PetSmart San Juan Capistrano, California

My Grandaughter and I went in to find a hamster that she could comfort her. She lost an aunt and uncle five days within each other. The man that was at the register would not sell it to them. They said she would have to do research on it before she bought it. My Grandaughter told him that it was going to my house and I was very knowledgeable about them. They said in there words “ I don’t care” my Grandaughter was so upset crying. They were very rude. Hope it wasn’t cuz they were going to feed that one to there snakes. The reason why she wanted that one is because it was all by itself and so lonely. We told them we shop there all the time and that we wouldn’t be going there anymore and the guy said “ good I hope I don’t see your face in here again” so shocked at there customer service.

Several experiences here of SEVERELY under-counted cricket containers. I bought one package of “25-30 sm/med size crickets” the day before Christmas, and quite literally recieved 2 crickets in the box. Tried to grab a new one the day after Christmas, and despite the purchase attached to my phone number, they wanted the box. The dirty, stinky, box filled with dead animal material. I won’t be coming back here. This was the last straw.

Good spot for grooming appointments! Books about 3 weeks out because they're in such high demand. Great selection of pet supplies, clean store with easy parking...super bonus that they're next to Costco!

Whenever they have cat adoption days I love going there and spend time playing with

Never had the problem with selections or inventory. Adoption events are held here few times a week. Line can become long and slow when only one register is open.

They have everything and anyth for your pet. We got this cute haunted house cat house for my cats on sale. They love it.

Petsmart in San Juan by Costco is awesome . Mgr is Evan and he makes sure his staff provide exceptional service . If I buy a dog or cat food that my pets do not eat, Petsmart gives a full refund and exchange for my choice of a new food. They have done this many times over the years for me. I can call Evan or other employees for advice foe my dog and cat and take them to the store to guarantee a perfect fit for their clothes. They are extremely helpful when my pets are sick and walked me through last year when my 20 yr old BICHON Service dog, became very ill and spent months at San Clemente Vet in Pico plaza at the 5 Hwy. Evan gave me Credits for meds that sis not suit my Maggie without questions . Their store is always immaculate and friendly . Shop Petsmart for a store you may trust and believe whatever they say about all their foods . All products fully returnable if not satisfied just like Costco guarantees . I have shopped at Petsmart since they first opened . Amazing quality service . Their groomers are not as good as the store personnel , unless they changed . I witnessed a woman groomer abusing a small dog who was petrified , and after reporting her next day she was mot there any longer . Zero tolerance to any pet abuse in the grooming but stay and watch while pet is groomed to be sure . This is my 20 yr old service Bichon Maggie, who passed last month .

The staff at Banfield were great. They took well care of our two girls and explained everything about the visit for our four pawed girls. Recommended to others for pet care.

The employees are very generous as they greet you making you actually feel welcomed compared to other stores. If your thinking smart think PetSmart!????????

I enjoy this PetSmart not only because it’s right near my house but they also have a very friendly staff and a good fish selection. They honor there return policy also.

Pet store is great and they have a great selection. MOST of the staff is nice and helpful there is one worker there who is NOT helpful and always very rude. Which is why I only give 3 stars.
