Hillary's Hound House San Rafael, California

Our new puppy went from terrified on her first day of school to extremely excited to get dropped off! With Hillary and team, she gained confidence, learned new skills, and was socialized with other puppies. I think of Hillary whenever she rings the bell to let us know she needs to go potty! The experience was very worthwhile and enjoyable for both puppy and humans.

My shy puppy and I walked into Hillary’s Hound House and were immediately put at ease. Hillary’s warm, gently nature with dogs of all kinds showed right away. She speaks softly and the puppies listen on the spot - it’s amazing to watch! After that initial meeting, we were excited to start Penny in Hillary’s puppy training program. But we had no idea how life-changing it would actually be for our shy pup. To begin with, Hillary spent an hour each morning during Penny’s first week inviting me to help make her comfortable, play games, and do recall with them. She went above and beyond to accommodate Penny’s shy nature. And I’ve seen her do this with other pups too! Hillary is a true gem in the puppy world. She is a real live dog whisperer! After a few weeks, Penny made puppy friends, more of her personality came out, and she absolutely fell in love with Hillary and Hannah, and the rest of the team. It was so wonderful to see Penny come out of her shell and be happy with someone outside of our family. We extended her time to 6 weeks, and she has now graduated from the Hound House but we all miss it very much! This team is a stellar group of dog lovers. Truly, you won’t regret signing up!

Hillary and her team are amazing trainers and they love all of the puppies in their care. Our puppy started at nine weeks old and she learned recall like a pro, basic commands and had a lot of socialization with other puppies. I’m so grateful for Hillary’s Hound House for giving our puppy such a great start in life!

We’re just walk in to ask for classes, because we adopted a puppy a few days ago, my son was excited but he didn’t understand why we went there, and the lady I don’t know if she’s the owner was RUDE! Don’t even explain or ask about the class just because my son said something wasn’t involved classes she just basically kick us out horrible person and bad BAD attitude. She makes my son feel upset. We brought our 3 month old lab to Hilary who has done an amazing job. We wondered if it was too late for the program to be of benefit, but Hillary has showed it was not. He is so much better behaved and more important, loving. Don't hesitate to bring your pup here!

We love Hillary and her Hound House. And so does our dog Walter. He is so polite and lovely when we take him out in public, which is often. He so sweet with people, doesn’t jump, greets with kisses and happy tail. He is equally appropriate when meeting other dogs..we get a lot of compliments on his demeanor. Thanks to Hillary and her crew for all of their work with him.

Hillary & her staff are the best! They have an amazing approach to working with puppies - a perfect mix of loving affection and firm boundaries. Our puppy learned potty training and the commands for sit & down during her time at the Hound House. She is also very good at recall. We are so grateful to Hillary & her staff for helping us through our puppy’s earliest (& most challenging) stages. It was a huge help to us and provided a wonderful foundation for our puppy. Hillary is an amazing trainer and a person! We used her Jump Start Puppy services from day one with our Cockapoo, Champ. Hillary is an amazingly gifted trainer! She trained both of my dogs, a highly sensitive golden retriever & a dachshund, who was house broken in 2 weeks by ringing bells (a miracle), thanks to Hillary!
