The staff at Harbor are the kindest, the most thoughtful and professional staff I have ever interacted with at an animal shelter. Head down to Harbor, and they will make you feel like you are in a small town.

We found a dog not that long ago and we went there to find it some home and now that same dog has a owner:)

One year ago on Jan 10, 2021 we came here to adopt this 7 year old cutie. Having adopted dogs in the past, it was definitely a different experience because of Covid protocols, but all the staff we talked with were very nice and helpful both on the phone and at the location! We are so incredibly happy to have found our now 8 year old furbaby. He has completely transformed from when we first adopted him, and it’s just amazing to have that experience with him. Our goal was to adopt a senior dog and Harbor care made that happen! Thank you!

Don’t show up 20 minutes early for an appointment they will make you stand in the rain.

Loved the way they handled my dog. Often times people see him and get scared. The young lady that came to get him was very assertive and Prince just followed her like nothing.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. From the initial scheduling of the appointment to the day of surgery. Received intake paperwork prior to appointment so check-in was fast and easy on the day of. Handled my fur baby with care, which made me feel at ease leaving him. Gave a courtesy call after the procedure was done just to give me an update of how he was doing and when he would be ready for pick up. Very thorough instructions upon pick up and patience to answer any questions you may have . Thank you for your service!

Rescued two puppies from here 10 years apart and both times it has been great!

Like all the reviews i’ve seen on here the volunteers and workers here care about their animals. I adopted “Garfield”(cat) and Julia was extremely nice and knowledgeable about telling me about them, even going as far as to write things down for a first time cat owner like myself. If you want to adopt…this is the place.

A great place to get a cat or a dog. They all get spayed, shots and dewormed. My two kittens were free!

This summer I found a stray dog. After searching for months for an owner, I had to accept that Buddy was now my responsibility. The financial impact was heavy just coming off reopening my business. My regular vet quoted $600 ro neuter him. SNPLA got it all done, vaccinations and neuter for $200. It was still a hit to my budget. I paid my vet for an exam and bloodwork because she was cheaper in that area and every dollar counted. Buddy's neutering went fine. We also donated about 15 dog beds to the shelter next door to help those poor babies with the cooling weather.

In December it will be 1 year since I picked up my baby bun from Harbor. The staff was really nice, they showed true concern and care for my bunny’s life after leaving the shelter. The outtake process wasn’t time consuming and they were very happy for her. I hope they see this. SHES DOING AMAZING! She’s the happiest bun and I’m so grateful for her. THANK YOU!

Came here because we found an injured raccoon at Cabrillo Beach. Over the phone and in person we were blatantly lied to as they said they would do everything in their power to try to save it before they would resort to drastic measures. We called the next day and then were told that they never take care of wildlife and it had been immediately euthanized. If that's the case don't say otherwise! You say you care about animals but apparently only cats and dogs apply. Boooooo

Best place to get your cat or dog fixed. The nurses are super nice and helpful, I recommend them to every pet parent I know.

Real nice selection of furniture. Extremely nice and helpful staff. They don't follow you around trying to make you buy something your not looking for like they do at Ashley. And their quality is not cheap made like Casa leaders. When I did have any questions they were there to help me and showed me a few different couches that came close to what I was looking for. I did end up finding a really nice firm sofa that sat up high.

I'm usually doing the sharing and Carrie and I shouldn't be awaring shame on me for daring but I have a question are any of these dogs free if they're supposed to be rescued I thought I heard somebody say they bought a dog but they kind of misspelled it they put a hard between the O thO lol when I shouldn't be laughing thO! Just a poor upcoming rap artist from Compton! Just trying to say whoop to my neighbors save me a little pooch if I can save them and thank you

Good experience, great price on vaccinations. But you need to know what you are doing and also what you are there to get. Do know what shots you need for your pet, this is not full service vetenary clinic. But you cant beat the low cost.

Still closed during the week without an appointment. Open for walk ins on the weekend. Had a fairly easy time rescuing our newest dog. The entrance to the shelter is at the far end from the parking lot.

Got my boys Thor and Loki fixed here and it was very affordable. They took amazing care of my kittens and they healed up quickly
