I'd like very much for Dr. Hosking to return to practice. Each time a pet needs to visit a vet, I look to see if he has opened the shop. After moving to Escondido, I still returned to SMAMC because I know the doctor and staff were a cut above any Escondido vet clinic, as I'd lived in Esco before. My pets accepted them easily. I still don't know any veterinarian here who doesn't prescribe unnecessary diagnostics and also opportunistically over-charges people for everything, and Dr. Hosking's office never did that. All the Esco Vets are corporate owned.

I’ve never had to wait long to see the Vet, never ever had a problem with the office staff and my dogs were always treated well. I brought my Lhasa apso in for a limp (he hurt his leg somehow in the back yard) and I really appreciated how Dr Hoskings didn’t take advantage of an opportunity like every other vet I’ve been to in the past. He closely examined my dog and determined it was a sprain, he said he thinks he also may have arthritis (he’s over 10) but said we’d try some meds first and if he isn’t better we’ll take the next step. Every other vet I’ve been to tried to run labs and x rays and charge me thousands. This vet noticeably puts the animals first. He’s great with my dogs even my husky who behaves terribly at the vet, even aggressive at times. I think he’s truly gifted with animals and doesn’t price gouge his customers.

I have been coming here for 10+ yrs with several pets thru the years. Best prices. Dr. Hoskings truly cares for his patients, very knowledgeable.

The worst veterinarian clinic ever. The staff is immensely unprofessional, two women (desk receptionist/vet assistant) which I cannot remember their names were rude and always spoke to me with a bad attitude and with annoyed facial expressions. The wait time is awful, my dog was very sick and needed to be seen right away. Finally, we were placed in a room we waited another hour then Brian Hosking walked in, didn't greet us, and walked back out and proceeded to make us wait another hour. He did not thoroughly take a look at my dog, he said she was fine and just prescribed her with pain medicine. I asked a bunch of questions and he answered me very annoyed because he wanted to leave. We got out of there asap and went to another veterinarian clinic where my dog was immediately seen and diagnosed with closed pyometra, a life threatening infection in the uterus. Brian Hosking should not have the prestigious title 'Veterinarian' and his staff should not be allowed to work with people and pets due to their unprofessional/unfriendly attitude.

This place has a good Vetenarian who’s knowledgeable and affordable but the customer service that the front desk is terrible. I would hate to stop coming to this place over there unwelcoming and unprofessional staff in which for most cases you deal with the most. I have been there 4 times and everytime I have been spoken to in a rude and unproffesional manner , I really can’t complain over the prices but their receptionist seem to be inconsiderate by phone and in-person.

Best vet around. You might have a wait sometimes, he gets busy. He's worth your waiting time tho. You wont find better prices anywhere. He bluntly honest, and just a great man. Brian Hoskings has been our vet for 30 years.

It's a great place to go when your low on budget and need great service as well as great care for your pet this is my regular vet I take all my animals to and have been going here for years they take great care ofy dog and cat as well as the owner. My appointment was at 9am, vet was here at 9am. Dental went great, prices are great.

Dr Howling and his staff are great with the animals. We have taken our animals to him for 30 years.

Long wait even with an appoinent, but veterinarian is very competent. Takes time with each client answers questions.

Wrost place ever. The staff is so rude and the wait time is ridiculous. The vet is unprofessional and unknowable. There is definitely far better places you can take your pet.

Wonderful office and insightful skilled doctor. So popular, that it is difficult to get a late minute appointment. I have the utmost respect for him and plan ahead to care for my pets to make his office work for caring for my pets.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE!!!!!! Google his name, he is on the verge of losing his license. He has killed numerous numbers of healthy animals. The most unorganized hospital I've ever seen in my life. I have heard horror stories from techs that have worked at this hospital. RUN, get your animals out of here, it is NOT worth the cheap prices. You get what you pay for. I'm not writing this an angry client, i'm writing it to hopefully be able to warn people who might bring their animals here. please don't do it. Also don't take your pets to Pearson's in san marcos because she isn't much better.

I was recommended and the prices were stellar. However, I was not satisfied on how my dog was handled. She was taken in for surgery and my appointment was for the morning. I went back in the evening to get her and they hadn’t even done the procedure! I did not receive a call stating it would be delayed. They had to do the procedure after hours and when I went back to get her she was still trying to wake up. We got her to my car and because of her still waking up she peed in my car and a few times at home because she wasn’t fully awake. This was the responsibility of the office to watch her and do these things had they done the procedure around the scheduled appointment. The vet tech was extremely nice and awesome but my experience was the worst. I was extremely disappointed.

The elder man who is the doctor and owner is caring about the animals and he is reasonable,but very difficult to get an appt.Don't like the other doctors there only the owner ( elder veterinarian )

This place has its issues but the vet has always provided excellent care for my dog who has multiple issues. Yes they are affordable and yes I have sat in his office waiting room for an hour or more at times but he does provide great care at affordable prices. your not expected to get gouged for some huge overhead of a fancy office or millions of staff. They are stressed and they all work hard to meet the demands but they always have been nice to us. want to be quick and overpay for services you might not need this is not the vet office your looking for!

They Always Help My Dog and Because of How affordable they are I can take my Girl To the Vet Every Time Im worried.. When you cant pay rent Because Of A Vet Bill Then its hard To take your pup. But I found Dr. HOSKINS to be a very gentle practical vet who is there to help rather than rack up a $1000.00 vet bill every trip. And if they dont answer right away call back dont complain plz.. I have found they always do the best they can to help. After my first visit i was allowed to drop off my pup and get her later.. That really helps my work schedule.
