On April 12th, 2021, I took my horse to The Equine Center to get a few of his top teeth extracted. Dr. Emily Bardo was the veterinarian. After several sedations and numbing shots and then being under for an hour and a half, my horse started having seizures. She then gave him valium and he died. After his death, Dr. Bardo mentioned, "sometimes this happens with older horses." But she never mentioned any risks prior to the procedure, nor gave me anything written about the risks. Knowing there was a possible fatal risk, I would never have had this procedure done with Dr. Bardo at The Equine Center.

I had extremely good communication from both of the vets, and all of the support staff, who helped me.

It appeared to be a well kept facility, from what I had seen of it. I was only there by chance, helping out a customer get back into her truck after her dog locked them out of it by standing on armrest and activating lock mechanism. Only took me a minute to open up truck to recover keys for customer.

Staff is amazing. So thankful for Dr. Bardo & Vasil for all of their help. I was given a horse after he came up pretty lame during a PPE by Dr. Bardo. Dr. Bardo was so thorough and great with explaining things. The horses owner couldn't afford further testing or treatment so she gave him to me. I live in No. SLO County and thought I'd call the morning I was going to pick the horse up to see if I could get him in for radiographs that afternoon after picking him up since he was just minutes away from their facility. They got me in and were SO accommodating. They did several X-rays that show navicular abnormalities which are concerning but Vasil came up with a game plan for my horse including a course of treatment to start off with and then laid out the plan if each course of treatment wasn't effective. He gave me hope that we can get my new horse sound again. I am SO thankful to have their help. I highly recommend The Equine Center.

Dr. Bardo saved my 33 year old geldings life! He had a 'choke' that required immediate intervention. The Equine Center was ten minutes from the boarding facility Indy was boarded with. Indy was assessed quickly. Dr. Bardo worked tirelessly to clear his esophagus of the debris causing the choke. Dr. Bardo conducted herself in a calm, professional manner, explaining the process every step of the way. Indy, was the perfect patient and showed his gratitude in being the wonderful horse that he is. The after care was exemplary. I am blessed to have more time with Indy due to the expert care he received during his stay at The Equine Center. Due to the advancing age of both of my horses I decided to move them to The Equine Center's boarding leg of their operation. I sleep much sounder now.

Excellent property for recovery or physical therapy for animals puff all sizes, the co located animal hospital (Edna Valley vet) is very busy, which is always a good sign.
