Place is filthy you’re pet will more than likely get more sick than it already is bringing them here they wasted my time and lied to me about my 250$ voucher not covering my kittens shots which were due that Day also the humane society told me it covers the shots, and then told me to wait a week to come back and pay for them which doesn’t make sense they just pressured me into doing a exam and didn’t give her her shots that were due horrible experience they are money hungry people will not be coming here again uncomfortable experience

Client over 14yrs, both cats & dogs are patients. Dr Tugend, why we choose this location (orthopedic surgeon) ironically our dog needed knee surgery on both knees. He’s not a vet to make you feel guilty or rack up your bill vs some vets, he reminds me of a country Dr….staff members are great, especially Michelle who is one in a mil employee!! I

One of the best vets I've experienced in 20+ years of pet care. Very prompt, friendly service, and the peaceful, uncrowded waiting room made a big difference in letting my cat relax. Dr. Illel was knowledgeable, efficient, and didn't make me feel rushed. She went above and beyond for my elderly cat. Saved me hundreds of dollars and my cat the danger of having to be put under anesthesia. Prices were very competitive. Was a wonderful experience, definitely returning.

I scheduled a check up as my puppy has been scratching his ears and showing signs of an ear infection. After just a few minutes of being in the room, Dr. Tugend hit my teething 6 month old puppy Koda (Rottweiler). This treatment towards my dog was in no way comforting and only excited him more. Dr. Tugend then degraded Koda by saying how aggressive he was and how we needed to correct him by hitting him or spraying with him water and vinegar. He then brought him to a back room to be “held down” so that he can inspect his ears. This saddens me as if Dr. Tugend had even the slightest bit of patience, he would have learned there are simpler and more effective methods to calm and inspect Koda. Once Koda was brought back to our room, Dr. Tugend began by telling me how much of a problem dog he thinks I have and how I should have been putting tobacco sauce on my hands, hitting him, and spraying him since he was a puppy. This advise is extremely unnecessary and cruel as he later admitted that Koda is a teething puppy and this is only normal behavior for teething puppies (which Koda is!). I informed him how we have received professional training guidance which recommends to NEVER use this type of negative reinforcement. Koda has been making great progress at home and together we will continue to work towards becoming a distinguished gentleman (: Although I feel as if I spent $100 to be humiliated instead of medically informed on my puppies ear condition, I do want to thank the front desk staff for being the only kind and friendly aspect of this experience.

VCA Main Street Animal Hospital is the gold standard of veterinary care. We have a standard poodle who had been afflicted by a clogged sebaceous gland which became uncontrollably infected - for SIX months. It seemed to subside, only to resurge. We had consulted with three other vets before coming to Main Street. Medication: The single antibiotic prescribed by Dr. Tugend had noticeable results after the first dose - truly a miracle. Surgery: The part of the gland protruding from the skin needed to be removed. Our pet was returned to us with a surgical incision that was clean and neat. Cost: Fees charged by Main Street are very affordable. Nothing beats the peace of mind that comes with competent care.

I was scheduled for an appt for the next day at 3pm, when the Vet was briefed on my issue with my dog I received a call asking if I could make it that very same day just a couple of hours away. When I arrived there, it was pouring rain and the vet himself came out to speak to me to get a full picture of what was wrong with my dog. Very glad that I found this place, I will be using them more often.

They put the cast wrong on my fur baby that cause a cut and need 5 stiches so I leave a review because they didn’t apologize and did nothing but today when we came back for follow up check up they take care of my fur baby and fix the problem and for that I’m thankful and I appreciate the apology.

I just visited this place for the first time and the staff was so nice!! My cat was feeling nervous and they brought her back out to my car to be with me as soon as she was done. They are caring and very nice. I’m happy I picked this vet- will be sticking with them! I was in and out within 45 mins and I brought two cats. Highly recommended!

SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND AVOID THIS PLACE! Sat in the parking lot for an hour waiting for my appt just to get turned down because "Nail Trims" are not considered essential. Not to mention, I was given a $69 bill before anyone even looked at my dog or I had even filled out any paperwork. Clearly a lack of communication between the staff here. My senior pup is limping around because his nails are so long that they're breaking off and causing discomfort. Staff members were unprofessional and rude. Go somewhere that actually cares about your pet - not just money. And to the (not so) lovely lady who argued with me about the "reason for my appointment".. DO BETTER!

I adopted two kittens during quarantine. Every time I have talked to someone here (either on the phone or in person) they have always been friendly and knowledgeable! The parking lot is a little tricky to get out of but definitely worth it.

I love bringing Soona here! My one year old pit is always in good hands at this office. No matter how far I move I will continue to keep VCA Main as my primary.

I have been going here for years. I found a receipt at my mother's house from the 60's! We used this office to take care of our working dogs up to the time I retired. Now it's about a 25 mile drive to get there but I don't even consider any other vet. Everyone that works here is awesome. I can't say enough good things about them. Highly recommended

Took our newly adopted dog in for a wellness visit, and brought a stool sample per the email we received (which had visible worms present). Due to the covid 19 situation we printed a list of questions for the vet to answer since we knew we would not be allowed to enter the facility. The vet didn't answer our questions and we were told by the nurses that they would follow up on the questions and email them to us, and we would receive results of the fecal test within 4-5 days. We had to call and be told that the vet only worked on Saturdays so we would have to call then for our fecal test results. We called again today to be very rudely told the vet would call us as only the vet could give us the results, and upon asking the status of the questions we had were told "I don't know anything about that". We then received a call 10 minutes later from a nurse saying the fecal results were negative (even though the sample had visible worms on it) and that the vet probably lost our list of questions. We will definitely not be back and will find a vet that actually cares about their patients and their concerns. Avoid at all costs, not worth the money.

I love this vet hospital for my new puppy! We've been coming here since we got him at 11 weeks. The doctors are very down to earth and get straight to the point without ordering a ridiculous amount of tests/medications. I always speak to Michelle over the phone and she is such a sweetheart, every other staff member we've met as well also treats my dog with care and compassion and it's clear they love their job. Right now during the COVID pandemic they are taking it very seriously and only allowing pet owners to wait in their car while everything else is handled, everyone is always wearing a mask and gloves, and I feel safe coming here. It's always fast and easy and although my dog hates going to the vet he tolerates this VCA office the best!

So I'm somewhat conflicted by this review. While I think most of the workers are caring and do a good job, if you really need something, you have to speak to the lead doctor, and he's not exactly easy to get ahold of. My puppy has seen them 5x, 3 of which involved stomach issues, and they said he had roundworms each time. So all they kept doing was giving me medicine and sending me on my way. This last time, I became somewhat aggravated since it was the 3rd time I had went to them with the same issue and the medicine they gave me seemed to have no real effect as my puppy still had stomach issues. I called and explained this to the lady who answered the phone, and all she kept saying was "you need to talk to the doctor but he's not here". So she said she'd give my message to the doctor to call me back. I received no call back. And this was not the first time - I had to call them multiple times in the past bugging them for responses to my puppy's stool tests when they were supposed to call me. I think the doctor is simply overbooked. For what its worth, I finally gave up on them and talked to a friend's cousin who is a vet in Vegas. After a short exchange of text messages and a short phone convo, he gave me some suggestions (chicken and rice, medicine off amazon, and called in a prescription to walgreens) and after 48 hours of following his instructions, my puppy was back to normal. Which verified I needed a new vet - this one probably would have just done more stool samples and sent me on my way.

Edit: The manager contacted me & saw that my coupon was honored for my second pet. I'm super grateful for that as pet care can get expensive. They're willing to work with you so I'm changing my rating to 5 stars. Thank you guys!! Saw a coupon online so I decided to try it out- said it was good for two pets. I called to confirm coupon was good for two pets- they said "of course" so I scheduled the appt. They didn't tell me until AFTER I got there that it's only good if you bring them in on the SAME DAY & I will have to pay full price for the new patient appt for my other cat. It wouldn't have been a big deal if they would've told me that in the first place... On the plus side, they were all super nice.
