We went to have our cat's teeth cleaned. They did a thorough job and discovered that there was a hidden issue that would not have been found without an x-ray and research. They performed the surgery and was able to resolve the issue. Our cat for sure is feeling better. We appreciate the care that the team took of our cat and in being zealous in uncovering other potential issues that would've brought continuous pain or would've brought us back in to the vet. Thank you!

I've always had an amazing experience at Park Animal hospital. Their staff is extremely experienced and truly care about you and your pets. Their technician Tiana has always been extremely attentive, up front, and honest. I was surprised by this because most technicians don't interact or understand what is going on, this was not my experience at Park Animal. Everyone I've met so far is fully capable, provides useful information, and answers my questions directly. I wouldn't trust my fur children with anyone else.

Each and every person at Park Animal treats each pet and pet parent like family. It’s a friendly, warm pet loving place. I. love the way they treat your pet as if he is their own. Thank you to Park Animal staff for your care of Henry.

I have been brining my dog here for seven years. I have established "existing customer" status at other vets, but I return here. My care is excellent. They have several veterinarians that can bring differing viewpoints on complicated matters. I feel we receive excellent and thoughtful care.

I’ve been with Park Animal Hospital for about 18 months. They were wonderful with my older cat and we’re so compassionate with me at the end of her life. Now they continue to take great proactive care of my rescue pup, figuring out good care plans and responding as needed for emergent issues. Kind, professional staff all around!

We are very pleased with the care that our puppy receives at Park Animal Hospital. We see Dr. Joiner, who is outstanding in her up-to-date training, surgical skills, and warm demeanor. She did our pup's spay surgery and did a great job and trained us well with incision care, answering all our follow-up questions. Dr. Arrick also has evaluated our pet for urgent care, and he was very helpful and informative. The experienced team of staff, including Rowena, Susan, and Linda, keep us informed about next steps and availability of appointments, and answer any questions about our billing statements thoroughly. I am also impressed with the warm care that vet techs Kirk and Tiana provide. I have learned a lot from them about daily care for our pup and I feel confident about handing her off curbside to them. Overall, for the latest in animal care, a well-organized practice, and excellent safety precautions during the pandemic (when we got our pup), I strongly recommend this practice.

We have been taking our cats to Park Animal Hospital for many years and have always been happy with the caring and professional care they provide. Recently we adopted a kitten (he's our 3rd generation of Park Animal cats!) who turned out to be sick. Even though PAH is super busy, like all vets are during COVID, they were able to squeeze our little guy in to see Dr. Joiner. After a thorough examination, she determined that he should receive hospital care, which didn't surprise me but I must say my heart sank. I knew that the options aren't great for vet hospitals now - the good ones are very busy, and it can be difficult to get in. Susan contacted Lenity in San Mateo and explained what was going on with my guy, and they agreed to see him. He's thankfully much better now, and once again I'm thankful that the wonderful folks at PAH are there for our pets.

the staff is excellent, they always have sally's welfare in mind and never do unnecessary procedures, and are kind and wonderful. the front office staff is great and dr arrick is the best. i have been going there for 25 years .

Today I stood on the sidewalk outside the vet clinic while an employee berated me about how I need to handle my puppy's biting before it gets out of control. I get that no one wants to be gnawed on while working, but she's a 9 week old puppy leaving the house for the first time and doesn't know any better yet. She was obviously scared and alone thanks to your insanely strict office visit restrictions. I came to the vet for vaccines, not dire warnings about unchecked puppy behavior. Besides that upsetting experience, the vets and front desk staff are good and have been helping with my other dog and cat for years.

Friendly and expert service. Went out of their way to make Kitty (and me!) comfortable.

I have been going to Park Animal Hospital for many years. Two of my previous dogs were seen by the doctors there. Although Dr. Holiday is no longer working there and she was amazing but the staff there are very helpful and do a great job!

I have been going to this vet for 15 years and after the past year I am just completely done. I’ve always found the Doctors to be great to work with so no issues there. There has been a bit of turnover in the Doctor situation the last few years and Dr. Holiday leaving was a huge bummer, she was great. I’m writing this review at 3am after returning from AIMSS where I had to take my dog, because Park Animal Hospital couldn’t make time to see her, even though they know she has major issues and they have been taking care of her for 14 years. Turns out she has a large abscess in her eye, which could have been a really bad situation if I hadn’t taken her to AIMSS and waited for 7 hours in my car. This is the same eye that the vet at PAH told me to watch, and call them immediately if anything changes. It’s not just the fact that they couldn’t take 30 minutes to look at my dog, it’s also the fact that Rowena at the front desk is unpleasant to deal with on occasion. I was planning on leaving after my dog passes, but I’d rather take her to a place that cares about their clients for the short time she has left.

Didn’t care that I had other questions to ask about what’s going on with my dog. They just try to cut me off every time I tried to ask another questions. They didn’t care.

Tried to call and make an appointment. Front desk staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

They are great. Dr. Owens is especially helpful. Honestly the whole staff is super professional and exactly what you would hope for with a vet practice. You can tell they care.

Brought my puppy here for a check up and his last vaccines after having been at my mom's (not in the city) for all his previous appointments. Expensive and made my dog sick - uncontrollable diarrhea after coming here. When I called and expressed my concern, they said I should be on my way to Urgent Care. Didn't offer any help but point me in the direction of another place that would otherwise just take my money. Came back for his last booster and got turned away after waiting 30 minutes in the rain. Don't recommend. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. We certainly won't be coming back.

We've always had really good experiences here. Everyone is friendly and competent, and they have set up an efficient system to cope with covid protocols.

Just called to ask about information regarding neutering/spaying services and the lady was extremely condescending and hung up before I could ask any additional questions.

Rude person answering the phone. Acted shocked that I had chickens as pets and was not open to hearing my request for fecal sample testing (which is not an unusual request of animal vets). She didn't even agree to ask her doctors about it. Wow.

Been here 10 years (3 dogs). Have no complaints about the vets, but very unprofessional front desk 'manager'. Will be examining my options.

Just had another positive experience with Park Animal Hospital, and thought I'd finally take a moment to leave them a well deserved 5 star review. As a life-long pet owner, I've experienced many animal hospitals over the years. This is by far my favorite. The care is warm, genuine, professional and reliable. The fees have always been fair and I have never had the feeling that they are upselling anything. Just straightforward dedication to the animals. When cancer took our beloved last pup from us, Park Animal Hospital handled her treatment with love and dignity, and we received the most heartwarming card signed by members of their staff. They are taking great care of our current dog, who despite her shyness is not the least bit afraid to visit this veterinary office. Thank you, Park Animal Hospital, for your continued great service to our SF pet community.
