My dogs are always well treated at Pet Hospital of North Park. Dr. Osawa is great, he is always right on diagnoses. Luke got surgery on dec 17 and his recovery is going great. I appreciate all Drs and staff for their amazing work! We also take Zig, our other dog over there every time we need and we are so thankful for their work.

Scheduled us for an urgent dog injury on a day they are closed. We could've gotten this fixed on late Tuesday night. Now we are scrambling for an urgent care.

Do not go here this vet is HORRIBLE and unprofessional. I brought my cat in because his toe nail had fallen off and and I believed it looked infected. The vet insisted this was not the case at all and that it looked like a cryptococcosis which is about a 200 dollar test. He wrote me up a invoice for 500 dollars with a 20 dollar cone fee. The cone was not even long enough so he was still able to lick his wound. He didn’t even give me an antibiotic and told me he would call me in 3 days with the test results. 5 days later I called and received the results from the receptionist and she told me the vet had not been in the office. I took him to another vet due to the sheer ignorance and unprofessionalism I experienced from this office. He was immediately put on amoxicillin and I was told to put a small sock over his wounded foot. That vet visit was 80 dollars and he is now healthy and it turned out to just be an infection as I told this vet. This place tries to drain you of every penny you have and the vet has no idea what he is talking about I have no medical training and my medical diagnosis was more accurate then this vets.

Took my cat here for the first time today since my usual vet clinic was booked for weeks!! I knew my cat needed immediate care so I was able to get an appointment the next morning after calling. Filled out a short form in the car and was able to talk to one of the employees about what is going on with my cat. I didn’t get her name unfortunately, but she was very friendly & very helpful. She listened to us and our concerns and was able to get what needed to be done within a short amount of time. She gave us tips on what to do at home and I felt my cat Asami was in very good hands today. Will definitely be going back in the future since the main thing is appointment availability is a lot more here than my current vet I have now. I would definitely recommend this place to others & prices were about the same as if I went to my other vet clinic. :)

Dr Kelly is very, very good, friendly and helpful. Vet staff that come to pick up the dogs are very very. Some of the people that answer the phones are so rude and belligerent I wonder how they keep their jobs. I would have got fired if I ever talked to a customer like that. I guess the days of customer service and respecting elders are over. B STREET vet is the best but they are very, very expensive and hard to get into.

They were super communicative & explained everything that was going to happen since it’s a curbside check in. Made sure our dog got the best help. Super helpful will go to again!

This is a wonderful clinic! They were very responsive, professional, and sweet towards my cat. I was kept in the loop during her drop off visit and I was given options on how to handle the situation, which I appreciated. Will definitely come back here for all my cat’s needs!

Well I would say this is one of the dishonest vet's. Doing whatever they can to get 1 more customer even if they have to lie to get them. I called for an appointment and the lady I talked to said the would be doing car in person visits. I was thinking very last "customer" of the day. I explained the situation to the assistant and told her my dog will not go anywhere with a stranger. Let alone leave me outside at the time. They said I could come in if I wore a mask. I said no. I can't wear a mask for several reasons. 1st is Chronic bronchitis. Very difficult for me to breathe oxygen through carbon dioxide. Because when you wear a mask you re doing bad things to your body. Those masks are only designed to be worn by doctors for 5 to 15 minutes at a time because of brain damage from: Let's hear it. "CARBON DIOXIDE POISONING". The human body can't process carbon dioxide expelled then taken back in repetitively. Oxygen deprivation is what people ate suffering from because they choose to be paranoid and listen to the real virus. News media. News media and politicians are the real virus. Not covid 19. Just don't go hear. They lie... Richard T.

I would'nt go back simply based on the unprofessional manner of the vet . Plenty of caring thoughtful vets out there.

Completely appalled by the treatment received here. We recently adopted a rescue who unfortunately developed a cough. Our normal vet was booked and so we had to improvise and ended up at Pet Hospital. The only positive part of this experience would be the reception staff, they were friendly and helpful. The technician, a man, was completely dismissive of our concerns and unprofessional when it was time for discharge. We had warned him that our new dog had a fear of being touched on the neck (from a previous bad experience clearly), however his response was "yeah she's a husky they're like that" and proceeds to hastily throw a collar around her neck. This lead to her crying out in fear as he had just been warned. Mind you, she already had a harness on but he deemed it necessary to traumatize a dog with an already unfortunate past. When he brought her out he just handed us a pill bottle and said take two a day. I understand trying to de-risk with less face-to-face contact, however this is completely inadequate. There was no mention of quarantining the dog from our other dog (kennel cough) or even how long to keep them apart. Had we not asked or done our own research we could have possibly exposed our older dog. I can't speak to the quality of the vet, we had no interaction via phone or face-to-face. San Diego has a many options for vets, I would recommend you continue searching.

I took my 2 cats here in the past, and always seemed to have a weird experience. For example, my male cat was wet when I picked him up from being neutered. They are super expensive to boot. Would not return.

I had an appt for my service puppy in training and I arrived early to fill out the paperwork, only to be immediately met with an aggressive attitude. I began to inform the male vet tech with the shaved head about what restrictions have to be met with him; no one else can give him commands. He cut me off mid-sentence 3 times and told me they were gonna throw him in a room and call me when he's ready, and if I didn't like it I could go somewhere else. Unreal! I drove 1 block down the road to Bodhi Animal Hospital and made an appt for my puppy. A vet that doesn't even listen to the client isn't worth paying to protect the most precious little guy in my life. I recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

Not bad but not great. They provide bare minimum care. They only seem capable of handling one request at a time. And don't care to do more. Which puts a lot of pressure on me as a pet owner to stay on top of my pet's health needs. My previous vet (before I moved) was super pro active and informative about my pets health and gave me confidence that he was receiving all the care he needs. That isn't the case here. Like I said, not bad but also not great. Hopefully, they can improve their customer service to deliver a more personalized care experience for my pet.

My veterinarian recently retired and has not been replaced. I dread finding a new veterinarian because it seems that many are more concerned with profit than our pets. I'm new to Pet Hospital of North Park, but my dog is 10 years old now and need of dental cleaning. A neighbor went there and informed me that their dental cleaning is much more reasonably priced than other vets. There are four vets there, so it is much easier to get an appointment than the vets I used to go to with only one veterinarian. As I said, I'm a new customer, but so far everybody has been very pleasant and responsive.

I recently visited Pet Hospital of North Park and was very happy with the professional service ans safety protocols in place. Due to COVID precautions pet owners are not allowed to accompany their pets into the building, when I arrived the parking lot was clearly marked and each parking stall was numbered. A sign out front indicated to call the front desk, which I did and was easily helped. I let them know I had an appointment scheduled and which stall I was in. Unfortunately, after waiting some time, about 25 min past my scheduled appointment I had to call back to check on the status of my appointment. I was immediately apologized to and explained that they were short staff for the day. When the tech came out shortly after they apologized again and said that my puppy's nail clipping would be done free of charge for the inconvenience, score! I didn't even ask for this but definitely appreciated it. Overall, the staff were kind, courteous and professional. I didn't mind waiting a bit longer initially as I understand how things go. However I feel that service was above and beyond. Side note, my puppy is rather shy and still very young, when the tech came to take her inside the building, my puppy peed a little in my car. The tech came back out to my car with paper towels and sprayed a cleaning solution and later came to collect the trash! Wow, really great! Overall I felt very comfortable, safe (with their COVID precautions) and that my puppy was in good hands!

Extremely caring staff. Very responsive and helpful. LaVonna and Brianna just the other day were helpful, kind, and patient as I took in both my cats for their vaccines during the covid pandemic. Will never take any pet to another vet.

LEVON OR LEVONA interrupted me 3 times and takes over me telling me a problem that was not right. She was a bad customer service rep and is a terrible representative of the company. I will not use the hospital again because of her. BEWARE , She is there and not serving the customer. Ruse and mean.

I got a puppy and this is my first dog, the staff here is amazing and very helpful and informative. They offer lots of services and they make things simple in terms of what my puppy needs. My first visit was quick but I learned a lot about my puppy and how to care for her. It feels like she is in good hands at this hospital.
