My girl dog is a bit of a "drama queen" when it comes to getting her nails cut. Chrissie and her staff are always gentle, fast and friendly and handle her loud noises with ease. They have ALWAYS been right there at my appointment time. Even Chrissies dog Otis is sweet, calm and friendly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Chrissie and her crew!!!! Today I was referred to Scrub-A-Pup by Petsmart in San Carlos for a simple nail trim. My baby girl Hina was just diagnosed with terminal Liver Cancer with only a few months to live, is in hospice and has been in and out of UC Davis, she's doing ok but.needless to say she is a little gun shy with more new people and getting handled. I can't remember who I spoke when I called but after sharing with them the above they said no problem at all ...bring her in we will take care of her. When I arrived I was met with Sara. She was amazing, accommodating, gentle, compassionate and just the sweetest. She was more than willing to do the trim in the back seat of my Jeep so I wouldn't have to cause any anxiety to my baby girl. After offering a cookie for being such a good girl, we were done, Sara is an amazing human being and did an amazing job accommodating our situation, I am grateful for this shop being flexible and thank you to Petsmart in SC for referring us. It's a nice spot to drop the pup off for a bath. I appreciate their easy scheduling and texting notifications/robocall when she's ready to be picked up!

I had to get a wash and nail clip for my dog quick because I had visitors coming that evening, and I was able to get in the same day. They were great. Super quick and a super clean doggie. The place is very clean and the groomers were professional, and friendly. Can’t say enough good stuff about them. Thanks!

Great place to take your dog to wash and dry them. They have thr brushes, towels, dryer and even scissors etc. that you need to make your pup look and smell good.

I'm not sure why but my dogs always leave itching more than when they came in.

Wonderful dog wash. They'll groom is you want or for $20 you can do self service. Tubs are at hip height and have stairs for the doggos. They have towels, air dryers, detangling combs, many shampoos, nail clippers, ferberizing combs, you name it. Great place, friendly staff and parking on side streets is usually available.

This place is amazing! They have tons of self wash tubs and two amazing groomers! What's not to love?

The place is incredibly loud and cramped. My dogs nails were quickly cut in the lobby and many of them were bleeding :( she was left traumatized. Nice people overall but just doesn't feel right going here...

If 3.5 were an option I'd choose that. My experience wasn't bad, it just wasn't very good. I came in for the first time a couple weeks ago for a nail trim and bath for my medium sized dog; she isn't a breed that needs haircuts. Front desk staff was polite and took her back right away. Where the experience goes downhill was when I came to pick up my dog. The shop does not take American Express. It's just personal experience, but I haven't been to a shop that doesn't take Amex in years, so I didn't think to ask, and there was no sign that I saw saying they don't take Amex. I had taken out my other card and had no cash, so I had to return my dog to them, and drive home to get another card (that's not their fault, just annoying). I came back, picked up my dog and paid. The checkout wasn't exactly smooth. I think the young man working there isn't comfortable with the system or people, but he is young so that happens. They didn't have a breakdown of services or details of how anything went. Nobody said anything either, just gave me the total. The reason I won't return though, is that they must not have rinsed my dog properly. She was itchy once we got home and hadn't been before leaving. I was worried about fleas, but I'm pretty certain she just had soap left in. I could have taken her back to get her rinsed of again, but she hates baths and I didn't want to put her through it again so soon. So again, overall, not bad, just not good. It may have been a one off thing, but there are tons of dog washes nearby so I'll try another instead.

I really liked my groomer. She came recommended from my cousin. They kept my dog calm too. I do however think the front desk staff could use a little training and practice. They were not good communicators and wouldn't let me talk to the groomer until I asked another person to grab her. He couldn't tell me what services were performed on my dog and seemed confused

Alyson gave my Giant Schnauzer her first proper cut. My dog came out looking like she is ready for a show. I will certainly go back to Alyson .
