Made an appointment, they were over 20 mins late. Real tired of this every single visit. Stop stacking so many appointments so close together if you can’t handle the load.

They were very kind to get me in last minute... I know Bella gets the best of care there and they call and check up always to see how she's doing... I wouldn't take her anywhere else I trust them with my Bella's life????

Paulie - Last week he loosened a tab on collar and was able to lick leg. Not as bad as before but it led to drastic changes. 1) Tightened collar/cone around neck using dog collar & gauze. 2) Before leaving house he was drugged. 3) His gated area made smaller so he can’t move around. I see mostly scab & sutures, middle area has some red from wound. “Shout Out” to Pet Hospital, Hilsdale Avenue, San Jose, CA, 95124. They did 2nd surgery, provided needed meds and calming pills after he loosened tab on collar. Thank you!!!!

This place is the WORST by far.. he over charges by hundreds of dollars all the time all the time. The more people I talk to about this thief the more I hear about how he overcharges everyone. He charge me $1500 to drain a hematoma out of my dogs ear flap and after I paid him he tells me oh it’s gonna happen again and you’re gonna have to bring her back. Why didn’t he tell me that before he stole my money. And by the way I found out that every other vet in the Southbay only charge $250 for the procedure. Do yourself a favor and save a lot of money by never taking your pet there to get ripped off.

A basic vetenarian clinic. I found he's not current on some medicines after he sent my cat to the eye specialist.

Dr. Grewal and the staff at Animal Medical Center have always been amazing! They're caring, compassionate, and comprehensively explain treatment/cost. Dr. Grewal will personally call you to followup on lab results or the care of your pet. They will go above and beyond to care for your pet as soon as possible. I was referred to AMCSJ over 3 years ago and would drive 40+ miles to take my puppy to them. When my puppy got Parvo, they got him back to health for a fraction of what my local vet had charged me for a single visit (including overnight stays). My puppy was always so happy to see them all for checkups. Now that I have moved further away, and needed care for my kitten, I didn't think twice about driving 70+ miles to see Dr. Grewal. Thank you all at AMCSJ!

The food was great but the lack the variety. This place used to bean awesome restaurant, now it's a only bar. It's still a great barz but I miss the french food.

I want to thank Dr. Grewal for taking such good care of our dogs Bingo and Kona. He is so insightful and spends time to answer your concerns. Never rushes you. Happy family, Bingo, Kona and Mommy!!!!

Great staff and Dr. Grewal took really good care of my cat who needed an emergency surgery to remove an obstruction in her intestines. Thank you so much to everyone working there! They are all very skilled, attentive and patient, even while during extremely busy periods. Highly recommended!

Doctors are great. They seem to know what they're doing. The people in the front are very friendly and helpful.

I love this vet practice! They are super compassionate and everyone who works there is always so professional and easy to deal with. They are super responsive if i ever have a question and I never feel rushed. I work with them through a rescue and they always work hard to get us great prices to help us reduce costs. I had to take one of my dogs to the vet and during these hard times you don’t have to many choices. I ended up at the Animal Medical Center which was a horrible experience dealing with Dr. Grewal. He was so insensitive toward the pets and owners. This individual should have a dollar sign tattoo on his forehead because that’s all he discussed instead of what my options were regarding my dog's health. He didn’t even give her a standard check up and told us she has cancer which would cost us thousands of dollar to care for her. He was so quick to charge us for a check up and antibiotic shot that the staff didn’t even know if my pet was really given the shot. I would never take any of my pets to this unprofessional and insensitive location again!

They took good care of my cat

I went in for a rabies vaccine and chipping. They were very friendly and the experience was good, but... My dog came home with several fleas. I'm probably going back, but I expect a higher level of cleanliness.

After calling multiple places, waiting on hold, people not having the answers, I finally found the right spot. Animal medical center is the only vet I will ever call again. I spoke with a very nice lady named Chris who helped me with everything I was looking for. She was able to answer all the questions I had for her and assist me in feeling confident in the choices I was making, not only for myself for my new kitten!!

We have been going to this place since our dog "Muffin" was 2 months old. Dr. Grewal is superb. Very experienced, helps us understand the health of our dog and takes good care of her during emergencies. His staff is also very caring. Regular vaccination is one thing, but treatment in terms of emergency is when you really need a good vet. Some other animal bit a piece of Muffin's ear off. She was all bloddy and her ear piece was literally hanging over a small remaining join. Dr. Grewal stitched the ear and over a couple of months she recovered. He gave medicine which eased her pain. The medicine was supplied in the same hospital at the counter. I did not have a dog insurance, but Dr. Grewal was very reasonable with his charges. I am grateful to him!

Most patronizing experience I've had in my life. Took my dog in because his paw was swollen, and they told me they'd have a specialist look at it before calling me back. Week goes by, nothing. Go to someone else for your pet.

I had a wonderful experience here. I was in desperate need of care for my kitten and the Animal Medical Center made it a priority to get me in to look at my kitten's skin issues. They are adhering to all the safe distancing and Covid safety measures which I really appreciate. They kept me apprised of everything they did and got permission before each step. I met personally with the vet who was compassionate and kind. Since all the animal shelters have closed spay/neuter services, all the vets in the area are super busy but Animal Medical Center was even able to schedule me in for those services and vaccinations in a very reasonable timeframe. Animal Medical Center staff was professional, polite, and patient despite the phones constantly ringing and community demand they are trying to keep up with.

Dr, Grenwal and his staff are excellent, caring Veternary Professionals. I have been a loyal customer for at least 15 years.

I've been coming here for 14 years now with my pets needs ranging anywhere from annual check ups, minor operations, or even cancer treatments. Great front desk staff and Dr. Gherewal has also given us the best methods of treatment and lays out multiple options in regards to treatment. They took great care of my last dog up until the end and have helped me navigate the path with my new special needs pup. If you're looking for a vet that feels like family this is the place.

My first visit here with my elderly Shepard. Doctor took time to review her history and listen to me. I feel I've found someone who will provide great care for her.

I have brought all my cats here and a few strays- the people here care about your animal and your family. When my cat died last year, they whole staff went above and beyond to help us through the grief. Now with a new kitty, they take care of him and always complement something about his personality!

This establishment is next level and top notch. The care that my Siberian Husky received was undoubtedly the best I have encountered. The staff was very caring when helping administer the medicine to my dog. The examination was thorough and the doctor answered any and all the questions i had with regards to my dog. 10/10 would go here again, and I wish I could give more stars if possible!
