My dog is so excited every time Kerry comes to the door. We are still working on him not jumping up on her though! It’s so refreshing to know that on those days that I just cannot free myself from work to walk him, she’s there, on-time, every time, to walk him!

Alex and her team are so wonderful, I know my furry creatures are in great hands with her. She attends to details (lets me know a kitty might be constipated), can administer meds (giving a cat medication is a courageous act for sure), and is such a pleasure to interact with. Whenever I return home after Alex and her team have looked after my kitties, I can tell that my kitties have been well taken care of and they’re happy.

Kerry and her team at While You Were Out are absolutely amazing, caring and very professional. When my cat required medication, While You Were Out took care of administering the medication while I was at work. I knew my Moe was in good hands and would get extra love when he wasn’t feeling well. Honestly, Kerry is “the animal whisperer” and knowing that Moe was getting his medication on time took a huge amount of stress off my shoulders. I have since referred many family and friends to Kerry and her team and will continue to do so. So thankful for While You Were Out.

Alex has been taking care of our cats for the past three years and she and her team are fantastic! She is quick to respond to appointment requests and spends time with our cats during each visit. She sends daily photos of their antics which makes us laugh. Like you, our pets are family and Alex treats them that way. We HIGHLY recommend her!

Alex and her team are great at taking care of our cat Penny! Penny needs asthma medicine every day and we can always trust While You Were Out to be there for her when we're away. We can rest easier when we need to leave Penny because Alex sends us photos and updates while we are gone. They are good communicators and have been available for us every time we've needed them. Would recommend them for any pet sitting needs!

Alex and her team are exceptional! Alex goes above and beyond in her communication with you while you’re gone with photos of my fur babies and updates. Alex has been giving my 17 year old cat subcutaneous fluids for over 2 years. She is so kind, nurturing and intelligent. She’s a delight to be around and knows exactly what she’s doing. I had 2 other vet techs helping in the first year and Alex is by far the most talented and knowledgeable. I’m lucky to have found her.

Alex is my go to for all things dog related. She takes my dog for walks, has her play at dog parks, and is my first point of contact if I have any questions about my dog. She is more knowledgeable than my vet at times with issues going on. I would highly recommend her for anyone needing a dog walker or a dog sitter.

Alex has many years in the industry and, when one of my girls was ill, Alex knew exactly who was the best to contact and what to do! My job required that I be away for days at time. Over the last 40 years I have had numerous dog walkers for my marvelous dogs. Hands down, Alex and her people are the best I have used. Alex ensures all of her folks are well trained and are truly animal lovers. She has years of veterinary experience as a vet tech and can easily discuss an issue you might have with your animal. She and her team are very flexible and will work hard to ensure your animal has a warm and positive experience each and every day. The best judge are the animals themselves who welcome Alex and her team with eager enthusiasm.

I can’t imagine wanting to leave my dogs in the care of anyone else when I travel or am at work for extended days. The combination of skill, reliability, and a genuine love of animals that is obvious from the first time they interact with them is simply the best. Alex and Alissa are the best combinations of kind and professional that i’ve experienced. If you’re fortunate, and they aren’t already booked, you’re gonna want to jump on it right away. I know the demand for their services goes crazy, (especially in certain parts of the year) so book as soon as you know you’re gonna need them...once you’ve had them work with you and your pets, you’ll probably end up like me and not be happy with anyone else caring for them.

I truly can't say enough good things about Alex and While You Were Out. She has been pet sitting for me for over five years and is by far the most trustworthy, dependable, easy to work with, and skilled pet sitter I've ever had in over 20 years of having different pets and pet sitters. Her many years as a vet tech make her especially observant and communicative, and enable her to take care of pets who might need extra TLC like pilling, subcutaneous fluids, specially prepared food, etc. I would be remiss not to add that she is totally unflappable--I've had some travel mishaps (to put it mildly) over the years and she has always been flexible and quick to put my mind at ease that my cat will be well cared for in my absence. Alex has been such a big help over the years! She has helped to walk our two rambunctious dogs and cared for our cats while we were away. Alex has been providing dog walking services for my sweet girl Lola for 4 years. Lola is a very shy, nervous rescue dog. Lola felt at ease with Alex from day one (which meant that I also felt at ease!). Alex was very patient with Lola and gave her time to warm up. I also trust Alex and her team to give daily medications to Lola. Alex has a vast amount of clinical veterinary experience which makes her stand out from other individuals offering pet services. I am a nurse and I work long, crazy hours. Alex has always been flexible with my schedule and the unique needs it brings. I get daily photos and updates with each visit. I can’t imagine trusting anyone else to come into my home and care for my fur baby.

While you were out is the absolute best! Alex is very caring and attentive, and puts us at ease when our pups are in her care. We have used her service for years now, and wouldn’t use anyone one else! We have used her services when out of town, for for walks and check ins on busy work days and to give our pups extra attention when our kids were born. As someone who thinks of our dogs as our children, Alex treated them as her own. She is very professional, always on time, and has been flexible with our crazy schedule. Our dogs immediately took a liking to her, which is weird because our dogs are extremely over protective and usually don’t like people. She is very capable of handling our two giant German shepherds, so big dogs aren’t an issue. If you need someone to watch your fur babies while you are out, absolutely go with Alex. She is the best!

Alex and her team were a last-minute lifesaver when we had to go out of town on a family emergency. They accommodated us quickly and checked all the boxes of things we needed done in the house and with the pups. It was so nice to go to town and not have to worry much about our precious pups.
