Citizen Hound is amazing and I couldn't be more grateful knowing our English Springer Spaniel is going on a fun, safe, adventure with a great pack each day. Our pup has been with Citizen Hound and one of their awesome walkers, Molly, Monday through Friday for the last 1.5 years. Highly recommend Citizen Hound to any dog owner in the neighborhood.

We LOVE Citizen Hound! It does not get better than CH. Truly. We’ve tried other dog-walking options, and CH is by far the best. Our pup, Dolly, is a bundle of energy but lives in a household with two busy professionals who work a lot... Citizen Hound gives her a wonderful outlet to go play and explore and EXERCISE. She loooves her pack and when we randomly see other dogs from her pack out in the world they both get so excited to see each other. CH really gives pups a chance to be dogs and bond with their pack, and it leaves me at ease knowing she's somewhere safe and enjoying her life, even when I can’t be there. She’s always so much happier and calmer when she’s been out with her crew. Also, added perk, CH sends us these amazing photos of Dolly playing with her pack - I mean, top notch photographer level. We’ve also worked with a few different dog walkers over the years as our schedules shifted, and seriously, every one of them has been amazing. CH is the best!

My golden doodle's joy these past two years plus with Citizen Hound is obvious each day at pick up and in all the photos. Sarah has had so much patience and understanding to get to know my pup's bold and curious personality! As humans, we are so thankful that Sarah diligently towels her off after a beach day, before entering the home, and thoughtfully dries her harness in a proper area (typically on the top of her roof so it's almost dry upon arrival!). It's been a winning combination to have Sarah be on our pup guardian team! The walks also vary by day- often our dog goes to the beach because her pack loves it, other times they go on a long hiking trail, open park area, and/or scenic wonderings. Our pup is roams mostly off leash, practicing her recall, ability to stay, sit, and play nicely with others. All of that's part of the service, to make the dog better mannered and able to navigate the human world safely. Very thoughtful. Coordinating schedules with Citizen Hound management has also been super easy. We often go out of town on long weekends or want to take her off the day's schedule for extra cuddles at home, and the team rapidly receives and adapts the walk schedule to accommodate our advanced notices. The communication process is so simple. The monthly walking fee also is easy and affordable. I feel like we get the maximum value for the service, as our highly energetic and active dog comes back mentally and physically exhausted. The payment structure also makes it easy for us to budget and make payments since it's the same price every month, and it's all done electronically on schedule. David's really assembles a rockstar team and process. I'm huge into process improvement at work and having experienced Citizen Hound for 2 plus years, there's nothing I would change about his business. He is constantly up to date on the latest training techniques, weather patterns, and dog nuances. Plus, diligent to make sure all dogs in his packs have appropriate vaccines and temperaments. Finally, he treats his staff like family - and it shows in how they interact and treat us humans and our dogs. In short: Citizen Hound is the best dog walking / adventure service in the City (including Pacific Heights) and the pictures prove it!

We couldn't have picked a better dog walking team for our golden retriever! Our dog has walked with the CH team for over 2 years now, and since she was only a few months old. The team is engaging, fun, and our pup loves every member of the team she's met - a true testament to how much time and love they give the dogs in their packs. The CH team even trained our pup how to walk safely on leash, and eventually off leash as well, helping reinforce core commands like sit, stay, wait, steady while she was on her daily walks. We couldn't have asked for a more attentive and caring team of people to care for our dog every day. She comes back exhausted, having run her heart out with other dogs in the most beautiful spots around SF. Special shout out to Molly & Steph (and Ally & Armando in the past!) who have made Beau's life truly wonderful. If ever you offer walks in Marin, please let us know! Citizen Hound and our walker, Alli, has been a complete game-changer since I moved to San Francisco. I interviewed other dog walking companies/individuals, and none compared to the level of professionalism and service that this company provides. The management team has really put together a high quality customer experience, and Alli is an all-star walker. If Alli has a day off, the Citizen Hound team coordinates everything seamlessly on their side so that I never have to worry about whether my dog is going to get his regular walk. They even make it super easy and convenient to stick with regular grooming routines by scheduling appointments and handling pick up and drop off! My dog literally waits at the door for Alli, and I feel completely confident in Alli and all of the other walkers that I've met. Alli always provides the most thoughtful feedback about how my dog is doing with recall, socializing, etc. (or if he gets messy, so there were no surprises when I get home!). Plus she sends cute pics so I can see how much fun he's having while I'm at work! Can't say enough good things about this company! Well worth the investment in this service!

I recommend Citizen Hound to any dog (and dog owner) living in our neighborhood. We made the best decision for our dog to be part of their group walk for his development. I still remember the first day my dog was picked up by Erick. He came back tired but looking proud. Day by day, his confidence grew, and he gets excited to see Erick and his pack every weekday. We also noticed his walking manner got improved after a month with Citizen Hound. Besides my dog being a big fan of Citizen Hound, I like their consistency and punctuality. Erick shows up at our door around 10:30am every week day morning, and drops our dog off around 1pm. This helped us to plan our activities during the day. We are leaving Citizen Hound because we are moving to the east coast, and I really wish they had a franchise there.

Our puppy joined Citizen Hound at around 5 months old, and it's become. his favorite thing about the day. The team, and especially our pup's walker Justin, are awesome at exercising the dogs both physically and mentally. When the pup gets home, it's clear he's had a ton of fun, and he's relaxed and happy for the rest of the day. It's also a great way for him to meet other dogs in a safe, controlled environment. The CH team are also incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and proactive about handling questions and issues. Highly recommend them.

Citizen Hound was truly instrumental in helping to raise and take care of our little French Bulldog, starting when she was just 8 weeks old. We could always rely on them to take good care of her and make sure that she was happy, healthy, and having fun. You couldn't ask for better dog walkers or a better group to work with. If you have a dog, they need to be part of Citizen Hound.

We have had the pleasure of working with Justin and the team of Citizen Hound for the last two years and cannot praise them and their services enough. Our flat coat retriever has a ton of energy and we were in need of an equally high spirited dog walker which we got and more with Justin. She goes out everyday for several hours with a wonderful pack of friends and Justin not only communicates with us and updates us regularly but he is always genuinely excited and happy to see our pup every day. We are heartbroken to be moving and leaving this incredible team but know that whomever takes our spot is going to be just as happy as we were! The Citizen Hound team does a really great job providing a very valuable service. Throughout our experience, they acted professionally, were organized, communicative, and fair. Couldn't have asked for more. We worked with Aly and were very impressed with how she managed worked with our dog Nala and managed our relationship. In line with the bar set by the Citizen Hound management, Aly was always communicative with us, consistently timely picking up and dropping off Nala, committed to working with Nala to improve, and showed a real passion and care for the dogs in her pack! Citizen Hound has been the greatest for our puppy Chutney. They pick him up promptly each day, take him on amazing adventures that tire him out, and return him a happy (and tired) pup! My work is fairly busy, and I was always worried that during the day, Chutney wouldn't get a fair amount of exercise and socialization. Citizen Hound completely solved that issue for us starting from day 1. We also frequently receive awesome pictures of our dog and his "pack" of good friends, and action videos of him playing and enjoying life. Not only that, they have training sessions with the dogs and help to reinforce good behavior. As a result, Chutney never barks, is on a perfect routine, and is always friendly around other dogs. We couldn't be happier with the service Citizen Hound provides, and all the love they give. It's 100% evident that the folks at Citizen Hound truly care about our furry friends, and they always show it! Citizen Hound is worth every penny and more.

Citizen Hound is a great dog walking company. They are reliable, trustworthy, and love dogs. The company has gone out of their way to help me and give my dog special care. We've cycled through a few dog walkers and all have been great, but I especially love Natalie. She watched my dog when I travel as well, which has been a huge help. I wanted to take some time to tell everyone looking for a dog walker how great Citizen Hound is! Our little pup recently had surgery and Erik and Jill went above and beyond to make sure that he was taken care of during his "down" time. They checked his stitches, took pictures for us, made sure he remained dry on the surgery site, let us know when things looked a little off, and kept us informed every day. Further, Jill kept him on leash when he needed to be, yet made sure that he got enough exercise so that he wasn't bouncing off the walls when we got home. To add to our crazy last few weeks, we have had some repairs done to our apartment which required the pup to have 1 or 2 double-walk days. Erik and Jill have always accommodated on short notice and figured out a way to make it work. I can't express how fortunate we feel knowing that our little guy is being taken care of and in good hands. Jill and Erik made the surgery experience less stressful for us, and we are sure much less stressful for our puppy. We are so lucky to have such an amazing walker in Jill and the support and helpfulness of such a great manager in Erik. They are truly amazing. We love Citizen Hound!

My husband and I have been using Citizen Hound as dog walkers and dog sitters for the past 2+ years. As new puppy parents, we found David and his crew at Citizen Hound to be not only reliable, compassionate and affordable dog walkers, but an endless source of education as well. David encouraged us to call every night to check in on how our puppy Penny was doing the first two weeks with the group and gave us detailed updates on her behavior that day. When Penny started going through her adolescent phase and not listening as well, he was quick to catch her bad habits and work with us on her training. We know Penny loves the Citizen Hound team as well because of the way she runs to the door when they come to get her and the happy, tired puppy we see at the end of the day. The team frequently updates the group's Facebook page with pictures and videos, which we love. More often than once David and his team has helped us in a pinch with dog sitting as well. We would highly recommend David and his team - they are so much for more than dog walkers, they are trainers, teachers and above all - a dog's best friend.
