near the daily grind, McConnell's ice cream, and several restaurants.

Kind and considerate of my old doggie. She's a "vocaliser" (screamer) and Barbara had her calm and complaisant after only 3 or 4 visits, something of a record. (her vet used to have to muzzle her).

BEWARE! My friends dog escaped without his collar while waiting to be groomed. Luckily he was found after 48 hours by Joe Martinez Pet detective and his team. It was a harrowing experience.

I've only taken my dog for nail trims as he has a thin coat and doesn't require much in the way of grooming. The staff in here is super friendly and always gets me in and out quickly. $5 nail trims, that price is unbeatable in this town!

Helped me get a large mat out of my cats fur. He’s very fussy and a biter, but she took him to a quiet room, kept him in his crate, and he was fine. Took about two minutes to get rid of the mat. You can tell they really care about the animals here!

My dog was traumatized here. Barbara said he was uncooperative and they couldn’t get him to calm down. He went in for a puppy cut and came home with only a shampoo. $50. Charged. Later we found a knot on his neck and going to the vet tomorrow. He’s a puppy golden retriever. Super cute and friendly. Wonder what really happened at this place. I wouldn’t recommend it . It’s super crazy and chaotic for humans and pets.

We’ve had dogs for 25 years, taking them to various groomers. This place did a good job, did exactly what we asked them to do and were reasonable. If your dog has dreadlocks ???? sometimes there’s no alternative but to cut them out.

Love A1! My white Maltese mix always comes out looking so white and cute! Best in town!

Pups are free range to explore, be social, and hang out in the yard when they're not being washed. Love it here

The Worst service Ever! I left my dog (cocker) for a bath and when I arrived to pick him up he was terrible. They cut his fur randomly and he was awful!!! I asked way they did something like that and the woman told me that he had a lot of knots and she couldn’t give him a bath!!!! But, way they didn’t call me to ask permission to cut the knots? Me and my family were shocked to what they did to our dog! It was cruel!!!! Definitely I don’t recommend !

Very knowledgeable groomer, and she's nice to dogs and people both. Occasionally the price differs from the last time or from what she quoted without warning, but I think she's fair.

My dog had the worst haircut of his life. They are very expensive and charged us an additional $15 because they said my dog was bad. He is a little hyper , but when you let 50 dogs run loose in the salon , what do you expect. I will never bring him back and will be telling others not to bring their beloved pets here.
