This is a good grooming place. They put up with my dog who isn't the easiest to groom.

Best groomers ever. Dogs are not left in kennels. They are allowed to play and given plenty of water. Navida, you are the best!

Very kind and friendly staff, I love how they don't lock up the dogs in cages while they are waiting to be groomed, it's like doggy day camp and grooming. They did a great job give my puppy her first real grooming, I will definitely be going back to them for all her grooming needs.

They are wonderful there. They let the dogs play and tire themselves out (like free doggy daycare), and they do a fantastic job with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Highly recommend it.

I found this place by accident. I was referred to a place on Huntington Drive in San Marino and went to this one when in fact there are two groomers on Huntington Drive. Since I was there I decided to leave my 1 dog (after they called my vet and had evidence of her shots, etc faxed over). The man who works there is very nice. They told me that she would be ready by 1PM and they would call. They never called until the end of the day when suddenly I got 3 messages in a row from Navida. All were curt and basically said we are closing in 30 minutes and you need to come get your dog. Like it was my fault that they had said they would call by 1PM and never called. When I got there to pick up my dog they were nice enough and I just wrote off the odd phone messages to stress and/or someone forgetting to call. My dog looked nice and I was happy with the job. About 6 weeks later I made another appointment to bring back 2 of my dogs this time. I asked them to do the same cut they had done before on the one dog except to make it a little shorter. The other dog only needed a bath and nails cut. When I picked them up the dog who had been groomed looked like she had not been cut. It looked more like a wash and a blow dry. It was raining and the place was very busy and it was hectic as several other people were picking up pets. I asked them if they could cut a little more in the rear area which they did (it took all of 2 minutes). I was trying to look at the rest of her but I couldn't because they had 4-5 dogs (one of which was theirs) jumping all over my dog. I decided to just take her home as I am not a very picky person and it just wasn't that big a deal to me. When I got home my girlfriend immediately said that our little girl had not been cut enough. She said the same thing I had thought that her legs looked like they had just been blow dried. They were super fluffy and while she looked "stylish" in about a week she would look like she needed another grooming. So the next morning I called Navida and explained the situation and asked if I could bring the one dog back and have her legs and ears (which had also not been touched) cut a little more. I was shocked when Navida replied "NO, you said she was fine when you picked her up". Given that I had left the premises with her I figured that technically/legally she was correct and I was prepared to just let it go then she had to add "and you said to cut her the same way we did the previous time". Since she decided to go there I pointed out to her that indeed I had said this and that I had also added to cut her even shorter yet she had come back being cut even LESS than the first time. She then gave me a bunch of mumbo jumbo about how the oils had set and she couldn't cut her again without washing her.....blah blah blah. I explained that I didn't expect her to redo everything....just trim her legs and ears a little. It would take 3-5 minutes at most. Finally she agreed that I could bring her back the next day but she was so difficult about it and at this point I knew I would never come back so I just did it myself. I have a dog clippers with all the attachments and I trimmed her legs and ears in about 8 minutes (since I am not a pro). Did it look as good as if Navida had done it? Maybe/maybe not. But it looked good enough. Navida seems to be one of those people who is nice as pie when everything is going exactly to HER plan but if you deviate from that then you see a not so nice side. There are plenty of other groomers in the immediate area which do very nice jobs, are less expensive, and don't have bad attitudes. It is funny because I have been going to a nice hair salon in San Marino to get my hair cut for about 20 years. I went in there the next day after I had been in Five Paws and when I left they told me the exact same thing they have been telling me for 20 years. "If there are any problems or its not short enough just come back". Navida and Five Paws could learn something about customer service from them.
