Although the veterinarian and staff are bery friendly, their professionalism is lacking. 1. You have to wait days for a reply when trying to make an appointment or order meda for your pet that are only available from a veterinarian. 2. They tell you to show up at a specific appointment time and will have you waiting almost another hour 3. My grandmother, who referred me to this veterinarian, has been waiting months for lab work that she paid for, for her dog and still hasn't received a phone call, etc. She is an older dog with ailments and having to wait for something you paid a lot of money for is just ridiculous. I'd say for the price they charge per visit and everything else, you would be better off finding a more responsive and responsible veterinarian for your animal.

Horrible experience just over the phone! My aunt has made an appointment at a time I was busy so i was unable to make the first one but it was rescheduled. I called to double check on prices/possibly cancel because they were more than i can afford and the vet started complaining about the first appointment i missed. Very unprofessional and nasty attitude and never answered my questions about pricing. I know there’s more than the initial $50 exam fee and as someone who is low income i need to know prices before committing. My aunt told me he called her to complain to HER! He told i said she would cover the cost of the phone call? Even though that wasn’t mentioned and he hung up on my face. Since when do vets charge for phone calls? Glad me and my senior dog didn’t saw up to this place.

I took my pets to this clinic when the other owner was in charge. I called a few months ago to get a medication refill for one of my pets and the lady told me that they could find my file, I asked if she had the file of one of my other pets and she said she didn't, so I went there in person and the lady that helped me said that she would make a new file for my pet. Today I called to make an appointment and a guy that sounded a little rude said that they didn't have me on file. I don't know what they did to the files the previous owner had and it is not really professional if they just threw them away and not to keep track of their clients. I would no longer recommend this clinic.

So my appointment was 10am... Doctor didn’t show up until 10:40!!! On top of that for shots and spade he was charging 495$?!!! Previous owners retired three months ago, so the new owner jacked up the prices triple time! Oh no I will not!

I BEEN GOING TO BLUE CROSS CLINIC FOR 20 YEARS. THEY ARE VERY FRIENDLY THERE, THE DOCTOR KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT ANIMALS AND IS VERY SMART TOO. I TOOK MY CAT IN JUST RECENTLY WHEN I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS WRONG WITH HER. THEY HOOKED HER UP TO AN OXYGEN TANK BECAUSE SHE COULDN'T BREATH, HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT TO DO AND WHAT WAS WRONG WITH MY CAT. THEY EVEN STAYED THERE AFTER HOURS TO MAKE SURE MY CAT WAS OK, WHEN HE THOUGHT SHE WAS GONER. HE SAVED MY CATS LIFE. THEY ARE THE BEST CLINIC AROUND AND I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THEM AND ALL THE GREAT THINGS THEY DONE FOR ALL MY PETS. GOOD PRICES TOO.

WARNING. If you love your pet DO NOT take them here unless you dont mind paying inflated prices for nothing. Dr Boado has retired and the new vet cares nothing for animals and only wants money. They ran a bunch of unneccessary tests and I had to fight for over 2 weeks to get the results all the while my fur baby was struggling to breathe. Phone calls, emails, knocking on the door, nothing worked. When I finally caught up to them, the results showed nothing, and they said oh well. No follow up, no care or interest for my dog at all. It's so sad because Dr Boado was so awesome.

terrible place i brought my very ill puppy to this vet they made me wait an hour and charged me 600$ for tests and we had to call them to 3 days later for his results, his results left me somewhat confused they gave us medicine he had a bad reaction to the medication and started seizing i told them about the seizing the next visit and seem to brush off the question and gave me more medication we took him off the medication and is now at an emergency vet getting stabilized. this vet costed us 679 dollars we basically paid to slowly kill him.

Had to rush an I'll cat to the vet. I didn't know the previous vet had retired. The new vet very kindly advised me that a lot of tests and treatment would be necessary but would not guarantee that her life would be saved. We decided that it would be thene most humane decision to end her suffering. Like others who were used to the previous vet, I was shocked by the fee. I can understand that it is a new business and he needs to pay his expenses and make a profit. However, I will definitely be looking for a vet who's fees are more in line with my ability to pay.

No frills, low tech but absolutely sincere. We moved to the Bay Area eight years ago and since then, our 13 year old has been coming for check-ups (thanks to reminder post cards), follow-ups and general care (specialized is referred out). Wonderful place.

Just called and the lady wasn’t very friendly at all. She said they had openings and when I told her we had a 2 year old chocolate lab she informed me that the doctor only accepts small dogs now. Don’t waste your time!

Great , old school, no nonsense vet. Low cost and super easy to get an appointment. I have taken my three cats there for over a decade and the good doctor has saved the day on numerous occasions. Yes, his office is in a slightly sketchy section of San Leandro/Ashland, but he has dedicated parking in the back of the building. While the doctor doesn't handle specialized medicine such as cancer care or advanced dental work, he will make recommendations to local specialists such as the Emergency Clinic on Washington Avenue in San Leandro.

This has been my family vet for about 25 years, I wouldn't think of taking my pets anywhere else. The Dr. And his staff are absolutely wonderful. When our car pulls up in front of the office, my dogs get all excited, it's so cute
