Via Verde Animal Hospital San Dimas, California

I love this place they are all very nice and Dr is very informative when he comes out to talk to you about your pets needs. Staff are all very friendly and you can tell they care about all the animals they see. I would definatly reconmend Via Verde Vet services.

Everyone is pleasant, caring, and gentle with my dog. They explain everything that will or did happen while she was away from me. Drs. Kumar and George are both easy to talk to, patient, and thorough and encourage my questions. Everyone I've referred to this office has loved them.

I am very impressed with Via Verde Animal Hospital. The Drs were very thorough checking out my Harper and made valuable recommendations. The staff is professional and friendly. The facility is clean. I will return when necessary.

My dog got Poisoned, they were the only place that would see her fast with out a 2 to 3 hour wait. They took her in and I have a healthy dog now!

I went to this veterinarian office for the first time with my lovely dog, Lady. They squeezed me in, although they were very busy. They took wonderful care of my Lady, she was calm and comfortable with them. The treatment plan that they recommended was extremely effective. They called me the next day on the telephone to make sure that she was doing all right. When I said thank you so much for checking in, they said, “of course!” I was thinking to myself, not of course , because my previous veterinarian doesn’t do that. The price was reasonable, and the end result was amazing. My dog had such a horrible ear infection That it scared me. In 24 hours it was exceptionally better because of the care that she received by this vet. The practice is clean and welcoming. The staff was friendly and competent. The veterinarians are professional, friendly, and don’t talk down to you, which is something I really appreciate. The doctor used words that I could understand. The practice is very Covid friendly. They wear masks and they have hand sanitizer out to be used. They practice social distancing and they have you wait for your pet outside (or come back later to pick them up) if it’s going to be a substantial amount of time. I started bringing my 17-year-old chihuahua here a couple of months ago and it’s become her regular veterinary office. The doctors and staff are always very friendly and helpful. I take my little sister’s 10-years-old chihuahua to Banfield as her regular veterinary office but I can definitely tell the difference between the two offices and the way in which they care for their patients. Everyone at Via Verde cares for the patients as if they were their own pets. I can feel calm knowing that my chihuahua is being well taken care of at this office. The staff members are always willing to take the time to answer questions. And I like the fact that they allow walk-ins.

All I can say is that I’m very particular about who handles my pup. My last vet was bought out by VCA and I immediately noticed to change in service provided. VCA is a corporation and they run their facilities like one. Cold, at least in comparison to the original owners before VCA took over. So I left them and tried several new vets. It took time to find one I felt comfortable with. Either, I didn’t like how the techs interacted with me, how they interacted with my boy, or how the doctor interacted with my boy, or how clean/unclean the place was, or how run down vs up to date, or how they would pressure me to do things. But finally I found Via Verde Animal Hospital and they were a pleasant change. Immediately, I felt comfortable with the staff, how they treated my boy and the cleanliness of the facility. I know that veterinarians are places of business and will always try to have you do procedures but they don’t use pressure tactics like other places I’ve been to. Dr. Kumar was the one I interacted with most and he is very patient and takes the time you need to ask you questions and concerns. I’ve already referred 3 people to Via Verde for the reasons stated above and recommend them to anyone searching for a vet.

My little chihuahua terrier mix, Basil had what I thought was a UTI. I just moved to the area so I hadn’t established a vet yet, and so I called Via Verde Animal Hospital. They were able to get me in right away. I was extremely nervous because the vets around here only do curbside and Basil does not like strangers. You could also say I’m an over protective dog mom lol. The tech who came out and got her was so kind, and immediately calmed my nerves. Once I talked to Dr. Kumar he was hands on, caring, knowledgeable and thorough. He took his time diagnosing Basil. I also liked that he acknowledged that I feed my dogs raw and didn’t dismiss it as other vets have in the past. When they brought basil back out to me she wasn’t in any distress at all, the tech also seemed very comfortable holding her and I was so relieved. Overall I had a really great experience and would highly recommend going here.

Where do I start, my baby and I were in dire straights and Via Verde took us in the same day. Coming from a rural area I'm not used to vet offices saying they can't take in emergencies and I have to wait til 6pm for the vet ER to open... besides that the staff here is very kind and sweet, the Dr would even get on the phone and talk with me regarding care, the vet tech would also reach out or call me back promptly when I was needing updates. The office itself was very clean and didn't have a underlying smell. All in all I'm super grateful we found this place and they got my Yogi back to a good healthy place and back home with me

My dog needed emergency care after being attacked by another unknown canine. I called multiple animal clinics but this one welcomed me asap without hesitation. My dog underwent surgery and we got our dog back that same night. He is currently recovering but I would like to thank the staff for the support and care for Coco.

I have taken a few of my pets to via verde and the staff is always so helpful and nice the hospital is very clean and they always take care of my animals I feel like they really care and want to help me and my babies out thank you Via Verde for all you guys do I will continue to bring my pets.

I visited the clinic with my puppy 2 days ago, my puppy had to be hospitalized and I was uncomfortable knowing he'd be alone for entire nights. The team here understood and allowed me to take him home overnights, I'd drop him off in the morning and he got the care he needed. I felt really comfortable leaving my puppy there to be treated, and trusted the staff and doctor. The environment is very clean and warm. Ive been to other clinics where the environment is so cold and it feels shady, but not here. I would 100% vouch for them to my friends and family.

Kind and professional. They’re very willing to talk you through treatment of your pet and don’t try to fleece you on extra meds or procedures you don’t need. It’s hard to find a good vet you can trust, I’ll definitely be going back.

After my other vet in the area for 10 years could not see my sick cat for at least 3 days I called around a lot of places and found this hospital. They agreed to see my cat on the same day. The staff was very kind and helpful. The doctor took his time to run the tests and go over the findings with me in their hospital. My cat ended up being hospitalized for kidney issues but is now back home and doing well. Happy with my experience and good to know they're here!

i have been taking our pets to another vet for years, it got to the point where you couldn't get an appointment the same day, i reached out to Via Verda Vet, made an appointment for just 1 hour after i called. very professional and thorough

I had an appointment today at 10:30 and I had called when I got there on time, they told me someone would be out right away to come get my dog. I waited for them for 30 mins no one came. I called again at 11:00 and they apologized saying there was a confusion and that they would be out right away. Twenty two minutes later no one is out, I call a third time and move parking spots to right in front of the building. They finally came out after an hour and twenty two minutes, two minutes later they came out with an $1087 bill saying my dog needs all these treatments and tests, when all I wanted was to see why she’s itching so much. They didnt even explain the charges and break it down why she needed all of these different treatments, they just tried getting me to pay for it. I had paid for the appointment prior to getting there, and then before they could bring my dog back to me, they sent another lady out trying to collect the payment for the appointment for the second time. Don’t waste your time coming here, spend your money elsewhere. They try to overcharge you for services and medication your pets don’t need.

The hospital staff were very professional so as Dr Kumar. I was presented with all options to make sure my beloved dog gets the best quality treatment. I highly recommend this hospital.

The Doctor and staff were excellent with my dog. They explained everything and took their time to answer additional questions and concerns. The Doctor even called me back the next day to see how my dog was doing.

Incredible! I called about 15 other animal hospitals/urgent cares for my extremely lethargic and actively vomiting pup. Other places were not able to accomodate him so I was extremely grateful to come across Via Verde Animal Hospital. Brought my pup in on Friday where they did curbside testing on him and found out he had Parvovirus. Dr. Kumar and his team were very empathetic, told me their entire treatment plan and were very honest about his condition/prognosis. He had his highs and lows during his stay but thankfully he was discharged on Monday and sent home with medications to continue the treament. I can tell Dr. Kumar and his team (I want to say Sarah and Melissa) really care about their patients and the owners. What I appreciated the most was their communication and sincerity during this tough time. They kept in contact multiple times a day about his condition and always made sure I had my questions answered. I'm very thankful for the team and that my pup is on his road to recovery! 5/5 paw ratings!

Great Doctors and Technicians, but billing and payment staff takes too long.

I needed a same-day appointment and they were very willing. They took good care of my Lab. I received the medicine directly for his ear infection. They were friendly.

My old Vet could not take see my little Daphne for 4 days...She needed to be seen sooner., Via Verde was able to take me as a walk in & started treating Daphne right away. A few years ago, I had an emergency with my friend's dog & they also were able to take her. It was on a Saturday late afternoon. I appreciate that they have very confident Vets & the extended hours.

They took great care of my dog and gave me a very fair price for what she needed to have done. The doctor there is who you want to talk to you when it comes to your pricing. The other staff would charge you according to their training so it’s important you talk to the doctor and find out in detail what they’re charging you forAnd whether it’s necessary or just recommended.

Very loving towards my puppy and very attentive. Would highly recommend to any pet owner.
