As hard as it is to loose a pet and make the final decision to have to put them to sleep, Transitions Vet Sevices is the only way to go. This was the 2 nd time we had to call them. We had the pleasure of meeting Justin and having him gently put our 18 year old kitty to sleep. If you are sadly in the need for this service you will not be sorry calling them.. Justin was very kind, gentle, loving and caring.

Our 15 year old dog no longer had much quality of life left when I contacted Transitions Veterinary Services. They were so quick to answer questions we had and the day we decided we needed in home euthanasia for our dog, they provided a 5:00 appointment. Our dog started the day ok, but as we got closer to our appointment she seemed to be in more distress. We contacted them and Dr. Altman was able to come 20 minutes early. He gave our dog an intramuscular injection of a sedative, then shaved a rear leg, and then injected pentobarbital intravenously for her euthanasia. He was so kind. She was in her favorite bed surrounded by us and our other dogs. She went to sleep quickly and quietly. They also do aquemation (cremation done with alkaline fluids rather than fire/heat) and received her ashes about 3 weeks later. $300 for the euthanasia, and $170 for the aquemation and receiving her ashes in their standard urn. Also included a paw print. The box containing all of this were topped with fresh flowers. All in all, an outstanding experience, at a reasonable cost.

The Transition services were recommended to me by dr Louis from Harmony Hospital, after we tried everything my almost 17 years cat Lucy didn’t recover from kidney decease and I have no choice but to stop her suffering. Lucy was a home body and for her was extremely stressful to leave the house. I called Transition and they were very caring and understanding. We settled the time. The Dr come exactly on time. Lucy was relaxed and ready, she passed away in my hands. Lucy was cremated and I received her ashes in nice box and print of her paw. I highly recommend the services of Transition.

Peaceful Transition When the time came to make the unbearable decision for our dear golden retriever I reached out to Transitions. Within an hour Dr. Altman was at our home. He provided the most professional, compassionate care; he explained each step of the process and gave our family time to grieve and say our goodbyes. Our girl passed peacefully and we knew she was ok, forever in our hearts. I can't express the absolute comfort of being in our home with family members surrounding our sweet Tella.

I called on a Saturday because I was in need of their service. I got an appointment for Sunday. Dr. Altman was wonderful and compassionate. He allowed for a very peaceful goodbye for our 17 year old kitty. He arrived on time and we all wore masks. The process was done inside the house and it made for a comfortable end to my kitty's suffering. The process took about 30 minutes.

Justin was incredible tonight with the passing of our beloved dog. Grateful for his consideration during COVID, thankful for his compassion during a difficult time, and appreciative of his skill. I recommend highly doing this at home. It allows you to be in your pets safe place as it happens.

I cannot express how grateful I am with Dr. Justin Altman, and the service that was rendered to us by Transition Veterinary Services. My beloved Neron-- a min pin-- was battling hemangiosarcoma in his spleen at 15 years old. I tried everything I could to help him stay a little longer--even though I knew hemangiosarcomas are SO aggressive. The service was the best. Since the very first time I called, I got the best treatment. I almost had a different service come over because they offered to come in sooner than what was available. Nevertheless, that dreadful day, the other service (Home Sweet Home) was available 2 hours prior to Transitions- but, after learning that I was NOT going to be able to hold Neron whilst he passed, made push back a couple of more hours since Transitions told be they would allow me to do the latter, albeit, with all the precautions due to Covid. I waited because I knew Neron was not in pain. Just ready to pass. I cannot express how holding my Neron in my arms has brought me so much peace and closure. I cannot say that I would have been better if they euthanized him away from me. Even if at home. I highly recommend Transitions , Tracy, and the first receptionist that took my very first call--I can't remember her name--but, she was the one who me come back for Transitions, for sure. Thank you, Dr. Altman for your compassion, and state of the art service. I am truly gracious.

This is the second time we’ve used Transitions services and Dr. Altman has been exceptionally compassionate both with us and our loved ones. We lost Bubba 18 months ago at 13 1/2 and his brother Forrest last week at 15. Both times we needed to make the decision on timing and Transitions helped and never made us feel rushed nor guilty. Thank you so much for helping us at this difficult time.

I'm so glad we chose Transitions for one of our most difficult times. From the beginning to the end of this journey, there was no doubt that in-home euthanasia was the right option. We debated a lot about when the "right time" would be. Tracey was very understanding, patient and empathetic. We cancelled our appointment multiple times and she never made us feel like we were being a bother. When the day finally came, Dr. Altman came to our house in the evening and slowly explained the whole process to us. He is very knowledgable and patient. They really work with you to make the experience more comfortable for everyone. We did not feel rushed at all and the actual procedure was over fairly quickly and painlessly. They work with Circle of Life Cremations and they were also great. We had his remains within a week, packaged nicely, a plaster paw print and seed bombs to plant forget-me-nots and wildflowers. We also received a separate card in the mail with tons of handwritten condolences from the people in their office. Thank you for turning this challenging decision into something special.

I highly recommend Transitions Veterinary Services, and I don't often recommend. When it was time for our fur baby to go (we waited longer than we should have) they sent someone within the hour on a Saturday. Justin spent time talking to all of us, showed so much love and compassion and sent a written sympathy card the next week! He really made us feel like he knew and cared for our pet in her final moments. A great experience in a difficult and sad time. *Nothing was provided in return for this review. Forever grateful

Having to euthanize a pet is heartbreaking, but I am so grateful to Dr. Justin Altman for helping us and our Molly through it. He made sure everyone was comfortable, he let us take the time we needed to say goodbye, and he made sure we knew exactly what to expect at each step of the process. Most importantly, he allowed Molly to pass with dignity and absolutely no anxiety in the comfort of our home. I highly recommend Transitions. Side note: My experience was nothing like the one described in the 1-star review left below. When I called in to schedule the appointment, reception was helpful and compassionate. I valued their transparency and sensitivity while explaining all of the options and pricing.

I cannot say enough about how very much our family appreciates everything Dr. Sue Wilson did to help us through this very difficult experience. Not only was Dr. Wilson incredibly calm and genuinely kind, she also was very empathetic and loving both with our boy, Guinness, and with all of us. She took a lot of time on the phone with me making arrangements prior to coming to our home. She answered every question I had and explained the procedure and what we should expect very thoroughly. Every step of the way, she allowed me to ask questions and was very patient and worked with my schedule to make things as easy as possible. Dr. Wilson allowed us to select Guinness' favorite spot in the yard as the location for the procedure. She was so very sweet, loving and reassuring to Guinness and to us during a time we really needed support. In addition to performing the in-home euthanasia, she also took care of handling all the arrangements including transportation for his cremation, with Angel Paws Pet Aftercare. About a week after his passing, we received the most wonderful card and hand written note from Dr. Wilson. We were so grateful for how truly loving compassionate she is with both the animals and families she is helping during such an emotional and difficult time. She truly is an angel!

Thank you Dr. Altman for your loving care for our sweet girl Raja. Your compassion and experience made a really tough situation much easier to take. And thank you for working on Sundays - it truly is a valuable service you offer and I don't know what we would have done if we had to wait until Monday.
