Wonderful local pet store in SF! They have a bevy of treats and toys for all sorts of animals. The staff was super nice, and they even let us in five minutes after they closed so we could grab a treat for our pup before a long flight.

This review is for Daycare/overnight services only. Black nose also has a boutique pet supply store which is small but with a really nice supply and nice staff. As for Daycare we really wanted to get our dog into Black Nose, as it was very close to our home and it had a great reputation. The waiting list to be added to regular daycare is extremely long. We were number 50 in line when we were added to the list and it was almost 1 year of waiting before we gave up. It’s a popular location and they were kind enough to let us know our place in line each time I called to check in. The three star review stems from the lack of communication when we brought our dog in for (a no-waitlist) overnight stay. The staff takes the dogs on daily walks which is an awesome service, but no-where on their website does it mention anything about it. Our dog is leash-reactive, so it’s a big concern for us, and although I asked each time I brought him in about his stay there, I never learned that they took them on walks until there was an incident. I trusted them to keep my dog and others safe- their communication is not good for such an expensive service. The staff is nice, but if you bring your dog there, the onus is definitely on you to over-communicate about your dog’s special needs.

We’ve been taking our dog here since she was born (2 years ago). Our doggie starts trying to sprint towards Blacknose whenever she’s within a block. Walt and the team take amazing care of her. We love Blacknose!

Noisy AF. Between 5 PM and close, we in the neighborhood are bombarded by a cacophony of barking dogs. It must be pick up time over there, but it’s hard to unwind after a long days work with so much disruptive noise. Furthermore I have asked employees twice to ensure that their supplies delivery truck doesn’t block our driveway but it keeps happening. Seems like pet owners like this place, but from a neighbor perspective, I am less than impressed.

Very warm people who know a lot about how to be with your dog. Kind. Good exercise and walks. Clean. Keep up with vaccinations.
