We had what appeared to be an injured hawk. The hawk could not fly well and was being harassed by a group of Ravens. The hawk was not moving from the ground for a over an hour or so. We contacted Project Wildlife and explained the situation and they dispatched someone right away who came out and assessed the hawk. Thankfully, the hawk was not injured. It was just a juvenile who was still learning to fly and fend for itself and after a bit of education from the wildlife officer, we were confident that the hawk would be ok and did not need a rescue. The immediate response and education was phenomenal!

This will be a movie that I hold on to forever in North county and then my girlfriend auto parts store and we noticed an introduct and the natives in the area we're talking about eating it so after about an hour and a half we have a successful rescue or we just wore the thing out and it was tired we captured it in a box and took it to the project wildlife but they're going to rehabilitate it to its strongest peak I'm going to sit back into the wild thank you project wildlife for creating a memory that I'll no chairs for lifetime with me and Michelle Acero.

We found this seagul running across the Mission Bay Drive Bridge. He kept tripping over his broken wing; summersalting, then lying on his back w/feet still running in the air. Funny, but heart wrenching. I coulden't just walk by, so we caught him & took him to Project Wildlife. Awesome people, place & mission.

Sometimes there is a sad case of an injured wild animal. I'm so glad these people are here. They took in the baby possum from inside my house, with the promise to check him out and return him to his own neighborhood.

Today morning, I found one injured bird from our yard. The bird was nestling. I was so much worried since I am new to San Diego and I don't know how to get help to save the bird. Finally I called project wildlife, they immediately rescued the birds. Thanks for saving the bird project wildlife team. Please update the status of the bird if possible.

I called this morning for the hurt owl we found. Please let me know how he is doing! I already miss him so much! He was very friendly and allowed me to grab and touch him. I gave a donation for his medication. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW THAT HE ARRIVED SAFE :(

We saved a bird from being attacked by a crow. They took it in no problem. Their goal is to rehabilitate and release birds within 3 miles of where they were found.

We found a baby bird on the ground with what appeared to be an injured wing. We were able to take it to the 24 hour drop off for injured animals/wildlife. A great experience knowing these wonderful people are there to help.

We have to thank them for taking care of animals I took a little bird there I was a little disappointed that when I got there they were closed but I was happy that they do have an after hours drop off

I was so impressed how well this after-hours facility was set up. The attention to detail by leaving crates, containers, heating pads, etc. was incredible. I left the baby hummer there knowing she was in great hands and that she'd thrive. I'll be sending in a donation today!

If I could give them zero stars for this experience I would. My brother took a baby possum we found in( approx. 2 months old) . The lady took baby possum back for intake, my brother signed papers, and they gave him back the carrier. Well, what they neglected to do was to take the possum out of the carrier all together!! So we never saw the baby possum again until we found him dead today inside a towel he must have continued to hide in after we got the carrier back. Mistakes happen, but come on project wildlife. You had one job!! :( I’m heartbroken. So please check your carriers when you get them back. I don’t want this to happen to you.

Project Wildlife is so wonderful. A finch fell out of its nest near my home and I took it here to hopefully avoid suffering - I was so impressed by how friendly and welcoming everyone was. Visiting Project Wildlife restored my faith in humanity!!

Not sure that rating this as "loved it" for five stars, but they have been super helpful in accepting injured wildlife that I've happened upon during hikes. I'm thankful for their mission.

I found an injured bird and was able to take it to project wildlife after hours. FYI The main entrance and after hours doors are to the right as soon as you pull into the driveway. If you’re going to drop off after hours then there’s an after hours door right next to the main entrance. You go inside and there’s a short form to fill out and then they have cages for you to put the rescued animal in; as well as heating pads. Took a minute for me to find it but hope this helps others dropping off after hours. So happy our city has this available.

Horrible Organization They don't save animals, they KILL them! Don't take any wildlife to this center.

Project Wildlife was once a noble, *very* worthwhile, and wholly underfunded organization "tilting at windmills" for several years. But now they've moved, been merged, and become even more reduced. It's sad (even tragic) but true, and makes this old San Diego native want to cry. I made a food & cash donation, but the lady there seemed barely interested (?) and frankly told me my food donation would be given to the domestic pet shelter next door, perhaps revealing P.W. to be little more than a facade nowadays? Please, *please* prove me wrong.

my cat got ahold of a bird over the weekend and this was one of the only places I could find to bring it, they had great social distancing protocols and hand washing station at the drop off point
