Staff was great and gentle with my injured pet. Most 24/7 animal hospitals rejected our walk-in request. Yes, I waited many hours to be seen but my mind is at ease now. Love & Respect for the long & late hours they are open.

Let me start off by saying I am a paramedic with certain cleanliness standards that should be followed to prevent blood bourn pathogens, and certain safety measures to protect any person or animal from accidental sticks with dirty needles. This place did not meet those standards at all. One good point, they were able to get me in quickly for my dog's ear infection. Upon getting into the room the very sweet vet tech took me to get my dog's weight, the vet's wife yelled at me? at the vet tech? that the doctor was waiting! Once he got in to see my dog he had me lift my dog (80 pounds, I'm a 33 yo female) onto the table so he wouldn't have to bend over to look at him. The table doesn't lower like some vet tables do, and it also felt like it was tipping at some points during the procedure. He had me lift my dog down and then wanted him on the table again so I had to lift him up again. He gave my dog two shots without telling me what they were, I might not have consented to one because it was dextrose? I don't know what that did for him? He then left the needles on the table while attempting to clip my dog's nails, I had to ask them to move the shots somewhere else. I was worried my dog was going to step on them. The vet also called his vet tech to get a muzzle for my dog, without any reason to do so, I'm not certain he had even laid eyes on my dog at that point in time, my dog is absolutely the sweetest and has zero reason to be muzzled. I told him that I would hold my dog and he absolutely didn't need to be muzzled. Even though he yelped in pain every time the vet cut his nails, he didn't growl or snap or anything like that, he would never. He is the best boy. I take my dog elsewhere to get his nails clipped because I don't want to get the quick, he got it on every single nail and made him bleed from every nail. He wasn't clean about it either, he handled the bottle of ear cleaner and the flea medication with bloody hands so he sent me home with stuff that was covered in blood. I had to remind him about the flea medication I was asking for and then his wife tried to send me out without it. As I was checking out, the vet was calling from another room for a towel to wrap a cat who had been audibly fighting whatever they had been trying to do, his wife, who was checking me out was shouting at the vet techs to get a towel and there was back and forth yelling across the office about there being no clean towels, and his wife said to grab a dirty one, one she had with her boots (or maybe with boots an animal? I don't know). The Vet and his wife were also not wearing their masks over their noses. This place was generally not clean. The vet techs were nice, but the vet and his wife didn't seem to have it together. I will not be taking my dog back there and I sincerely hope nobody else does either. The lack of concern with handling dirty sharps and the lack of cleanliness when it came to spreading blood around would be reason enough to avoid them.

Dr. Lee is very attentive and checks in on dogs about a week later depending on their prognosis. I’ve never had a vet do that before. he also gives you a very realistic breakdown of what your dog is dealing with and how to work together to fix it. We will continue to see Dr. Lee for as long as we are in the area.

The place is worn down, but clean. Honestly I read the reviews before going and I can echo almost all of the negative comments. I would NOT trust leaving my dogs here at all (for boarding or surgery) and will not be back. I had a terrible experience here and would caution other pet owners from bringing their pets here.

This is the best vet ever !!!! We’ve tried other vets in San Diego with two of our dogs and this place by far exceeded our expectations. Dr. Lee sits down with us and explains in detail what is going on and what the bloodwork / test results mean. Other places just tell you your dog tests negative or positive and maybe gives you remedies. Dr. Lee goes into why what is causing X, Y, Z... he explains it so you understand and is very transparent about what he is doing , recommends, and why. 100 , 10/10 recommend him and this place.

Killed a family cat who was only here to get her ears cleaned. Do not visit this clinic.

Dr. Lee is definitely the only vet I trust with my cats and dogs in all of San Diego! He's a great doctor who will ensure that your pets will be safe in his care and practice.

Really great vet. $40 for basic check up which is less than the market average. I never feel like I'm being sold anything I don't need and the receptionists are always very patient. The doctor is awesome and you can tell he knows what's he's talking about. He's saved me thousands by only recommending what my dog really needs. I've been coming here for years with no plans to change!

My dog thought the vet was scary and they grossly overcharged for a small procedure. Ny dog is very sweet and likes everyone but was running from this man. He also tried to tell me to express my dogs anal glands at home, overdoing this can actually cause serious damage. I wont be back.

Dr. Lee has been the Vet for 6 of our family dogs. He always answers his phone after hours. He is good with follow up and always goes above and beyond. I have moved and decided to take the dogs for a drive to see him. He is the best.

New to the area. Went to this vet on a recommendation. Not a good visit. While the staff was nice enough, the vet did not seem to have any empathy for an older, sick, and mostly blind cat. No introduction to make the cat feel more comfortable, he just reached into the cage and grabbed him. The cat was NOT happy with the vet, and neither were we. He hissed, and that is almost unheard of, despite the many vet visits he's had to endure recently. Maybe the vet's more of a dog person? Next visit was to a cat only hospital, where the experience was much better. No hissing. And their pricing was far more reasonable with the first time discount. Won't be going back.

When I got my new puppy, I was able to get a next day appointment to have him checked out. There was no office visit charges for the first visit either! Routine shots donot require an office visit or appointment making this a great place to go for wellness care!

Dr. Lee was so great! He explained everything to us about what was wrong with our cat, Beau. He makes sure you understand what's going on with your pet and the staff was super friendly. Definitely a family vet. Will be coming back next time our cat gets sick!

Where to begin. Mission Gorge Animal hospital is hands down the best animal hospital around. Why? Glad you asked. Their staff is always friendly and caring, and Dr. Lee is caring and super knowledgeable. I took my two dogs to them for many years, and recently moved to Arizona. I can't tell you how much I miss them. I have visited vets here in Gilbert, Arizona and all they seem to care about is how to squeeze every last cent out of you. Dr. Lee is not one of those kinds of doctors. He takes his time to explain to you what your pet is going through and what conditions are going on. He is thorough and does not nickle and dime you, as he is fair and not money hungry. He gives you options when it come to treatment so you know what's available, and you make the final decision. His prices are fair and less than other vets I had gone too before I found him. I even go as far as scheduling appointments with them when I visit San Diego, or if I need an honest opinion. I have gladly driven the 6 hours from Arizona to take my dogs to him, as was the case not too long ago when my dog needed some teeth extracted, but she is in early stages of renal failure so caution needed to be taken. Dr. Lee took great care of her and even calls you personally to check up on your pet! I really miss these guys, I truly do. I wish they were in Arizona! Please move here?
