This was not the first time I had an unwell bird brought to this organization but it was the first time I brought one in myself. Staff has always been professional and friendly on the phone. Nice facility—I was only able to view the outside courtyard area because of the pandemic. Easy street parking. I called ahead and brought in an emaciated, female Bufflehead who couldn’t fly. After filling out a form at the entrance, I pushed the Ring button and someone came out right away to take in the poor bird. I received an ID number for the bird to check in on her status later. It was nice to visit with all the birds housed in the outside courtyard area. They are all beautiful. I was lucky enough to see a female Spotted Owl sleepily resting on a branch. Usually they are hiding during the day (I was told). Overall great experience and very glad this organization exists to help injured or sick wildlife.

Last Saturday we came home to find an injured bird at our back door. We didn't know what to do, but were referred to Wild Care and we bought in this bird into them and they were all super awesome. It's an amazing space with a number of rescued animals and birds there and the organization does so much else including teaching at schools. Very great place!

This is the thank you email that I just sent Wildcare: Please share my thank you with the head of your organization and the wonderful people who helped me. I brought an injured wild turkey to Wildcare this Saturday. He was laying by the side of the road in Walnut Creek. After making many unsuccessful calls I came upon Andrea at Wildcare. I was so relieved to have such a compassionate person who genuinely cared on the other end of the phone. When I got there the Doctor and another kind person helped me immediately. The Doctor looked at the turkey right away and came out to see me. She was so kind and caring. I really can't thank you enough. I didn't know your organization existed until today. I am glad I found you and I am grateful for the work that you do! Thank you!

What a gift to the community of local animals, and a treasure for us that they exist to serve the injured animals. Amd never met such a dedicated staff of committed individuals at the center. Looking forward to also supporting them with financial contributions as it's they need our economic support to keep going.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We brought in an injured bird which sadly didn't make it. If you bring an animal in, they offer the option of calling to let you know how the animal is doing and will even ask if you would like to be present for relocation of the animal you rescued. Love that they offer this.

I brought 2 birds into" Wild Care " in the past 2 months. Both times I went I was happy I brought them there. It was closed to the public because of covid. But they still except animals at the front gate. I was always greeted remedially and the process was easy. They are professional while being very friendly. I am happy to have a place to bring them.

I was on a jog and found an injured rodent laying helplessly on the ground. A person or an animal (probably an owl) had injured his spine, so he was unable to move his hind legs. I took him to Wildcare San Rafael, and they nursed him back to health and re-released him a month later. He turned out to be a rat, but he was so starved he looked more like a vole. They fattened him up and healed up his spine, and now he's running around enjoying life back in the woods where I found him. I will never forget how pathetic he looked when I first found him, and I won't forget how great a job Wildcare did rehabilitating him. My wife and I will be making a donation

Great wildlife rescue center. They have a small but lovely visitor center with all sorts of animal facts and exhibits. Really lovely people who care deeply about local Cali wildlife. Currently only available to drop off rescues because of Covid.

Our kid loves animals and we can't always take him to the Zoo. Wildcare gives us a great way to spend an hour and also talk to him about conservation and why it's important to care for animals.

WildCare is once again housing our birds evacuated from the Bird Rescue Center of Santa Rosa, due to wildfires. We are so grateful for their ongoing commitment to support wildlife, and network with other wildlife centers.

I found an injured crow at work and was sad to think he/she was going to die if I didn't do anything. Not knowing what to do, I started googling rescues and found WildCare. They had instructions on their website on how to handle the situation. I followed them and brought the bird to them. They were very friendly, knowledgable and welcoming. I felt confident that I left the crow in the RIGHT place. Thank you so very much Wildcare staff. I'm grateful you were there for the crow and me. Please donate to their cause. They are worth it for sure!!

I brought in an injured pigeon and found out a few days later that it had been shot by a pellet gun. Sadly, it had to be euthanized but the person who let me know was kind and explained everything that had been done to try and save the animal. I'm impressed that San Rafael has this wonderful resource and the people who working to help are all dedicated to treating and releasing the wildlife brought in back to their respective areas. Thank you WildCare.

A friend of mine recommended me to call them when a little tiny bird was stuck on my window, the woman that helped me was so kind, I believe her name was Susan. I got worried that the little bird was stuck because he was unbothered by my two cats and sat there for a really long time before starting to try to flap his wings. The woman on the phone was very calm and tried to talk me through what to do, when we started to get a plan together he flew away. She took the time to explain to me why the bird may have been stuck and confused, I really appreciated that because when everything turned out to be fine I felt a little silly. I’ve heard a lot of great things about WildCare from people that I’ve told this bird story to today, if you need help or advice with these situations they are definitely the people to call.

Well hidden sanctuary in San Rafael neighborhood. Once you enter you'll see a small exhibit of rescued wildlife living in enclosures that mimic their natural environment. For the most part these creatures cannot be returned to their native habitats due to their injuries.

I went with a group of my students to drop off a baby bird that was found on the ground all wet in the rain. We checked him in and they gave us a patient number so we can check in on him. Then we had the great opportunity to watch one of the staff with a spotted owl as she spoke about the beautiful bird with a small group. There are many kinds of animals from our area. Go check them!

They are taking compassionate care of ill or injured wildlife of all sorts and attempting to rehab them to the point where they can be returned to their original habitat. Kudos to all the staff and volunteers. There is a public viewing area of some of the treated wildlife including large birds of prey with information about them. Worth a visit.
